I didn't like it as much as the previous episodes but it was setting up the rest of this half season. Finally, they've all seen the DD, I think Parrish is a Phoenix (thanks to Twitter) and Theotis needs to die. I will never not love Stiles and creepy Donovan is going to die a slow, painful death for putting hands on him.
Awesome! I just wish we'd gotten to know Scorpion more before they axed him. Was Parrish resurrecting him, or just feeding him to the nemiton? That's what I was confused with. Is he doing that with everyone who dies?
I thought the timeline of Parish and Lydia together at the beginning was confusing.
My theory: Tracy was supernatural with the ability to make her night terrors come true. She was reading the book about the Dread Doctors and she made them become real in the real world. They didn't vanish when she died.
This episode was great!!! I KNEW I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THEO!!!!!!!! I knew he worked for them!!!!!! I feel so bad for Malia, she saved someone only for them to die in front of them, CHIMERA!!! I loved hearing that. SCOTT was supposed to be the one to take out the werescorpion, not Liam!!!! STILES!!!!!!! That was crazy, seeing a mouth of claws on his hand was CRAZY!!!!!!
I'm glad that we are getting closer and closer to finally finding out what Parrish really is, looks to be a pyro-supernatural of some sort. That last scene with him carrying Lucas to the Nemeton definitely brought up my suspicions that he may be working with the Dread Doctors and not realize it because he's "dreaming". Could it be that the Doctors are not actually real and are in everyone's head and that's how Lydia ended up at Eichen House? Because she was going crazy about something that wasn't actually there the whole time? It's a bit of a stretch but it would be insane if it was actually true (just another day in the supernatural world of Beacon Hills). And yay to Parrish helping out Lydia be a badass ninja fighter!
Kira going full on Kitsune mode on Lucas was so awesome. But looks like whenever she uses her powers, it turns her more into a killer and less of the characteristics of Kira that we all know and love. Her powers may be overpowering her more so than we thought. Anyways, I continue to love the super cool special effects on her.
My suspicions about Theo were right. Theo is not to be trusted whatsoever. Is he aligned with the Dread Doctors or does he have a bigger goal in mind? Oh and screw him for telling Donovan to go after someone that Papa Stilinski loves to cause him soul crushing emotional pain. Super evil! Noooo Stiles!! WTH did Donovan do to him? What type of chimera is he? Is this what causes the rift between Scott and Stiles' brotherly friendship? Will he infect him and change his personality? So. many. questions.
Really great that we got some more about the Dread Doctors from Deaton. So they're creating chimeras from creatures that didn't have supernatural means and making them supernatural. But what's the purpose of creating these chimeras and releasing them onto Beacon Hills? Can't wait to learn more about them now that Malia got that book. There's definitely more to them than meets the eye.
Also apparently it gives Kira automatic fluent unconscious knowledge of Japanese. Which is awesome. And like ruthless killer part makes sense. She's a fox spirit whose name means killer.
Awesome episode!!!!! I never thought that Theo would be that big of a part in the whole doctor thing. This new threat is getting very interesting. And i have to say the show keeps getting better and better.
As for the Deputy i think that he is some kind of protector of the balance, making sure that what ever is being made unnaturally is being burned and destroyed so it doesn't hurt the balance and the Nemeton is controlling him to do it.
if the doctors are "making" creatures and have said that those who "failed" were of "terminal condition" and didn't claim the bodies why would they use Parrish to rez them or use Parrish to do anything with them? they are clearly more interested in the "science" of it then the supernatural. i.e. why not graph a werewolf etc... why take only humans then?
I think whatever Parrish is doing it is of his own accord and may be part of his nature, that he consciously has not figured out. (only in the dream state)
Yeah i know, but it seems like she has a LITERAL fox entity in her, wanting to come out. In that scene she spoke Japanese and she had that weird staticky thing happen to her face, so something's not normal with her. You have to remember she doesn't shift so maybe it's different with her kind.
Cool, i just don't get how it's possible, the Docs have to have some kind of supernatural "glue" as it were to be able to put different parts of Weres on their "patients" and make them work. It can't be just science, and they're not definitely not human, they unlocked that pad without even touching it.
I don't think he's a Wendigo unless they change the lore of the creature. In almost all versions, the two constants are their coldness and/or heart of ice and their speed.
