it got a season 2 so we at least have that, not sure on mr robot anymore, but its not fight club wasnt similar until it was revealed anyway. But they have shown they can go their own way with it. though its now 70/30 that mr robot isnt real for me.
it's different kind of show for usa network that is for sure, i expect bog things from colony now as well. Both this and colony is out of their comfort zone in tv. It's usually more like suits the same formula over and over again, and while mr robot is the same every episode essientially it does seem like it's premise will not get old like suits for example. But if you dislike the main character you wont like show at all.
This week there was too much proof that Mr. Robot is real, so maybe that men's he is not? Dammit I don't want him to be real. But I can't accept it yet maybe when he talks to someone alone or something when Elliot is not around.
Elliot weirdness was strong at steel mountain I was like oh shit how is he gonna get thru and get the job done, he does get it done but at the cost of having been revealed by Tyrell( which I think is a good thing). But making that man feel sad was sad lol it hurt, I hope he eats ice scream and watch a good show he likes when he goes home.
Tyrell is still crazy in what he does with people. I loved have he made the wife of his competitor spread her legs and then just leaves.
idk even in the van or in the hotel, they could not have been talking or responding to mr robot, and then everything in the mic could of just been Elliot if hes not real. But it's not 100 % that hes not real anymore.
Suits has been very serialized from at least the second season, the show has never really fit the blue skies procedural formula of USA. I dont watch Graceland but Satisfaction and Complications are serialized dramas and a lot more interesting than people give them credit for. I agree that Mr Robot is a higher level show than the other, newer serialized dramas on the network, but USA has been moving away from their blue skies formula for 2 years or so.
Tyrell is my favorite character on this show. He's so intimidating and weird, that arrogance is just so interesting. He scared Elliot shitless by just having lunch with him lol.
with suits i put in that category because they have to force the premise in every season without any real development on how they do it. Though they can get that formula right on occasion, burn notice was great after all. Even though it had the same problem as suits. Complication just is not my style. Never seen satisfaction so cpuld not say.
Jessica saving Louis's ass big time here. This was another episode where I ended it feeling frustrated with Louis. You would've thought that after all the shit he's been through in the last 4 years, he'd smarten up and not get played but it's happened again. He's meant to be a name partner, we've seen him go toe to toe with Harvey, Jessica and Hardman, yet Jack Soloff makes him his bitch on a weekly basis. Can the writers find a backbone and let him keep it for once.
An all round, good episode with some more good character development for Harvey. I've had a feeling Harvey's mommy issues were the cause of him completely closing up emotionally so it's nice to see the show explore that avenue. We also got to see why Jessica is managing partner, she's about 5 steps ahead of everyone else.
Everytime they show Tyrell's personal life I have no idea what the hell is going on. I've never been more intrigued by a character.
I love how the show goes from Mr.Robot not interacting with anyone for four episodes and they just casually start having him run in to people. The writers have been probably watching these fan theories and are now laughing and so proud of themselves after that beginning.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
With each passing episode, it's getting weirder and weirder and better and better. Naturally, I'm dreading the day the show's going to be cancelled.

ReplyDeleteGreat episode. Really loved the Bill-Elliot scene. So well acted and also so difficult to watch.

I want him to be real too! I know I keep saying this after every episode, but I will be extremely disappointed if he is just in Elliot's head!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Best episode so far.
