Sooo the wolves saved the animal activist?? Okay, so how are they going to get him out that gate? And I like him, the inmate, he ordered fish sticks. Lol I found that funny. Such a simple man. And he apparently has some connection with the animals b/c he could've let that woman die I suppose? Idk that was a bit hazy.
Ok I waited 3 weeks for that "bird scene" only to find out it wasn't birds it was bats, (which is way cooler) and the scene itself was incredibly short. That was disappointing.
Mitch and Jamie made the episode for me. Especially Mitch, I laughed so hard with what he said to the Senator. That was good, I had to rewind that. That was funny. And this Frenchmen, could he remind me of "Mr. Slugworth" more than he already does?? Geez by mid episode all I kept thinking of was "wow he's just collecting everyone with the golden ticket isn't he??" Then when they were in the conference room, I was think all they're missing is "unibrow Chloe", and boom, he mentions her and there she is. The 5 kiddies with the golden ticket. It can only get interesting from here, right? RIGHT? I know this is a new show so it's gonna start a bit slow, but I kinda want them to get moving, just a little.
Next week looks a bit more intense. That baby is so cute. That crow better not touch it!
Holy "Alias", Batman. We had Ken Olin, we had a "47", we had Senator Dixon Vaughn, and hell, we even had Dixon himself. Now if only the show was as wicked good as "Alias".
well, I hoping for major improvement over the problems that I had with the previous eps, and even though the disjointed editing didn't feel as bad this time around, the clunky dialogue and unbelievable scenarios continued to take me out of the ep - notably the "wolf prison break".... really? I might've believed it a bit more if the psycho activist/murderer targeted the widow or even the warden.... but a breakout? right.....I guess it helps where the guards at a "high security" prison are complete idiots and leave all the doors wide open as they run away instead of closing them to keep from being followed by animals without opposable thumbs, and of course this just happens to be a prison where no one has weapons at the ready (like armed guards in towers/ on the perimeter at the very least?) - ridiculous... Oh well, I gave the show a fair sample and tried to get into it as I like the premise, but there are too many things that took me out of the episodes and I think I'm done with it, but I see that there are many who like it and I hope they enjoy the show..
Your second paragraph was dead on. I was terribly upset with that entire jail scene. These morons dont have weapons???? Literally yelling at my tv with that one. like wth kinda prison is that where the gaurds themselves don't have weapons???
This is usually the most i give with a show, 3 episodes and that's it. (thats if it pulls me in with the pilot). With all it's flaws, something about this show is keeping me interested. I believe its only the 3 characters i actually like. (Jackson, Jamie, Mitch), I think i'll give it a few more tries (maybe two more episodes) if it doesn't start to pick up i'll have to drop it myself.
I enjoyed the episode very much. We learned a bit more of the theory of what might be wrong with the animals, the death row inmate is creepy and crazy and is he communicating only with the wolves or the other animals as well? Jackson is still a bit boring to me, but with each episode I love Mitch more and more. I hope he as the skeptic will point out some of the craziness going on. Not sure why the prison guards didn't just shoot the wolves, but it was a breath taking scene so I am willing to overlook it. The preview with the crow on top of the baby's cradle is already giving me nightmares.
Good episode! Hopefully with the five regulars all in one team we can stop jumping around too many locations. I really enjoyed Mitch in this episode. And what is that past of Abraham's? Has that been mentioned before? I don't think so.
Mitch was the best part of the episode. Wolfs breaking someone out of prison.. Okay lets just roll with it. Glad they are finally together the jumping around was getting on my nerves
Having just finished the book make the of scene a bit more understandable for me but in saying that they have diverged frm the book quite a bit. Which I am not really a fan of. I am glad too they are finally all in one place as the jumping around was getting confusing, I am n sure how many epsides season 1 is but they needed to get altogether so we could start to see what the problem
Abe's past hasn't been mentioned yet but I have heard somebody mention in an interview that he has a complicated past so I am sure we will learn more of it soon.
Couldn't they just have done a Skype call with the senator? Though I did like the Christmas bar ! Loooved the episode, and Mitch is my favorite so far !!!!
No kidding. Back in the day I used to settle in on Sunday evenings for back to back "Alias" and "The X-Files". We'll soon have Mulder and Scully back on TV, so what's holding "Alias" back? I would have done that before "Heroes: Reborn" or "Prison Break".
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThe teams finally together.

Oh please with that jail scene! Those 'wolves' couldn't look any happier prancing down the hall after the guards. It was ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteAgreed!

ReplyDeleteI wish Alias would be thought of in all this reboot mania.