"a mythical being, especially a lizard or other reptile, thought to be able to live in fire." Myths- They can create or put out fire. Sometimes they are the fire.
I like your Tracy theory, but it seemed to me like the were definitively telling us the Doctors are turning NON-supernaturals into supernaturals. But I think your theory would make a great creature in like season 6.
STILES AND LYDIA <3! She's his anchor! She was bleeding and sweatin but she was able to crack a smile for Stiles so he could calm down and go, if that's not a mfcking OTP I don't know what it is! Stiles was paralyzed when he saw Lydia like that. Like he told her seasons ago, he wouldn't know what to do with himself if she died. FEELS, my friends, feels everywhere. It's scenes like these that remind me that they have one of the strongest bonds on this show, and their chemistry is insane.
I'm fanning myself. Give us more Stydia already, make it happen!
Not sure about Perrish unintenionally working for the Dread Doctors. Idk but it kinda seemed to me as if he in what could be a dreaming or trance status was returning the dead back to nature. Maybe they are some kind of an offering....giving power to the nematon. (Maybe Jennifer is somehow still alive....a Darach could be helpfull against those Doctors ...Science vs nature...)
Same here! Great theory btw! I also think that Parrish is maybe somehow compelled (and doesn't know about it) to return the bodies of the 'made' supernaturals' back to nature.....and by burning them on the nematon he is giving power back to it and to the nature.
Yeah the theory going around that Parrish is trying to restore the Nemeton could very well be possible. Also, anything to get the awesome Jennifer Blake back is fine with me. Such an awesome villain!
Remember this isn't the most honorable depiction to the Wendigo myth, they're basically Weres, they had them last season. Wendigos aren't new to Teen Wolf but here they don't have the same myth, they changed a lot, like you said: the cold heart, etc.
Yeah it was Theo, yeah she did, maybe she's not another Harris but another Yukimura?, Malia and Stiles have a lot in common, that's why they're an amazing couple, they're so cute and awesome!!!! I think because she's a Banshee and she's getting warned by her power or something?
I thought about that. But Parrish looks so sad. (thought it would be really disconcerting for him to look happy as he collected and cremated the bodies)
When I re-watched on another TV, the lighting was better and I was able to see fore certain that that was Parrish.
I hope so. Scott needs a teacher who believes in him. It's a shame that he has such a low opinion of himself academically. Actually, he also had a crisis of confidence when he delivered Lucas to the morgue.
Oh i thought you meant when theo was talking to Donovan my bad LOL, no yeah it was obvious it was Parrish. Every leader is bound to have one eventually.
in almost all Wendigo lore, even those among the legit oral traditions of Native Americas, they are afraid of fire and Parrish clearly is not. My guess is that he more a phoenix or a subset of that such as
oh, sorry , the little shit, yeah, that is interesting but wasn't he experimented on by the doctors and aren't they just wanting "people" not creatures as their base?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Stiles! Can't wait to see what happens to Stiles.
That or the book characters could've been inspired by the Dread doctors. Like with werewolf lore in this show.
ReplyDeleteApparently is Phoenix is off the table, so my theory is Dragon.
ReplyDeleteThis episode was great!!! I KNEW I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THEO!!!!!!!! I knew he worked for them!!!!!! I feel so bad for Malia, she saved someone only for them to die in front of them, CHIMERA!!! ReplyDeleteI guess she doesn't want to find her anymore. Hey team effort, it's what this show's all about.
ReplyDeleteWhat team effort, i'm confused LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt said who was the desert wolf. She know she is an assassin
ReplyDeleteThe fox looked really mad at the wolf
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode, really a lot of fun.

Yeeah i know i meant in a more emotional way.
ReplyDeleteHe's a Wendigo
ReplyDeleteTo beat the Scorpion. It wasn't just Liam. It was Scott, Liam, Kira and Brett. Just like with basically every villain or fight on this show.
ReplyDeleteAlso apparently it gives Kira automatic fluent unconscious knowledge of Japanese. Which is awesome. And like ruthless killer part makes sense. She's a fox spirit whose name means killer.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode!!!!! I never thought that Theo would be that big of a part in the whole doctor thing. This new threat is getting very interesting. And i have to say the show keeps getting better and better.

Like i said, i knew he was their agent, bringing them "patients", i like your theory about Parrsih, a LOT actually LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhat did i tell you, she only gets badass when the fox takes over, never when she's herself.
