Omg that was such a roller coaster ride. Four being the innocent one and Six being the killer, and then trying to kill himself. Then the Five & Six feels :( Three doesn't seem to have changed that much. I loved Four's environment, as in the buildings and clothes etc, wherever that was.
It was a brilliant episode. I love that when Five was in trouble Two's reaction was very familial and maybe sisterly in its nature. She stroked Five's head and held her hand and it seemed very instinctual for her. Three knows who he is even without his memories. It was a great choice to make Four innocent and Six the killer. Except Six murdered bad guys. He did not intend to or want to murder all those innocents. It sets him up for a very interesting mission to take down The General and set things right.
Six killed everyone in the room though and not all of them were involved in it. After that episode it is Six's story I'm most interested in, how he's going to cope with all of this, if he's going to try to kill himself again or think about doing it, is he going to tell Five. I just hope they don't give him the typical revenge or seeking justice storyline that's always done but I'm sure the show won't do that, it's done a good job of putting a twist on things so far.
I don't think he'll try to kill himself again, but he will most certainly seek revenge. He won't tell Five for the simple fact that he wants to protect her. The way Five reacted to Two killing those guys wold indicate that Six wouldn't have much better luck keeping Five's trust then Two did if Five learns the truth. I predict we'll get a revenge story in the very near future.
You were not kidding when you said fans of Continuum would recognize what Cross played in the memory, after seeing the Season 4 promo i had Travis fresh in my mind that i called him Travis. Not to mention this show has Corporations in charge just like in 2077 in Continuum.
I may be vague in my previews, but I always try to be true to the episode. This is such an amazingly well crafted show. It definitely felt like an episode of Continuum for just a minute. I can't wait to see what Six does next.
He was a "freedom fighter" JUST like Liber8 call themselves, that's crazy, after his talk with Five (great scene by the way) i thought he would leave the past in the past. So i was so mad that he's looking for revenge, that i still saw Travis in him and i don't to EVER see Travis Verta in Six.
Six is not going to be able to leave that in his past. Four and Six reacting this way will not help Five believe in her ability to save Two. I really want to know how Five got out of the airlock. Did Two intervene and save her? Did Six help too? Is that why she's so close to them? We never saw Two on the ship, but we know she was their leader even then. Five seems to be an orphan, so could Two be the sister she never knew and they discover their blood bond by accident? Did Two save her from Three and take her under her wing? Why didn't Five go back to TJ sooner or did the events of Five's dream happen just prior to them going in stasis and she didn't have time? So many new questions.
I'll go with what i said before, Two discovered her and instead of throwing her out or killing her, she instead she, like you said, took her under her wing. After seeing the episode i don't think they're blood related anymore unfortunately, maybe we don't much faith in Four and Six and they won't go through with it? Probably the dumb optimist in me because i'm a pathological pessimist unfortunately LOL. I'll go with the memory happening minutes before them going into stasis and there being no time, Five didn't seem like the person to leave someone behind so the latter.
This episode was AMAZING!!!!! So One's a farm boy, why am i not surprised LOL, so Two DEFINITELY has feelings for One. I knew people kept saying it but i like that it was pretty much confirmed, i knew Five was part of a pickpocketing crew! So no one on the crew killed the boy aka JT, he bled out, i'm kind of glad, sad that he died but glad that crew didn't kill a teenage boy. Three is basically the same he was in the past aside from having constant murdering thoughts, Four being innocent was a HUGE surprise since he seems the most dangerous. Six, oh SIx, he may not have been a murderer but he was something, i can't believe he was suicidal, that surprised me. I HATE what Five said about Two, i NEVER want her to be scared of her, it shattered my heart when she said that about her. I loved Two holding her hand and stroking her head in a motherly way, i loved even more that Five didn't move her hand, i was horrified that she would.
Two definitely has feelings for One, but I'm glad she understands that she has to have other priorities right now. I want to see them together, but right now is way to soon.
