  1. Whoa, that was intense. Another Kanima! Poor Tracy.

But no to Papa Stilinski and Lydia's mom. They're only putting them together because Susan and Linden are married but it's supposed to be Mama McCall/Papa Stilinski. They need to fall in love, get married, and have a surprise baby spoiled rotten by her big brothers.

  2. Awesome ep! This was great. Loved it. Kira turning fox was great. Malia fighting Kanima Tracy was great. Just loved the ep all around.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yeah, I was surprised it was Lydia's mom and not Scott's mom. It just came out of nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Amazing episode Kira turning fox was great another Kanima oh no Tracy no to Stiles dad and Lydia mom it suppose to be Scott mom and Stiles dad

    ReplyDelete
  5. Just from the sheer Female Butt Kicking Power alone, this episode was awesome. Let's do this again Teen Wolf. Soon.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Something is defiantly up with Kira's powers! I don't think I'm going to like her storyline this season.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This has been the best start to a season in long time. So is the Hispanic girl that's holding a grudge against the younger lacrosse player going to turn now that she's been scratched by a kanima? How does that work?

    ReplyDelete
  8. You've got to have some wrong matches before you get to the right matches. The thing I liked about this date gone wrong is that it brings Lydia's mom into the fold a bit more.

Argent, Papa Stilinski and Mama McCall have pretty much holding down the for in the parental department.

Natalie Martin on the other hand has been mostly kept to the margins. And then we generally only see Mr. Martin when some crazy paranormal nightmare lands Lydia in the ICU.

  9. K that was so intense and scary. Thx Teen Wolf 4 the mini heart attack.

    ReplyDelete
  10. She's immune and seemed to heal. Which means she's something.

    ReplyDelete
  11. This episode and season is awesome. From the return of animas (gonna miss Tracy) to Kira being and utter badass and amputating Tracy's tail to Malia both kicking her ass, and sparing Tracy. Nice to see her really one far and accepted that whole don't kill rule.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Can't wait to find out what she is.

    ReplyDelete
  13. How is it supposed to be? There's never been any romantic feeling between them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. There is a huge part of my brain that's still trying to puzzle what I just watched. One thing I do know is whoever did the fight choreography tonight needs to stay around. Kira was fighting smarter (and she Kitsune'd out!) Malia was awesome. And she decided not to kill. I knew the guy who threatened Stilinski in the series premiere would be back. Was a little surprised to see Satomi's blond werewolf back. (sorry I can't remember his name) Mason was both funny and annoying. :-)

The Doctors just became a serious season villain. They destroyed Tracey...then threw her away.

I will likely add more after I've watched again.

  15. fyi... it's Kanima.

    ReplyDelete
  16. LOL.... Here's how I look at it. Lydia's mom is Papa Stilinski's training girlfriend. He'll polish his dating skills so that when he does start dating Melissa she'll be the last woman he ever dates.

  17. Who decided these 3 scientist guys in these crazy suits, they are similar to the villains last season and they are wack and ridiculous.
They need supernatural enemies like other Wolves, Witches, Warlocks or Vampires.
The show can do a lot better

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dude I changed it. Don't need a correction. But thanks I guess. If you mean the plural it's a race.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I must have seen it before you changed it. no worries.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Really gotta disagree there bud. The suits are a cool steampunk meets plague wear meets Nazi scientists. Plus the effective combination of science and magic and the fact that they can bend the laws of the supernatural and create kanimas, wolves and new creatures that alone can dominate the pack shows how utterly effective they are. And they're ruthlessness really helps to their threat level. We know nothing about them yet and already they're huge threats possibly more than the Alpha, the Kanima and Gerard, the Alpha Pack, the Darach and the Benefactor. And it's new and fresh which is always good. How are they similar to last season? The last antagonists were assassins and a banshee and a were jaguar. These are doctors who can bend science and the supernatural with no known similar motivation, look or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I guess the flash-forward to Eichen will happen sooner than I thought considering by that time Lydia's kanima wound had not yet completely healed.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They seem like they're from WWII. They don't seem like they're from our time at all. Maybe they can time travel. They're definitely weird and creepy. Can't wait to find out the backstory on them.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree. There is something really creepy and just "what the heck is going on" kind of vibe about the doctors or evil ancientest. They are clearly strong and keep taking people down, they creep into people's nightmares (mainly Tracey's so far) and you just don't know when they will pop up. There doesn't seem to be people or supernatural beings off limits to their craziness and I like it. I want to know the history or the deal going on here with them which is good compared to some villains where you are like okay, I get it, yawn who is up next now. When does this villain and a new one arrives. Also loved the return of the Kanima added into the mix of the scientests, the wolf pack and everything else going on. The Kanima were always kind of freaky and their paralysis power could do a lot of damage if no one can save the person who is paralysed at the time if an enemy comes upon them.