ReplyDeleteSo i should feel angry that Scott, an Alpha couldn't take down the werescorpion and Liam, a Beta did? That this enemy needed a team effort?
ReplyDeleteAha, i didn't read your theory so i guess you were correct.
ReplyDeleteif the doctors are "making" creatures and have said that those who "failed" were of "terminal condition" and didn't claim the bodies why would they use Parrish to rez them or use Parrish to do anything with them? they are clearly more interested in the "science" of it then the supernatural. i.e. why not graph a werewolf etc... why take only humans then?

I love your Parrish Theory!!!
ReplyDeleteFeel whatever you want. Anger, etc. Just pointing out that it was all of them not just Liam.
ReplyDeleteRight except 3B still disproves that. And Ivan she's a Kitsune. That fox is her.
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome episode. Well done, Jeff Davis. Well done.
ReplyDeleteJust what is Parrish? Tell us already!
Ah, my Stydia feels....
Yeah i know, but it seems like she has a LITERAL fox entity in her, wanting to come out. In that scene she spoke Japanese and she had that weird staticky thing happen to her face, so something's not normal with her. You have to remember she doesn't shift so maybe it's different with her kind.
ReplyDeletePart of his nature of being a...? LOL but yeah he's not cognizant of what he's doing and i don't think he's part of the Docs.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost never right, so when it happened i was so excited LOL.
ReplyDeleteI read that. So now my theory is Salamander.
ReplyDeleteCool, i just don't get how it's possible, the Docs have to have some kind of supernatural "glue" as it were to be able to put different parts of Weres on their "patients" and make them work. It can't be just science, and they're not definitely not human, they unlocked that pad without even touching it.
ReplyDeleteDo they catch fire? Salamander sound boring though LOL.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he's a Wendigo unless they change the lore of the creature. In almost all versions, the two constants are their coldness and/or heart of ice and their speed.
ReplyDelete"a mythical being, especially a lizard or other reptile, thought to be able to live in fire."
ReplyDeleteMyths-
They can create or put out fire.
Sometimes they are the fire.
Yeah same here. But good guess on the theory for Theo.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for the dragon theory!!
ReplyDeleteGenetics, biology, animal DNA Ivan.
ReplyDeleteNot enough Stiles. Period.
ReplyDeleteI like your Tracy theory, but it seemed to me like the were definitively telling us the Doctors are turning NON-supernaturals into supernaturals. But I think your theory would make a great creature in like season 6.
ReplyDeleteI looked at Malia erasing The Desert Wolf as her acknowledging that what's happening is more important and she's with Stiles on his investigation.
ReplyDeleteOther characters need focus.
ReplyDeletebut what if the dead are some kind of treasure
ReplyDeleteSTILES AND LYDIA <3! She's his anchor! She was bleeding and sweatin but she was able to crack a smile for Stiles so he could calm down and go, if that's not a mfcking OTP I don't know what it is! ReplyDeleteHuh interesting
ReplyDeleteThat works, that hand mouth was creepy

Oh i thought you meant when theo was talking to Donovan my bad LOL, no yeah it was obvious it was Parrish. Every leader is bound to have one eventually.
ReplyDeleteyes, as in "inherent nature" you can have that but not know what your "nature" is.
ReplyDeleteand like I said he is doing it subconsciously, meaning his sub-states knows what his conscious state does not.
not sure where the "LOL" of it comes in.
in almost all Wendigo lore, even those among the legit oral traditions of Native Americas, they are afraid of fire and Parrish clearly is not. My guess is that he more a phoenix or a subset of that such as
ReplyDeleteIfrits, Dragons, Lampad, Salamander etc...
And that's a typo on my part. I *was* referring to Theo. not Parrish. I'm going to fix that now.
ReplyDeleteNo, they're talking about Donovan, not Parrish.
ReplyDeleteOh ok, so i wasn't confused?
ReplyDeleteIt's from not knowing what the heck he is, Dragon for me.
ReplyDeleteah, yes, I think his character is interesting but underdeveloped. he seems rather blasé about the whole being different and coming back to life situation.
ReplyDeleteDragon would be neat.
oh, sorry , the little shit, yeah, that is interesting but wasn't he experimented on by the doctors and aren't they just wanting "people" not creatures as their base?
ReplyDelete