Five may have trust issues with Two, but they still have a bond. She took this whole risk not just to get into the vault, but to try and help Two. Five would not have taken that risk unless she trusted Two. The fact she didn't pull her hand away shows that their is hope to fix what happened between them. They keep fighting for each other despite everything, so we'll see where this goes. I'm quite interested to see what event will finally make Five trust Two again.
There were a lot of surprises in the stories of Four and Six. They were both very surprising stories, but we at least had some basic information on Four's past. What we learned about Six was completely new and intense.
The best thing about this episode (and to a lesser degree the previous two) is that individual characters have their own enemies/rivals ie: Six/The General, Four/Empress and (possibly) the Prince (his half - brother), One/Jace "The Real" Corso, and Two/Tabor Calchek. On a final not before closing........................Two and Three.....................WTF? 4 THE ONLY DARK WHO MATTER, I am still Nobody!!!
fantastic ep that deepened the characters of 1, 5, 6, and especially the mystery that is 4 by giving us some really good background on the characters that will obviously steer the arcs for 4 and 6 in the future, as both will be looking for revenge/redemption in their own ways. Really nice touch that it was revealed that the stone cold killer that is 4 was actually innocent of the original crime he is accused of, and 6, for as noble as he is when he believes in a cause, can be quite the killer himself...and like the preview mentioned Roger Cross pretty much blurring the lines between "Continuum" and this show's theme with his speech of railing against the corporations... And 1 (or Titch? as he was called in the memory), with the seemingly perfect environment growing up - really makes us wonder what led from there to where he is now...... Really great to see the concern that 1, 2, and 6 had for 5, and of course they really focused in on 2 for sure.... Really good to see that 5's memory solved a few things for us: the "uncomplicated hookup" between 2 and 3, the mysterious key, the dead boy in the cargo hold, and of course the keycode that I assume that will unlock the mysterious vault....
lol yeah, it was uncanny how much Six = Travis especially after checking out the Continuum promo that was posted earlier today.... and Five overheard One/Six discussing it as she was crawling in the vents in her memory - it was the name of a past teacher (or something like that) for Six - "Mrs Maplethorpe"
Yeah having seen the Continuum Season 4 promo had Travis fresh in my mind LOL, i can't believe they didn't show any new scenes though, just that SOB Dillon being alive and nothing more. Are you positive that's the password though? I thought it was just to show how they were before the mind-wipe.
Yeah that's true but i'm still glad she admitted that she has feelings for him, it was such a cute and funny conversation wasn't it? Is that maybe why they did a close-up of Two and Five's hands? Yeah Six's past was intense, honestly i thought it was way darker, like he was laughing about someone dying and begging for help.
not 100% about the code, but pretty sure it is as the dialogue in which it was mentioned was somewhat "slyly obvious", and I think that the line went something like: "It's as good a code as any, I know I'll never forget it, she used to hit me on the knuckles with a ruler".... or something like that...
That Sex talk between One and Two was so awkward to watch lol. But Glad that's out of the way now.
Five's past was sad, she grew up on the space streets with her pals, who got slaughtered. I want to know more of who she stole from and whom was after her for the key. And Dammit 3, was still mean before, I wonder who stops him from letting Five drift off in space.
6 has a big Burden on him, knowing his past, I guess that explains what they talked about at Comic Con that there would be 2 ep centered on him later. 4 now has revenge on his mind.
Now we just need to know more about 1 and 2's past.
"Out of the way" as in the Three thing or One and Two? Yeah the keycard people are coming back aren't they? Were you surprised though that Three was basically the same but now he's less murderous? Well we know now that One was a farm boy, that's something right?
"I HATE what Five said about Two, i NEVER want her to be scared of her, it shattered my heart when she said that about her."
Well, I guess the most important thing here is that Five WANTS to trust Two. Five tries to understand Two and to protect her from becoming "evil" again. The bonding between them is indubitable.
