Over the first five episodes of this season there has been a lot of foreshadowing for most of the events that happened in this episode, entitled Two Scents. Now that these events have come to a head I’m anticipating the fallout and looking forward to whats going to happen next. In the meantime I must say that I enjoyed this episode as things happened that I’ve been waiting for, but I was also angered at that the same time.
The case that they were working on was an interesting one. They were trying to help a married celebrity couple that seem to have problems that would have been better suited for a marriage counsellor then the Masters and Johnson practice. It was a great depiction of how some celebrity couples probably are. Marrying each other because they’re celebrities and one actually loving the other, while the other is in love with the idea of the other. This case is one of my favourites as I could really see this being authentic.
I have been waiting for a couple episodes now to see Libby go to the apartment that Joy had rented. I wasn’t sure what she was going to do when see did see it, but it wasn’t overly surprising that she pretended to be Joy and used the apartment to get away from her life. It didn’t last very long before she told Joy’s husband about the apartment and lost the space for herself. Now the question is, is she going to get her own apartment? For the longest time I’ve been waiting for Libby to stand up to Bill and tell him that she can’t continue living the way they do but it hasn’t happened yet. I’m starting to wonder if that's going to happen at the same time when Bill finds about Virginia and Dan, leaving Bill alone. How do you think that’s going to play out?
A major part of this episode that drove me crazy, and I hated to watch, was Bill assisting in coaching the football team. Watching Bill try to make an effort to have a better relationship with Johnny only to end up pushing him further away, was infuriating to me. It was great to see him make the effort but watching him be nice and form a bond with the boy that was bullying Johnny, was absolutely maddening! How could Bill not see that as a huge mistake that would only make things worse? I couldn't be more disappointed and mad with Bill myself! Were you as outraged about this as I was?
