I voted OK, because that's exactly what it was. It wasn't bad but it wasn't "Omg this is so exciting i gotta have more". Definitely not. For a pilot it was alright. So far I only like three people in the cast and that's Jackson, Jamie and Mitch. I really like the male lead, Jackson, he's got a Jack Shepard thing working for him. I'll tune in next week.
Oh, I loved it! I am inspired to read the book now. I also love that my Renfield (Abraham on this show) survived! It is interesting so far, so I will definitely keep tuning in each week.
I know him as Bella's dad (haha) but it was good to see him. I never saw that other show about the electricity failing that he was on. He's a good actor though.
It could have been better. I'm hoping they just had to lay the plot out because the pacing and back and forth was a little irritating. I'm going to keep watching. I loved Mitch.
I enjoyed it. It makes for a great diversion after a hard day. Action, excitement, and a mystery to be solved. I didn't like the flipping back and forth either but I guess they had to introduce all the characters in the first episode, and it was only one hour, so that's ok. ( That bothered me less than the ads for other shows that took up 1/4 of the screen at times. )
Anyone pulling their kid out of camp tomorrow? lol
gave it a weak"ok"....I was intrigued by the premise and still see promise of where it could go, but I was really underwhelmed by this ep overall.... it had a jumpy disjointed feel with some bad editing in spots, clunky writing with the characters not really resonating, clumsy dialogue (ie. the jeep scene with Chloe/Jackson), and some situations/writing that really seemed unbeleivable: ie. the safari camp attack site - apparently 5 male lions approached in single file to hide their numbers, but it would make sense that once inside that they would have to separate to divide and conquer, and thus leave plenty of evidence that there were several lions on the attack, but apparently they've figured out how to mask their tracks and apparently kill bloodlessly which is a huge stretch. I still want to like the show, and will still give it a few more samples, but it will really need to rebound for me as this ep was a bit of a letdown.
Pretty decent for a premiere! Set up the pieces pretty well for what looks like an action packed season. Can't wait until the core 5 actually comes together to solve the "mystery". Really impressed with all 5 of them. I really want to read the book but I don't want to be criticizing anything yet. Here's to good solid ratings tomorrow!
That was an awesome pilot. I'm overhypee from watching that promo/trailer. These animals are going wild and it looks like the effects are even on gonna spread to some humans. Can't wait for the to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.
Pilot was good-ish. I would have liked a double ep though. There are so many questions unanswered which make me look forward to the next episodes. I definatly will watch it! I like Connolly way more in Zoo than in The Whispers.
Billy Burke and James Wolk are the best thing (so far) about this show. Otherwise this did zero to hold my interest. I'll give it another episode or two (if i can). Voted Poor.
I found it very entertaining, as it laid the groundwork for the upcoming eps, I'm in for the ride I like the cast, I like Patterson, I just hope I don't get nervous going to the Zoo:)
I watched it again this morning and I liked it much better the second time around. These animals are insanely smart and I can't wait to see what they do with them. How creepy is it to know you are being stalked by a wild animal who is as smart as any human? That prick who paid 200k to hunt Rhino and had Jackson arrested needs to be next on those Lions list. Abraham cannot die and I absolutely loved Mitch. Billy Burke has really become a favorite of mine and I didn't even realize it. I think it'll find it's stride within a few episodes and up the action and drama.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Happy to have Billy Burke back on TV. Already loving his Mitch character.

ReplyDeleteIt was alright. A little slow at the start but after a while the mystery of it is what kept me watching.
ReplyDeleteCabin in the Woods! I knew I recognised her I just couldn't remember from where.
ReplyDeleteI love that movie. Recognized her right away.

ReplyDeleteA solid episode, nothing wow, yet nothing bad about it. I hope we see some crazy honey badgers later on.

ReplyDeleteRevolution and he was good on that show you should check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather see all those Bad Robotians getting together to work on some original material.

ReplyDeleteIt was okay. Was hoping for more animal attacks but it was enough for the premier. Glad to see Billy back on TV

The plan is for it to run five seasons http://seriable.com/zoo-five-seasons-planned
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it, can't wait for more. I need to re-read the book.
ReplyDeletePretty good start! I'll definitely check it out next week too.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read the book now!
ReplyDeleteI love cats, I do, I have four cats and they are my babies, but that scene ner the end with the domestic cats on the tree was scary as hell.
