Keep the poll up until after Saturday - I didn't look at the choices as I don't want to be spoiled. Not even going to click onto the link with the promo for the next week until we get this week's episode in the states.
Apparently non american networks have decided to not change their scheduling to avoid spoilers, since NBC have cancelled the show anyway. They don't want to confuse their audience and IMO they're right.
And to answer to the poll i would pick all the above scenes. This episode was epic, powerful and incredibly well written. On the same level as Savoureux and far better than Mizumono. Best episode from ages and the one wich made me forgive all the flaws of season 3.
really everyone liked that final scene? I thought it made no sense at all. Hannibal being surprised and hurt because Will tried to say goodbye? Dude what did you expect, you put a saw into his head.
That kinda makes sense, except I still think Hannibal is too smart to let his emotions get the better of him. Also it wasn't really an "in-the-moment" slip-up, his talk with will was during the day and Jack's arrival at night, meaning he sat outside Will's house for hours. dunno, Maybe I just expected something more for his arrest.
Hannibal would rather be in custody where Will knows where he his rather than Will having zero interest in his whereabouts. Perfect way to wrap up this chapter of the Hannibal/Will relationship. To call Mads Mikkelsen a great fucking actor would be a HUGE understatement... Those micro-expressions...
I didn't like this episode whatsoever. Everything from the books is ripped appart. Chiyo is useless, Will is useless, there's no surprising plot twist BRYAN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
Best episode of the season and one of the best episodes of the series. The "surrogate" scene was disturbing and dark and one of the most F'ed up scene in this entire series - and that is saying something.
Except the whole point of this show is that Hannibal and Will have both made decisions with emotion taking precedence over logic when it comes to each other.
I think the arrest is supposed to be underwhelming. Like Crawford said, "I didn't catch you, you surrendered". Hannibal only goes to prison if he wants to go to prison. He's not finished yet!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I didn't think this was going to be shown until Saturday. Was it on last night? If not, you need to remove the poll since it gives some things away.
ReplyDeleteIt aired in the old timeslot in Canada, but I think it's only this episode.
ReplyDeletewell the promo at the end of the episode that aired on City (that's canada?) sayd next thursday so maybe they'll stick to the same day.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was available. I'm going to watch today on the internet. I live outside the US anyway

Will is defaced? I thought Cordell was the one who was defaced?
ReplyDeleteSPOILER: That's the twist. Cordell starts cutting his face, next scene we see Mason with Cordell's face on and Hannibal helping Will.
ReplyDeletereally everyone liked that final scene? I thought it made no sense at all. Hannibal being surprised and hurt because Will tried to say goodbye? Dude what did you expect, you put a saw into his head.
ReplyDeleteAll of above. Simply the best episode of the season ( so far)

ReplyDeleteforgot to mention what scene I liked most, it was Will biting into Cordell, then making a statement to Hannibal by spitting it out.
ReplyDeletealso since this is up anyway, can we have the "what did you think off" poll as well?