  24. Actually enjoying Malia's transformation and getting a little girl time with all the chicks kicking butt and just hanging out. Worried about the state of Stiles/Scott though they seem tense. And I am worried that Stiles investigating this desert wolf thing might be what winds him up in trouble and the car accident. I worry he is getting to close to things both on that front and the Theo front and it's going to hurt him. Also worried of course to about Lydia and how she ends up where she is too in the future.

Not surprised about the Stilinski date you don't think the writers are going to give the fans what they want quite yet do you? They have to drag out the Stilinski/Melissa thing for as long as they can. Glad to see he seems to be moving on from his wife though and getting out there. Can't wait to see the episode coming up where we get to actually see Claudia in a flash back and how bad she was in the end of her illness. Poor little stiles and his dad. I have a lot hope for that scene and that episode because I love their relationship of father and son.

Still don't trust Theo just because he helped them out at the vet clinic. I think he is trying to look like Mr. Friendly and helpful to look good. He is clearly hiding something and if he isn't then I would be really disappointed in the writers.

  25. Unbelievable episode, WOW!!!!!!!!! That episode was awesome Tracy, that other guy, the whole mystery guys everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Linden and Susan are married?! Cool! It's kind of like Michael Emerson and his wife on POI

    ReplyDelete
  27. WHY DIDN'T THEY GIVE WOLF WATCH?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aw!!!! I wanted Tracy to live, she didn't deserve any of this!!!! I can't believe she was a Kanima, someone like her deserved to be something beautiful not monstrous.

    ReplyDelete
  28. That's what it meant?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I guess they weren't playing around with it being more gory.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah see that's what i wanted, the fox going straight into the fight, not waving her weapons around, still don't like her obviously. His name's Brett, "training girlfriend" is mean LOL but i get it. God Tracy was an innocent person, she had a father that loved her and these BASTARDS destroyed that and her.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The suits are homages to various doctors, the Nazis, the Plague Doctors mainly. Davis never wants vampires on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Whoa! That's what that wound is! Remember besides from being a Banshee, she doesn't have enhanced healing, she may have visions and a powerful scream, but overall she 's just as human as the adults.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Theo is a freaking sociopath, so there's your answer LOL, The Dread Doctors created an artificial Kanima, she wasn't supernatural so i think unfortunately she's gone.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Is Derek gonna be in any episodes soon...?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe a love triangle and that's why Mamma McCall slaps him in Lydia's future memories?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Crazy idea just occured to me. Have we seen Theo and the Dread Doctors at the same time? Could he be one of them? I doubt it, but anythings possible, right?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not in this first half, Davis is hoping to have BOTH Derek and Argent back for the second half. But they're not going to appear in this first half at all..

    ReplyDelete
  38. This season is better than last season. But I still miss Derek and Allison.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Whoa crazy thought! No we haven't, Liam found another hole, so Theo may have buried Donovan in that new hole and Tracy on the one with her necklace. So maybe he's agent of theirs, bringing them subjects for them to test for something.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nice. I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Really...? Okay, thank you for the info.

  42. disqus_WiAN9M6WLKJuly 7, 2015 at 1:47 PM

Why isn't Lydia's mom a banshee? Or is she?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well Derek will probably appear in 5B. Allison don't know it she'll ever return but something's up, she was at paleyfest last year.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So glad vampires aren't coming.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's on Lydia's dad side, the same dad who hasn't been seen since Season 2....in Atlanta.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well they did get divorced I believe. So if he's the rich asshole type makes sense. But lol.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I actually did a background check on who played him last season when the show was exploring Lydia's banshee heritage. Turns out the actor preferred to work in the East Coast since he's from there although he was previously bicoastal.

