The Turner-owned cable network has renewed Rizzoli & Isles for a seventh season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Sources tell THR that season seven, set for summer 2016, will consist of 13 episodes — down from its series-high 18 in season six and its lowest order since its 10-episode freshman run. There is currently no talk about season seven being its last.

It says there's no talks about season seven being the final season but kinda sounds like it might be, tbh. And yay about the renewal!
ReplyDelete7 seasons?
ReplyDeleteWell that show sure did make it to a lot of seasons for TNT...if only Leverage did the same :(
when your episode get reduce......you know that it likely a final season
ReplyDeleteVery happy for the renewal but a reduction in episode order is rarely a good thing so....
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the renewal, but it looks like the show might finish in the near future. Either Season 7 or 8??
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's renewed. I don't think Major Crimes is, which makes me sad. MC is doing as well as, and sometimes better than R&I in the ratings, but I don't think it's "edgy" enough for TNT. I hope we get another season out of it.
ReplyDeleteGlad they renewed it/if the reduction is a sign then so be it. Got to say it lasted longer than I thought it would :-)
ReplyDeleteRizzoli and Isles is not exactly edgy either. I think a similar 13 episode renewal for Major Crimes is likely.
ReplyDelete7 seasons is a good run, but I think posters are overreacting a bit about the 13 episode order. 18 episodes is pretty close to a network season, and TNT might want to allocate the 5 fewer episodes towards a new 10 episode series (if they renew Major Crimes for 13 episodes that would save them 10 episodes between the two shows). I think with the lower ratings for cable in general, few shows are going to do more than 16 episode seasons. Also what cable drama has gone past season 8?
ReplyDeleteI love this show
ReplyDeleteyes, thank you TNT! This show gives me joy!
ReplyDeletecool I hope we get full end
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the return , maybe the shorter run is going to keep it to a summer only drama rather than a spilt season.
ReplyDeleteTNT, Thank you very much.
