And the good news is their coming for Zack that little asshole.............his mom (strigoi) can have him! No Family Court or Judge's order needed just "Strigoi Mommy" and creepy kids (rant over). This was a excellent episode especially the Fett/Dutch scenes and how the "Professor" first meet Eldridge and got/took the "cane sword". This season is off to a great start! 4 THE KILLER STRAIN, I am Nobody!!!
Great episode, especially the "children". Freaky! Zack just gets on my nerves now and wouldn't mind seeing a tentacle wrap around his head. The skinny dipping in the pool wins the cheezy scene of the week. It's night, wide open due to the broken glass in the door, and they ignore the fact that there are vampires lol.
Tone-wise, this was one of the most consistent episodes to date since the show's Season 1 kickoff episode. I'm not sure what happened there in Season 1, but The Strain managed to swing from "great" to "meh" to "godawful" (usually in the course of a single episode) and still feel like it was making no progress whatsoever. This season seems like it's off to a more solid start, and By Any Means was one of my favorite installments so far. They seem to be dishing up a lot more of those awesome creepy nightmare visuals, which give the show more style and atmosphere. I'm still not a huge fan of all the flashbacks -- and so far, the kid playing Zack 2.0 is WAY overplaying the Pissy Preteen card (I cringe every moment he's on screen) -- but I'm getting more interested to see where things are headed.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Gotta love those weird creepy children.
