  • 21:12 - Teen Wolf - Season 5 - MyFanbase Interview with Ashton Moio
Thanks to Philomina for the heads up.
You mentioned in an interview your "Twisted" character Rico and you are pretty similar, so there's probably not a lot you have in common with your "Teen Wolf" character Donovan - What was it like getting into and explore such a different and troubled mindset?

It was a lot of fun. Playing Donovan I just put myself into those circumstances and had to find what would make me that angry, everyone has impulses to do and say things he says and does, it's just in life there's consequences, but when I played Donovan i had nothing else to lose I think.

While Rico is funny and in the moment, Donovan is angry and hung up about the past. Were you looking for such different roles at these certain points of your career?

Yes, I felt like I was experiencing things in life and emotionally understood things that I wasn't able to express in past work I'd done, so it was fun to get to express that with this part.

In #5.03 you had the big opening scene in the police office with 7 actors involved, a lot of heated anger and Donovan's hate. Can you talk a little bit how such a big scene is made?

I showed up on set, did the scene with the other actors, based on what we did and how the director wanted to shoot it we blocked it out, and then they went through and covered it from all the angles.

  • 20:40 - Incorporated - Dennis Haysbert, David Hewlett & Ian Tracey Join Cast
SYFY ANNOUNCES GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE DENNIS HAYSBERT, DAVID HEWLETT AND IAN TRACEY TO JOIN CAST OF SYFY’S NEW FUTURISTIC ESPIONAGE THRILLER PILOT INCORPORATED NEW YORK – August 19, 2015 – Syfy today announced that Golden Globe nominee Dennis Haysbert (24), David Hewlett (Stargate Atlantis) and Ian Tracey (Wayward Pines) have joined the cast of the channel’s new futuristic espionage thriller pilot Incorporated from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street Films, CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions. Set in a world where companies have unlimited power, executive Ben Larson (Sean Teale, Reign) is forced to change his identity in order to infiltrate a cut-throat corporate world at SPIGA and save the woman he loves. In the process, he will take on the entire system -- with deadly consequences. Dennis Haysbert plays series regular Julian, Head of Security and probably the most feared person at SPIGA headquarters. Part detective and part grand inquisitor, Julian is a tenacious investigator with an uncanny ability to sniff out moles and traitors in the company. Haysbert’s numerous credits include Major League, The Unit, Absolute Power, Jarhead and Ted 2. David Hewlett has joined the cast of the pilot as Chad, a high-level executive at SPIGA, the all-powerful company in Incorporated, who has reached his position by appeasing his superiors and taking credit for the achievements of his subordinates. Hewlett has appeared in SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Dark Matter and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Ian Tracey has joined the cast of the pilot as Terrence, a corrupt businessman who quickly becomes a benefactor to Theo (Eddie Ramos, Parenthood), but could also become a threat to Ben’s plans for SPIGA. Tracey has starred in Intelligence, Rogue and Bates Motel. The pilot will also star Georgina Haig (Once Upon a Time), Eddie Ramos (Teen Wolf) and Julia Ormond (Mad Men). Incorporated is created by David and Alex Pastor (Selfless, The Last Days), who wrote and will direct the pilot. Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife) will serve as executive producer/showrunner, with Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Todd also executive producing. Pearl Street Film’s Margaret Chernin will serve as associate producer.

  • 20:40 - Lionsgate’s Summit Picks Up "Lucy" inspired Sci-Fi Script
Lionsgate’s Summit Entertaintment label just acquired an untitled spec script from screenwriter John Gary, described as a “grounded” sci-fi thriller which is a character-driven property in the vein of Luc Besson’s box office smash Lucy. The original script was called Sarah. Another strong female leading a pic? No argument here. The project will be produced by The Gotham Group’s Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein. Gary wrote the script based on an original idea from Robinson apparently. Execs at Lionsgate — Gillian Bohrer and James Myers — loved it and picked it up.

  • 18:55 - Last Man Standing - Jay Leno To Guest
Jay Leno is switching networks … for ABC’s Last Man Standing.

EW has learned exclusively that the former Tonight Show host will guest-star on the upcoming fifth season as a car aficionado — no, he’s not playing himself. His character sells a car to Vanessa (Nancy Travis) as a gift for her husband Mike (fellow car collector Tim Allen). However, once Vanessa gives the car to Mike, Jay’s character keeps showing up to talk cars and hang out.

Leno, whose former YouTube show Jay Leno’s Garage hits CNBC on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET, has few TV credits where he isn’t playing himself. Among those where he is include Louie, Entourage, Scrubs and The West Wing.

Last Man Standing returns Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

  • 03:00 - Cleopatra TV Series in Development
Thanks to RD for the heads up.

David Ellender’s Slingshot Global Media is developing Cleopatra as a TV series with Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) attached to write and direct. Slingshot Global will distribute the series. A search is underway for an actress to play the famous queen of ancient Egypt.

The series will be a new take on the life story of Cleopatra. Instead of focusing on the arch seductress made famous by her affairs with men like Julius Caesar and Marc Antony, the show will highlight the opposite – that these men were famous because of her. It will follow the narrative of an 18-year-old girl who came to be a pharaoh and a queen – a woman who was brighter, more intelligent, richer and a better administrator and ruler than the men of her time. The series will reimagine Cleopatra’s history, reinventing her as the modern woman, a woman that understood the power of myth and turned herself into a myth, constantly reinventing herself. It will highlight her great loves and her survival in the face of repeated assassination attempts, which made her one of the most dangerous, yet most powerful, thrones of all time.
