Maybe they decided to let Blake and M Night continue with this show. I know it was originally just supposed to cover the three books, but Blake has said that he would be up for writing more for TV if Fox wanted to expand this past the three books.
If they follow the book. If renewed, I suspect many will be pleading(more like begging) with Matt Dillon to sign a new deal. Can't explain because of spoilers.
But it still has a chance of being renewed due to doing rather well for what it is. The term "limited series" and "event series" only applies when stuff isn't doing well enough to be renewed. They called Reign a limited series as well until renewing it
Wayward Pines just strikes me as this Twin Peaks-ish show that should go on a little longer
It's not going to be renewed. People were only hoping for it, but it was only intended as a limited series. And that's not true. This show is doing very well, but the studio said no. Tomorrow is the last episode, then it's over. Remember this series is based off its' book trilogy, they've already covered the trilogy.
Believe me, I wanted a season 2 By the 3rd episode, but they've put their foot down and stuck with their Original plan. So i accepted it.
I know it really sucks. I'm really bummed. It definitely helped me with this hellatus we're all going through (I'm doing really good this summer, but by August, end of, i'll know I'll crack), BUT I'm very excited about tomorrow night.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Now it's the season finale? I don't get you, Fox.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, can't wait to see it.

ReplyDeleteSo it's been cancelled? Not bummed or anything just curious as I haven't been around last week and was without a strong wifi connection
ReplyDeleteThey interviewed the actors with the blood on them...lmao
ReplyDeleteIt was never cancelled, it was always intended to be a 10 episode series event.

ReplyDeleteI've read the books. I heard the ending is the same. I believe that it would come back if they can get the core characters to come back with it.
ReplyDeleteThe episode leaked online. I've just seen it. The ending is very... weird.
ReplyDeleteNot the same. They changed it plus a certain characer died in the series but didn't die in the books.
