The Mindy Project: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Tapped for Trippy Season 4 Premiere
Dr. Lahiri will soon have the best of both worlds.
The Mindy Project has recruited Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) for its Season 4 premiere, BuzzFeed reports.
Inspired by the 1998 film Sliding Doors — in which Gwyneth Paltrow’s character lives out two different scenarios after getting fired from her job — the Mindy Project premiere will find the titular doc living in an alternate reality. There, she is married to Gordon-Levitt’s Matt, a charismatic reality show producer for Bravo. (But what becomes of Danny?!)
In addition to such TV credits as 3rd Rock From the Sun and Numb3rs, Gordon-Levitt also has his own show, Hit Record on TV, airing on Pivot. (Fun fact: Mindy Kaling and Chris Messina guest-starred on the Season 2 premiere.)
The Mindy Project‘s super-sized fourth season will debut on Hulu later this year.

In “It’s A Nice Day for a Wheeler Wedding,” Bonnie’s special day is right around the corner, and she couldn’t be happier, at least until she learns the wedding planner has quit and all of their plans literally went up in smoke. But when Charlotte takes over and everything starts going wrong, Tucker does some digging and discovers that her intentions aren’t totally pure; turns out she has revenge on her mind for a long-ago grievance. 02:30 - American Crime - Season 2 - Role's Revealed
The second season will take place in the Midwest, where the main crimes being tackled involve sexual identity and the disparity in the school systems, creator John Ridley and and exec producerMichael McDonald tell Variety. Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman both play members of the staff of an elite private school.
“I haven’t read anything yet, but I know that the story is going to involve an incident that happens involving students at a high school and a private high school in the same town,” Hutton says. “I’m going to be playing the basketball coach at the private school.”
As for Huffman, she plays the headmistress of the private school.
Hutton adds, “We work at the same place and an incident happens that we both have to put out full attention into. I’m not sure what the dynamic of that relationship is yet. I’m excited to find out more.”
“John [Ridley] said it’s going to be very different than Barb Hanlon, which is great because, although I love Barb, I don’t want to spend another four to five months with her. I’m not sure anybody wants to spend four months with Barb,” Huffman says with a laugh, joking that the next place she wants to see Hanlon is back at the Emmy Awards (which she’ll be attending with her husband, William H. Macy, who is also nominated this year, again for lead actor in a comedy).

tbh Empire was great but tehre are otehr shows that are better than it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Katie Cassidy n the writers that storyline was intense n glad that she won. Her portrayal was realistic n well done.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, she was so dedicated to the story line and lost weight for it in S2 and while I think the writers should have written the story line better, I can't fault Katie for how she portrayed it. I also appreciate how it's always still there, Laurel's addiction and struggle- she can't take pain medication, she still goes to AA meetings.
ReplyDeleteLee Daniels is ridiculous. That man will be Empire's downfall.
ReplyDeleteThere are still future seasons of Empire so not a great idea to be an ass.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha ok.
ReplyDeleteInstead of being happy that Taira got nominated, he acts out like an upset child
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they just let Mike Franks stay dead on NCIS?
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I think Laurel is a great role model when it comes to dealing with mental illness/addiction and showing someone who reached bottom, got the help they needed and while she keeps struggling with it, she's a lot stronger now and driven to justice.
ReplyDeleteThere is a literal meltdown on twitter from Katie's haters about this award.Congrats Katie...forever my fave!π
ReplyDeleteCompletely respectless from Lee daniels. I do not even want to support him by watching empire anymore. He is really childish and I do not understand why Jussie is playing with. They need to grow a pair!
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ it was a friggin' joke.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Muse also direct?
ReplyDeleteWell it was not funny at all!
ReplyDeleteThat's totally besides the point. Everyone is freaking out over nothing. The video clearly wasn't serious. Jussie seemed to think it was funny. And I think the Emmys deserve to be told "eff you" much more often.
ReplyDeleteNot to my knowledge, at least he's never directed any episode of NCIS.
ReplyDeleteYay love those Mindy news!!
