    This series moved from pre-production to actual production in a pace that is pretty unusual. It was like "rumored-picked up-cast-shot-done"

    Pretty damn bad. Not as bad as the adaptation of Beautiful Creatures (which is one of the best YA series in the past decade IMO) but so choppy and messy, badly directed, the scenes didn't flow well either. And most of the time the actors and the direction seems totally rushed like "Okay, we got to get all this story in 2 hours, chop chop!" It was just totally unsatisfying, and towards the end many of the changes they made just took some of the logic out of the story.


    Unless the TV show is just HORRIBLY acted and written (and there's nothing to indicate it will be as of yet) it's almost a sure bet to better than the movie.

    Really?! I liked Beautiful Creatures, I thought the kids acting was ok, I did not like Emma Thompson or Emmy Rossum (but I didn't like Ridley in the books either, so it may not have been her, but my deslike of the character projecting onto her), but everything else was alright. Now, if you're saying it was bad because they took took many creative licencies, and strayed too far from the book and changed much more than necessary, then I understand. But aside from that, it really wasn't bad, I'd say it was a million times better than Twillight but then again everything is, so it would be redundant.

    Really? Is this supposed to be TMI meet GG? This looks too glamorous... and that is something you'll never hear me say, I love glamorous, but it doesn't go with the characters, aside from Isabel of course.
    And I was finally getting exited about this...

    they put a lto of material into the beautiful creatures they rush things tat never happened untill book three if i remember but i hope someone takes it and do a tv show. There is a lot of material there and the new series is really good.

    I'm not so sure about the image of Clary. It's hard not to compare to the movie but the movie did a good job of casting Clary. Clary is not suppose to be gorgeous and sexy like Isabelle. She is suppose to be different than the girls Jace would have been attracted to.
