Baby Daddy - What Happens in Vegas - Review: “Silky Dobbs”

This has to be one of my favorite Baby Daddy episodes ever! I love when the whole gang is together because like I’ve said many times before, one of the best things about this show is the cast and the chemistry of the ensemble.

We’re gearing up for Bonnie and Brad’s wedding so of course we needed a bachelor/bachelorette party themed episode! Obviously, this was bound to be super fun and crazy and I was not disappointed. The episode began with Bonnie telling everyone that they need to respect Brad and their relationship more and her finding out that everyone has been taking bets on how long they’ll last. Obviously this is the exact opposite of what she’s asking for but totally typical of Ben to orchestrate this whole thing. Brad enlisted Danny as his best man and to organize his bachelor party and Bonnie made Riley her maid of honor and asked her to plan the bachelorette. Neither of them wanted the other to get too crazy though, which led Bonnie to ask Ben to help plan a tame night for Brad. We also found out that Tucker was going on a mysterious “business” trip which turned out to be in Vegas. Once Danny and Ben found out, they decided they had to have Brad’s Bachelor party there and find out what Tucker was up to. After hearing that the boys were going to Vegas, Bonnie decided that her and Riley had to follow them there to confront them about their wild ways.

Once they arrived in Vegas we didn't have to wait long before we found out what Tucker was up to. He has a secret Vegas show that he does every year to live out his dream as a lounge singer. This was my absolute favorite part of this whole episode. He totally stole the show and his performance as Silky Dobbs is EVERYTHING! Also, that little old lady who was obsessed with him! Too funny! The Vegas trip was filled with tons of hijinks, with everyone trying to avoid running into each other, a confrontation during Tucker’s big performance, and a crazy night of drinking which led to a surprise wedding between Brad and Danny and Bonnie getting handcuffed to her favorite magician. In the end, even when they tried to keep all of this craziness from each other, after everything was out in the open, Bonnie and Brad just had to laugh because it was totally like them to get into all these situations. They've certainly been through a lot, so this really did nothing to deter their love story and they clearly are meant to be at this point.

During this episode, we also got confirmation that Danny is single again!!! So that’s exciting! I absolutely loved Danny in this episode, he stood up for himself and finally told Ben the truth and told him what we’ve all been thinking for the past….forever? He told Ben that he needs to get over Riley and stop complaining about their unrequited love because Danny has loved her his whole life without any returned feelings until now. Ben reacted the exact way that I thought he would and stormed off, very upset. Next week in the finale we’ll be seeing how he handles this information.

Overall, this is an episode I will definitely be watching many times in the future. This episode really had it all, with strong performances from everyone and some great, funny writing. I had such a hard time even picking my favorite quotes because there were just too many that I loved! But I was able to narrow it down, so here are my favorite lines from this week.

“So, you’re probably all wondering why I called this family meeting.” - Bonnie
“You have no respect for other people’s time and you like to hear yourself talk?” - Tucker

“Brad and I are getting married. He’s about to become your father, and I want you to start treating him like one.” - Bonnie
“You want us to hit him up for money?” - Danny

“You know what I love most about Mom and Brad getting married?” - Danny
“He’s ten years younger so we’re off the hook for taking care of her when she gets old?” - Ben

“I’m single again, so a night out with the boys is perfect! No stupid girls to distract us.” - Danny
“I think you’re kind of missing the point of this party.” - Brad

“Oh Riley, when we do it, it’s fun and silly. When they do it, it’s perverted.” - Bonnie

“I just figured out what you can get me for a wedding present.” - Bonnie
“I wasn't going to get you a wedding present.” - Ben

“I’m having an argument with my conscience…and he’s down!” - Ben

“So how do you feel about a tea party at the Central Park Boathouse?” - Riley
“A tea party at a boathouse? What am I five?” God, try again!” - Bonnie

“Now that I say it out loud, I think it was a secret.” - Bartender

“24 hour daycare. Now, that’s what I call a family vacation!” - Ben

“We would never make fun of you…Silky.” - Ben

“Oh my God, I’ve turned another one!” - Bonnie

“But Mom, it’s not like we exchanged vows and had a super romantic ceremony.”- Danny
“Actually, you did. I found the video on my phone.” - Ben

What did you think of this episode? How great was Tucker as Silky Dobbs? Are you happy that Danny finally talked to Ben and now everything’s out in the open? Let me know in the comments! Also, if you’re dying for a sneak peek of next week’s finale, look out for a preview that I’ll be posting soon! Thanks of reading and see you next week for the finale!
