    That raid scene was very well done and intense. Sure it wasn't like the one tracking shot from season 1 but they didn't really need to repeat it. Loved everything else too. Everyone is getting closer connected.

    I noticed too that I am getting same reaction that I got to season 1. Each episode got better and once episode 4 hit, I was hooked. Same here.

    Very intense final sequence. I also really liked the Paul-Ray conversation earlier in the car; nice moment for the two of them.

    Was glued to the screen watching the raid and shootout. Very intense. Looking forward to the second half especially after this!

    I like the show so much. About the raid scene well it was intense but I get a feeling that it was too much, I mean a bit exaggerated. You would say it's television but I'm always skeptical when it comes to the shooting scenes. I need them to be as much realistic as possible to be sold to them and to feel that edge. And while she was chasing the car she was exposed and they barely fired at her. What do you think?

    Groovy episode. I'm loving this season but is there really only 8 episodes for this season? I thought there would've been ten like the first season.

    I like this season more than the first one, the cast and the character interaction is grea dont get t. I dont really understand why we need their personal life story, I would like it if there were more than 8 episodes this season. With only 8 episodes those personal stories will not be explored enough imo, just 8 epiodes (4 left) and three characters...


    I really Woodrughh gay story, I thought it was something else than just I-am-a-gay-but-I-cant-accept-it thing. In one of the previous episodes his mother behaved strangely, touhing him in a really odd way, talking how strong he was, I thought it some dark backstory, but it seems it's just a story of a grown up man who cant accept his sexuality. I get it, even though its 2015 there are still people with issues like this, but still a bi of a let down.


    Bezzerides and her family history, seems like a big thing and not enough time to show all this, and she seems to have some sexual problem herself, sex addict maybe? In one of the perevious episodes she couldnt stop watching some porn websites.


    Velcoro's story has been explored the most so far. I feel like t, maybe here gonna be some twist to who raped his wife, have a feeling it was all Semyon doing, not the rape itself but I feel he paid somebody to do it to get to Velcoro.


    With so many backstories and so few time to show them I have a feeling they serve a filler purpose this season.

    So I got thinking about this contaminated land/water. I thought of oil and also maybe long term destruction from mining gold from the gold rush?!?...I ended up finding some interesting legends from the Gold Rush...

    Don't know if this whole thing is in parallel to "old times", but considering the theme of past lives and history may repeat itself concept, I thought I would put it out there. Also Native Americans wer forced out and Ray is at least part Native American and was said by Ani's dad to have a big black Ora/many lives...

    Am I the only one that gets a hunch Ana Bezzerides father is the killer? He has a connection to the victim and some, he has connections to other people who died ala the mayor's wife. He's the leader of a cult that has likely has some kind of agenda, probably environmental wise. Not to mention the actor, David Morse, who has played some memorable villians throughout his career. All signs point to him

    Definitely a lot of connections to the man - too many to be ignored!
    Although he may be a red herring... Last year we had a group of suspects and it turned out to be a character we barely had met prior to the final two episodes. Elliot Bezzerides feels a bit too obvious for now.... Maybe it's just my skepticism of anything to obvious on shows?

    I finally decided to catch up after the premiere...
    I am loving this season as much as the first despite its very different vibe.

    The opening credits and the recurring overhead establishing shots of the freeway system remind me of a vascular system. The city feels like an entity with cars pulsing on the freeways like blood through veins, the drumbeats throbbing like a heart beat... It's all very much like the city itself is a living character.

    As the show gets deeper into the characters I find myself liking them more than I initially thought I would. At first they felt a bit too obvious, but as their personalities and histories are fleshed out I'm seeing the nuance and depth.

    I strongly feel that any person that comes in contact with any of the lead characters needs to run away! Run fast and run far! They are all so broken beyond repair. You know the cast is made up of a lot of messed up characters when Detective Dixon (W Earl Brown) the alcoholic dirty cop might have been the closest thing to a decent human being on the show! XD
    I kid, but still...

    Wow!
    That last 10 minutes was insanely intense!