Although I don't see the harm of recasting.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah, I know Derek will be returning in 5B. I found out about it recently.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't think she's immune - I took the fast healing to mean she was infected.

I'm proud of Malia for trying to help Tracy instead of just killing her.

    ReplyDelete
  51. When Theo is hammering his pretend father at the end of 5.02, you can hear the buzzing that's always around the steampunk scientists so for me, he's definitely involved with them. Not sure to what capacity though.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I liked having the girls bonding, it was nice. That whole car driving scene was hilarious. One thing that keeps bothering me is the fact that whenever Malia gets in a car, she has these little PTSD/ anxiety attacks and I feel like if she was in the car with Stiles when that crash happens...doesn't that mean she will be freaking out over being in another crash like when she killed her mother and sister. I feel like they are trying to foreshadow or something. But I love Malia's development, I think Shelley is doing a great job with her.

The whole Papa Stilinski/Lydia's mom threw me off like it did all people, but I guess it is what it is.

Even though Kira Kitstune'd out....I still feel like all her fighting looks like she is just swinging her sword around and not actually coming to blows with anyone.

Seeing a kanima again was cool, and reminded me of Jackson. It sucks though because Malia went through all that trouble to NOT kill her and then the doctors ended up killing her anyway. Btw, what is up with The Doctors? Do they want to kill Scott and his pack or not? Because they could have easily taken Malia and turned her into whatever experiment they wanted and released her on The Team. Is Malia safe from them? Or are they just not interested in her? I want to know their motive.

That one chick totally has something going on with her if she is healing from a kanima wound. Sketchy...she's not the only one, Theo is still sketchy.

    Loved seeing Deacon again.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Great epsiode! Just a theory, but do you guys also think that bc Tracy was made a kanima by science she was able to cross /break the mountain ash line? If that is the case someone (the doctors) are really trying to change the rules for the supernatural beings created by nature. Maybe they created Werewolf Theon to steal and use Scotts True Alpha Power...

    ReplyDelete
  54. hate product placement and whole scenes created just to show them...the car scene.

    ReplyDelete
  55. What?! Wow nice ear, you're sure?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Huh you're right, Tracy WAS an ARTIFICIAL Kanima so maybe you're right, now Theo also being an artificial were is interesting. Which makes him all the more dangerous, maybe that could explain why he can shift into a full wolf, nice brain you LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The fox still sucks even if finally she went straight into a fight, she still can't fight, Malia needs to tell Stiles she still has PTSD. Maybe we're thinking small with the Dread Doctors, maybe they want more with Scott and his Pack than to just kill them, they're going through a hell of a lot of trouble of creating Weres and then killing them when they're "terminal".

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks! :D But i guess we have to wait and see bc Teen Wolf is never easy to figure out.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Never is is it? LOL, speaking of Tracy: was her eyes not being turned blue after what she did to her father have been a clue to her not being a werewolf because Kanima's eyes don't turn blue after killing someone?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Huh i thought it was pretty preserved for a product placement scene but you're right, i get shows need to do that but sometimes it distracts from the show.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Malia is so bloodthirsty and brave. I just love her. It was really fun to watch the 3 of them together, even if they were crazy to let Malia drive.
I'm scared to say it but I am really loving these first few episodes and if we get Argent and Derek in 5b? This might turn out to be better than I ever hoped for after last season.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh yah "Deaton"...idk why it autocorrected to Deacon. I'll change that.

Yah, they really are going through a lot of trouble. Maybe they just really like to experiment...

Is her name Hayden? I thought it was weird. Hopefully she doesn't turn out to be something the team has to kill.

    ReplyDelete
  63. It's fine, i get that LOL, they ARE scientists but they maybe they want a Frankenstein? Yeah her name's Hayden and definitely hope not, we already lost Tracy i hope we don't have to lose her either.

    ReplyDelete
  64. But Malia tried to save her

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm not sure what that has to do with my post?

    ReplyDelete
  66. You made her sound like Peter or the Desert Wolf

    ReplyDelete
  67. Malia is really the only new kid who has ever completely worked for me on this show. I adore her character and how complicated she is. Not sure why her dad gave her a new car to begin with if this is how she drives. She's more of a menace to the road than Stiles and his 17 speeding tickets are. Also Lydia is way too smart to put her life in danger that way.

