OMG!!! Pilcher is such an asshole!!! All that crap about "The people being precious" now he wants to annihilate all of them???? ETHAN SHOULD'VE KILLED HIM LONG TIME AGO!
AND HAROLD!! That was sooo sad. I really liked Harold, and I definitely cried for him. I felt terrible for Kate! Finally Teresa slapped Megan in the face!! I was just waiting for it! I personally would've preferred a punch, but I'll take what I can get. If Teresa KNEW what Megan said to Ben in the hospital I bet she would've punched her then.
Series Finale next week. Noooo!!!! I'm not ready!!! Especially now that everyone knows the truth! I would've been so on board to see how they all would've handled It. I think they would've handled it just fine and THAT'S what Pilcher's problem is. He knows they'll succeed and if they do, he'll no longer be in control. Ugh!! WHAT A DICK!
Finally a good episode again! I was a little disappointed the Abbie threat was taken care of so quickly but the rest of the episode turned out great anyway.
That really pissed me off. I thought they were going to show the tape in front of all the people, then all the lights in the streets go out. BUT then he starts shutting off ALL the power in Town??? I really hope Pam steps up and does something!!
Terrific episode. We finally got to see the result of Megan's training when the kids took over and shot up the place. I hope Ben learns to respect his father again, despite what he's been taught. I really have warmed to these one-season shows, like this and Fargo, that wrap things up nicely and don't drag on for years.
Actually I kinda felt its the way things would go. I think Pilcher has just realised that people cannot be controlled. He tried it one way by telling everyone the first time and some people couldnt handle it and destroyed everything he has built. And now he has done his 'best' to contain the influences of Ethan and others (not a good idea to send Secret Service agents to such an experiment) and even that isnt working to save his 'ark'. So he has decided that Humans arnt capable of surviving in the future and that we should 'naturally' all die off. Hes probably hoping the Abbies again evolve to become more like humans again somewhere down the track.
Omg that "ILY" My eyes teared so quickly! (And Booo, now my questions about their relationship last week will never be answered) I've liked Harold since the beginning. Ughh. My heart's broken just thinking about it.
I really wanted it to be confirmed that there would be a seasOn 2 Before next week, but doesn't look likely. Sigh.
Actually it WAS working. That's why Pilcher felt threatened and turned everything off. Everyone started listening to Ethan and Kate, then even the people in the group were speaking out, about how they've seen what's really out there. Ethan was going to tell them that they are STRONGER than Pilcher, and if they worked together, they could actually survive DESPITE what happened before Ethan came. Ethan was going to tell them everything, and Pilcher decided, "if they won't listen to me, then everyone dies."
Group A failed due to total truth disclosure and died out. But Pilcher has many more humans in stock err suspended animation. So, Group B was woken up. This time Pilcher went with the other extreme of not telling anything and ruling with an iron grip. Looks like Group B will also fail. But will Pilcher learn from this? I don't think he cares. He must already have Group C lined up.
Thank you. It would be sad, but I think if this whole thing stated with Ethan it should end with him. And Pilcher getting killed by what he created. I think it would all be poetic.
The humans are already goners b/c of Pilchers actions. IDT they have enough weapons, half (if not all) of the town will be gone next week. There's way too many Abbies.
I can't stress how worried I am for next week. LoL I really do wish there was a season 2. Then again, I couldn't watch it w/o Matt Dillion. I didn't like that whole "we may have a season. 2 But with a completely different cast" No. Sorry.
I literally cheered when Theresa slapped the teacher. I hate that manipulative bitch with a vengeance. Of course she would target the children, since they tend to see things in black and white. And if you don't teach them shades of grey they turn into psychopaths like Jason. Scary.
Awesome episode. How can there be just one more? David Pilcher is insane! And I loved watching the teacher get schooled!. Scary to see how she was able to manipulate the children so effectively. It's too bad the series is ending, because I could think of a lot of ways that they could extend the story beyond the books. I find it hard to believe that they would really be the only town of humans left. However, I also have a hard time believing that an expert-hunting species like the Abbies would evolve out of a society where those kinds of skills are no longer necessary, or that a species at the top of the food chain would be able to survive by outnumbering their food source (we don't even see that many animals around), but I guess that's where the suspension of disbelief comes in!