I hate this Empress. What a mean, devious bitch. It was a little bit naive for Five to think that Four will be relieve. Of course Four will go after his Stepmother now.
Great episode ! There is just one thing that's still on my mind, when Three put Five in the airlock how did she manage to escape ? Because from what I have seen, there was no way out. Too bad they did not show us this moment.
Every episode I'm more curious to know how "Two" and "Five" meet each other. I do not believe that "Five's" memories happened just prior the stasis situation. I also don't believe she could leave someone behind, maybe something or someone forced her leave TJ, but when they found the clothes, after wake up, had clothes in "Five's" size, different from the clothes she was using when "Three" put her in the airlock and were new ones. Also has the gun she found with the key, they didn't appear have it in the memories.
"Five" risked herself to help the others move on, but "Four" and "Six" reactions show doesn't worked, maybe they don't have salvation. "Three" is not "Five's" favorite person, after what she saw in her memories he will lose more points. If "One" is the one who grown in a farm, this kinda confirms what "Jace" said about the facial surgery. "Two" and "Five" relationship is not lost. I confess be apprehensive when "Two" held "Five's" hand, that she could refuse the gesture. One of the most important things in this episode: NEVER LEAVE "SIX" ANGRY.
Great episode. Two revealing that she has feelings for One was a given. I mean from the moment she touched his face n told him take sure he gets his ads back to the ship n told Six to drag him back if he has to told us that she had feelings for him. I loved Four's back story can't wait too see him go after that wicked bitch. I felt for Six he was a rebel but he really thought he was serving the greater good. I want to see what he does because the kind of man he is, he will definitely want to make things right.
I love this show and by now I am 100% sure I am sticking to it no matter what. This episode debunked a lot of speculations for me. For example: I was always wondering who was Five closest to ...now I know that to nobody because she arrived days before the show started
I still think Two had to have had something to do with Five's rescue. This show continually surprises me, so I could be way off here, but it would explain some of the close bond they seem to share.
There's no chemistry between One and Two, it's just awkward. I hope they drop it.
I thought Six's backstory was great, and I love Roger Cross. Can't wait to see more of him. Alex Mallari got short-changed though. Jodelle Ferland did a good job, but we should've seen Alex in those scenes. They've pretty much stuck him in the gym so far.
Four's time is coming! According to the episode descriptions he's got a big storyline coming his way. http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/07/dark-matter-episodes-109-to-113-synopses.html

I'm enjoying this series, but when do we get "The Android" episode? 4 THE PALMERIST, I am Nobody!!!
ReplyDeleteOmg that was such a roller coaster ride. Four being the innocent one and Six being the killer, and then trying to kill himself. Then the Five & Six feels :( Three doesn't seem to have changed that much. I loved Four's environment, as in the buildings and clothes etc, wherever that was.
ReplyDeleteWhile the next ep is supposedly Three focused I'm hearing that there is some good stuff with The Android. So hopefully more of her next week.
ReplyDeleteIt was a brilliant episode. I love that when Five was in trouble Two's reaction was very familial and maybe sisterly in its nature. ReplyDeleteFor me it was Four and Three being alike, so seeing Four be innocent surprised me a lot.

ReplyDeleteThat Sex talk between One and Two was so awkward to watch lol. But Glad that's out of the way now.
ReplyDeleteFive's past was sad, she grew up on the space streets with her pals, who got slaughtered. I want to know more of who she stole from and whom was after her for the key.

ReplyDeletelooks like One really did have a face transplant. that's so weird
ReplyDeleteI hate that they didn't show more about what happened to Five in the airlock

ReplyDelete"Out of the way" in just them talking about it. The dudes got balls to even bring that topic up to her. But yea I do like them.
ReplyDeleteBehind the scenes pic from an upcoming episode...
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeleteThree a farm boy, you can't really think that? Yeah i'm glad Two admitted she has feeling for One.
ReplyDeleteOk, it will be explain later.
ReplyDeleteThanks !
