I enjoyed it. Seems like it was just the premiere was a letdown. I'm still confused though since when is the dome evil? Like what happened to the whole Julia is the monarch thing and why did it take the dome so long to start it's plan? Barbie needs to go back being barbie ASAP.
I have a feeling Christine isn't really working for the egg. clearly she's some kind of alien, but you can see her alien form in the video when she first touched the egg so I guess that means she was alien all along even back when she was looking for the egg with Ava.
To me it looked like the egg vaporised her, then I just assumed one of the aliens responsible for the Dome was impersonating her. But I guess it's possible there could be other aliens with other plans.
Not yet but they're definitely leading up to it, he'll probably snap out of it just in time or something. Not that it would really count anyway since he isn't himself.
That was a lot of hooking up and potential hooking up. lol I am glad that Nora is back to her old self and back with Joe. Now can we get Barbie back to his old self and leading the pack once again? Maybe next week something profound will happen that will snap him out of it. I'm thinking he'll witness something that is ether off, ie the tall tell signs in the alternate world (JR's sudden resurrection and all extra dudes binging one and the same). I just can't see them keeping Barbie brainwashed for long as he is the hero ( or anti-hero ) and it wouldn't be right for said hero to not catch on that something is wonky (even more so then normal) because then he wouldn't be much of a hero would he?
How many eggs are there anyway? I thought there was only one, but Kristen makes it sound like there where a bunch but most are/where broken. So that bags the questions is the egg that zapped her the same egg that we have been following the whole time or is it a different one? That is really the only thing that baffles me at the moment. lol
Lol everything was fine i was enjoying the distance between Julia and Barbie but that fight was really bad and overacted. I dunno who was worst Julia's yelling or Barbie going crazy on the wall. And that guy Peter seems like he is not un Christine's control
I would say that Julia yelling was worse then Barbie hitting the wall. She says she understands what he's going through and that she'll stick by him while he figures everything out but then goes all green eyed monster. Which shows that she doesn't understand, and does not trust him. I might have hit the wall too if I were him the way she was going off.
Never been a real big fan of Julia's from the beginning. She tends to get this "I'm better and smarter then everybody else" mentality, which tends to piss me off. She thinks she's hot stuff because she was the Monarch, but she's really not. The only thing that she had going for her was/is Barbie. I wouldn't miss her if they decided to off that character.
i hate what they are doing to barbie's character. I mean, I know he is under some kind of the cocoons influence, but I feel bad for Julia. surprisingly, I also feel bad for Eva, she meant no harm and she's clearly hurt.
that's why this show is ridiculous. the dome has been there for what, 3 weeks, and it clearly feels like way, way longer. i.e., how long has it been in the show since rebecca died, 3 days? feels like ages ago though, nobody even mentions her. or linda? who even remembers linda at all? barbie's and julia's bond seems so strong, but it's been 3 weeks since he murdered her husband (correct me if I'm wrong)! it's been what, 2 weeks since Norrie's mother died? yet Joe is the only one who seem to still be grieving - over Angie. not to even mention the way Norrie or Joe have changed and grown up since the beginning of the show. and maybe it was a smart move to add this additional year to their lives, since it explains some of the above, but it does not explain Junior's new haircut etc. or how is it possible that suddenly everybody is homeless? I mean, yeah, some of the houses have been destroyed, but I'm guessing not all of them? and this lack of food crysis.. I feel if I needed, I could get by for 2 months with the food I have at home. people do keep stocks. and they ate it all in 3 weeks?
I never really liked Julia, but I'm totally on her side during this scene. She gave Barbie all the freedom he needed/wanted, but not coming home the whole night and lying about where he has been afterwards are not aceptable. He could have told her that he was with Eva but nothing happend and I guess Julia would have been fine or at least not pissed. But without honesty what do they have left in their relationship?
The timeline is one of the things that bothers me the most in the show. All these strong bonds between the characters? Not possible to have in two weeks, even in that situation they're in. I don't get why they made each season just a couple of days - it doesn't feel like this while watching and it is not good for the storytelling... Besides this I always get a good laugh everytime I hear "After three weeks under the dome..." - it is just ridiculous
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIs that wishful thinking or is Barbie faithful to Julia and Barbie's all "cocooned" Kool-Aid style?

ReplyDeleteLike Barbie better with the fake girlfriend... Something about Julia that I can't stand.
ReplyDeleteThat was an unbelievably bad episode.