Nice episode. Can't wait for next ep. I'm happy that Ethan, Thersa and Kate are all singing from the same hymn-sheet now. I can't imagine the show ending well, though.
My theory about WP being a massive-scale version of The Village seems to have been quashed by these Hessler videos which seem to show that the rest of the country (and world, I guess) are in the same boat. So if we really are to believe that WP really is all that's left, then I can see only one way it can end. Everyone dies, except one person, possibly Pilcher or maybe someone new, who will defrost some of the human supplies and try again from square one. But there won't be a need for season two because we've already seen what invariably going to happen. I guess that's why next episode is called 'Cycle.'
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Pilcher, you f*cking c*unt!! Why do such a horrific thing? Why?
ReplyDeleteGreat episode. Looking forward to the finale.
OMG!!! Pilcher is such an asshole!!! All that crap about "The people being precious" now he wants to annihilate all of them???? ETHAN SHOULD'VE KILLED HIM LONG TIME AGO!
ReplyDeleteAND HAROLD!! That was sooo sad. I really liked Harold, and I definitely cried for him. I felt terrible for Kate! Finally Teresa slapped Megan in the face!! I was just waiting for it! Fantastic episode! Best one yet! Makes me so sad that next week is the season finale. LOVE this show! :)
ReplyDeleteHe wants to play God. But acts like a spoiled brat when things don't go his way.
ReplyDeleteFinally a good episode again! I was a little disappointed the Abbie threat was taken care of so quickly but the rest of the episode turned out great anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat really pissed me off. I thought they were going to show the tape in front of all the people, then all the lights in the streets go out. BUT then he starts shutting off ALL the power in Town??? I really hope Pam steps up and does something!!
ReplyDeleteSeries. = (
ReplyDeleteNow there's an idea. It ends up with Pam killing her brother. I wouldn't mind that.
ReplyDeleteTerrific episode. We finally got to see the result of Megan's training when the kids took over and shot up the place. I hope Ben learns to respect his father again, despite what he's been taught. I really have warmed to these one-season shows, like this and Fargo, that wrap things up nicely and don't drag on for years.
ReplyDeleteI felt so sorry for Harold, when he mouthed 'I Love You' to Kate, my heart broke :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready either, I love this show.
DIE DAVID F***ing PILCHER!!! I hope the Abbies get him.
I've been wanting her to do it for about 3 weeks now. Lol. Either her or Ethan.
ReplyDeleteActually I kinda felt its the way things would go. I think Pilcher has just realised that people cannot be controlled. Did you scenario on how i want it to end?
Mine too :( It was so heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteMe too, it sucks. I was holding out hope for Season 2.
"Did you scenario on how i want it to end?"
Sorry, the last part, did you mean is that how I thought it would end? I'm a little confused.
Actually it WAS working. That's why Pilcher felt threatened and turned everything off. ReplyDeleteSorry, I edited it. I meant did you READ my scenario. Lol I left it in the promo section.
ReplyDeleteYeah I did, it's actually a really good one :) It would be so heartbreaking though but its definitely plausible.
ReplyDeleteSucks though, then the human 'homosapien' species would be over :(
Next week can't come soon enough!

Your first sentence, I completely agree, it's incredibly poetic and really would leave a impression.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree, there also quite fast too.

ReplyDeleteReed Diamond was the reason I started watching this show as I have always loved him.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen him here and there, I don't follow him much. But I really liked his character here.
ReplyDeleteNever watched those. (Didn't care for F&B). His been in my show Bones, Spider-Man 2, and Swat. That's how I know him.
ReplyDeleteThat was AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteNice episode. Can't wait for next ep. I'm happy that Ethan, Thersa and Kate are all singing from the same hymn-sheet now. I can't imagine the show ending well, though.