I am cautiously ecstatic about season 5 because it has been a great start. 5.02 was a little slow for me, but the premiere and this one rocked! If this is even an every other episode kind of thing, I'm going to be very happy. Already we've had 2 episodes that were better than anything season 4 brought us.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wait are you saying lydia's messing with her on purpose? We've seen the visions Malia has had in these episodes and they're matching with her family's car accident. I'm sorry but it's pretty evident that it's a memory of when she first shifted into a werecoyote and then a full coyote.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Whoa that's a hell of a clue! I just heard it and it's not as pronounced as when the Dread Doctors appear actually.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Haha, that would make Lydia the greatest troll ever XD

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ha! I wouldn't want to tick her off once she takes full control of her banshee powers. Right now I think it's unconscious.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I didn't overlook it because my logical brain doesn't allow me to do that but I ended up more terrified for Lydia's life than anything else. My logical brain also wonders how if Malia couldn't drive straight on an open road, how in the world did she manuever downtown but that's another story.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I do NOT remember Mr. Martin one bit, when did they show him?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Wowee that's a hell of a theory! Maybe lydia's amplifying Scott's naivete?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hey now i know what "troll" and i can agree! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  76. I GUESS i understand, i want the fox ripped into a million little poises BEGGING for death but wow okay.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Bwaaaahhhh! That would be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Ok episode, but the inconsistancy still pisses me off each week.

Wth did the Theo want to help with? Malia already had a head start. Was it for some new enemy they don't even know about? If so it was too soon to offer help.

    ReplyDelete
  79. OK but they still wack to me, just get rid of the suits if they're that tuff they can do with out them

    ReplyDelete
  80. I've watched supernatural shows over the yr's and never saw scientist turn a human on the spot no magic but a shot in the neck or drilled in the head with some object is corny. Scientist don't use magic they experiment with liquid formulas. If they do magic than they're witches. See Davis is being stubborn if you notice
no vamps that's there natural enemy
no witches or warlocks the first I heard of a banshee and they suck in comparisons.
    I see what he's doing
poor Lydia should be a plain ol' witch cut the screaming.
    Everything else is cool.

    ReplyDelete
  81. He was in 2 episodes I believe. He was at Lydia's parent teacher conference in the fifth episode. He was also at the hospital the day Lydia started screaming in the shower and then disappeared into the woods for 3 days in the season 2 premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Scott is far too naive this season for someone who has been through as much as he has.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think he was just trying to ingratiate himself with Scott so he can manipulate Scott into letting him into his pack. The whole goal is still to steal Scott's true alpha powers. By pretending to be helpful, he makes Stiles' arguments against him less powerful by making himself look less suspicious.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I see that, but it was still to early. That time could of been used at the police station.

    ReplyDelete
  85. A) Dude there are so many corny things in Teen Wolf, and in the genre in general.
    B) Scientists experiment with science. So physics, biology, chemistry. Those involve formulas, and these doctors use science and some magic to create werewolves or other beings. Like with the injection they gave Tracy to modify her DNA.
    C) Dude this isn't TVD. The whole natural enemy thing is a creation of a few franchises (seriously lore for werewolves and vampires varies hugely), there's no such thing as a strict guideline for supernatural creatures. And the Druids are the closest to witches and warlocks not banshees. Both of which are real mythological beings.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yes,i agree. I don't think killing changes the colour of a Kanimas eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh right! Now i remember, i didn't even think they were divorced.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah s that should've been a hint even if she was an artificial Were.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Theo can't steal Scott's powers

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm not sure about that. When Scott asked him the question, Deaton wasn't sure if that was still true either.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Right, the rules aren't as frigid anymore, but Scott's still not a normal werewolf.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I totally disagree there was no magic performed by these guys
D] Dude stop it, all franchises that have wolves involve vamps and witches but TW.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Maybe they don't use magic, but the process hasn't been fully shown so we can't rule it out based on what's been said. Really so The Wolfman (one of the earliest werewolf movies) doesn't count?
The Curse of the Werewolf. The American Wolves series. The original Teen Wolf movies. The Howling film series. The Werewolf original and remake. Lycanthrope and so many other films. None of those feature vampires or witches.
