That was so awesome! I loved everything about this premiere. Lots of action and some humor mixed in (The smiley Alex drew for Gabriel was so rebellious and hilarious. XD )
The Alex and Noma team up is great to watch. I am so glad Alex was finally able to evict an 8 ball and save the person inside. Especially one possessed right at the start of the war. Impressive.
I am relieved the writers took exactly the route I expected and hoped for Michael. He has nightmares about his past wrongs and he's not in crazy slaughter mode - he's dangerous, but he's always been that way. He is lost, guilty, and losing hope God will ever return. And then there is Mallory with its mysterious fire that burns 8 balls that just may give him the hope he needs. It's a very interesting storyline.
That was brilliant! I loved having different stories in different locations rather than everyone in the one place. I hope it doesn't drop in quality when/if they all reunite. I do miss Ethan though :(
excellent start to the season and really liked the path that Michael has undergone to "find his faith/path" again, and wouldn't mind him staying in the new town a bit more to figure things out, but it looks like he's on his way as he made a choice to "join us or get out of the way".... Good plotline with Alex and Nova finding out that Alex is starting to figure out evictions, and am glad that we might get a chance to see another city (even though Delphi sounds like it might be a scary one), and really like how strong Claire has turned out to be, but her fight with David is going to be a tough one...
I really liked it and can't wait for more. I really hope that Michael and Alex mend their relationship soon so that they can fight side by side. Plus I want to see how Michael reacts once he finds out that Alex can save 8 balls without killing them. He knew Alex could do it (or at lest was supposed to be able to do it) but has yet to see him do it successfully. I think he'll be pleased that The Chosen One has grown into his power and is fulfilling his destiny. On another note when did that one guy die? Last I remember he married Alex's girlfriend/baby momma and was torching his father. Ether I missed something or its been so long that I've forgotten. lol Anyway getting back to Michael, I liked that he started fighting only after the one woman in the bunker said "God will protect us". It seemed like God was answering her call by having Michael at the right place at the right time. Also that sword fight was bad ass and kind of sexy. And as far as Alex goes, watching the new tattoo go from him to the 8 ball was a neat effect. And one I hope they use again sometime, after all there are a lot of 8 balls out there.
The other guy William, was found out to be a traitor and Claire wanted him dead for it. David took him and instead of killing him dumped him in the desert to give him a chance to escape. With fake William having a gunshot wound to the back of the head I wonder if David only thinks he is dead.
I agree. I also loved that Michael started fighting after that line. It seems Michael and the Mallory town needed each other that day. Whether it was guidance by God or not remains to be seen.
Definitely not. In Alex's eyes he went too far and by Michael's nightmares, he knows too. Remember he didn't just kill Becca, he also killed 2 soldiers in the core and attacked Alex while in his rage.
Awesome start. Im not gonna lie i dont rememebr what happened to Willian, i remember a fire and then being vanished but did he died? but whatever i will find a video soemwhere later.
I am glad than finally Alex could do an exorcism thata ctually worked, he is getting betetr at things.
And Man how screw is Claire, only a few hours and has to deal with so much shit. How cool was that comunity. I need to know how that fire burns the eight balls.
I don't think it should (the characters reuniting). At least I hope not because I'm hoping in happens before the second half of the season. I don't think after expanding the world they'd cram everyone back into Vega, and that was one of the few critiques I had about the first season (besides not having quite enough action). Last season in Vega felt a bit stuffy for an Apocalyptic show. Besides the storyline with Michael and Alex in episode 3 "Broken Places" that was the best part of episode 3. Getting outside Vega more.
Maybe, maybe not. The William we see now may be a manifestation of a guilty father's conscience but what would be the odds of his son actually surviving with just a gun, 6 bullets, and a few days' worth of food.
I meant that we actually see the real William in the trailer. He's wearing different clothes and has a longer beard. It looks like he ended up with others survivors.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
William's dead and he is but an illusion being seen by his father.

And I have to say that rain fight scene was epic.
It made a lot more sense then the idea William was able to get back in Vega.

Really enjoyed that episode. Michael has begun his redemption and Alex is beginning to fulfill his potential. All is good.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think the new lady in Mallory is a potential love interest for Michael?

I'd like to imagine this figure of William inside David's head is a manifestation of a guilty father's conscience, hence being a nega-tron. lol
ReplyDeleteI thought Alex and Michael had a sort of mutual understanding after he killed Becca?
