The best episode so far.Had me at the edge of my seat sweating it out. JT,Vincent, Cat and Tess were definitely at their best game tonight. Oh and Bob&Carol were good also. Too bad they couldn't work together.
Welcome back BATB! Best episode since 3.01 in my opinion. The writers finally remembered that this show is strongest when it does a good job balancing supernatural\action storylines with romance. That kiss in the end brought back some great memories. Even some shockers! The main characters worked so well together, man I missed a good JT\Vinnie scene. I even liked the tess\cat scenes, I finally remembered they were friends. Jt was the true hero to me, man I missed that brilliant side of him.
I like this show however I have had it with them repeating the same thing (primal, humanity, better together) over and over in every episode. Was it really necessary for every character to say that Vincent and Cat are better together than they are apart? We get it. Jeez
Awesome episode, but kind of disappointed that they finished the story with the assassins that early. Not to mention that these guys were trying so much to get the cure and yet they didn't even realized that JT can actually help them even progress with their blood and the serum in their blood.
I definitely thought the episode was great, but I feel like they've kind of skirted over the fact that JT has this new ability. Like -I wanted to know what everyone said when they found out. Were they shocked? Concerned? Upset? I just feel like we missed the big reveal of JT's healing ability, but I really loved the whole bromance scene we got in this episode! I love JT&V scenes so much! I'm also glad that they focused on an episode where Cat doesn't have to be physically present for V to return to normal. It's good he can just think of her and find a way to calm down, and I love how JT was the one who reminded V that Cat's love will never go away even though she's not always with him. :') that was a good scene. :)
Wow, It was an adrenalitic episode with awesome fights and great dialogues. Bob and Carol would have been an interesting addition to the show, sort of VinCat dark nemesis . Why kill them off so quickly ? - VinCat are lost in a funny translation. If Cat is eager to dive into action Vincent is acting like an ostrich . They live in extremes rather than in balance and the counselor further complicated their relationship . The road to independency can make them more vulnerable . Losing yourself or losing your life ? - Carol death was eye-rolling but also over the top romantic. I was surprised Cat didn't even make an attempt to help her . Reanimating Gabe was her favorite hobby last season. - JT / V bromance : They share a very unique and epic friendship . JT has always been the anchor in Vincent life , the constant one person who never turned his back on him when everybody else did - last season was a good example. He is a Beauty on his own but he doesn’t get enough credit for what he does. For the records, our Beast was going wild without him. Sorry Vincent but you didn’t make it “on your own”. You just had a different whisperer. - They are still using S1 flashback whenever the Beast need a catalyst to his human-self. I guess Vincent alter-ego doesn’t have good memories about S2. Nor do I . - JT powers are gone yet ? Lame - Last scene was sweet but when she asked ‘ would you stop your heart for me? I thought it should have been nice the other way round to create a mirrored image of Carol-Cat .
Honestly I liked this ep a lot more after a rewatch because the sneaky clever trailer caused me to have expectations of Vincent being captured and tortured but it turned into something else ~ sweet bromance moment though ~ JT to the rescue ~ nice! What surprised me in a good way was how much I enjoyed Bob and Carol's love for each other ~ as a reviewer put it ~ they are the GRIM MIRROR of VinCat which made their demise even more tragic. I hated the idea of VinCat going their separate ways this ep but I guess it was necessary for Vincent to find out that he could beast down on his own.And of course the VinCat ending made the ep for me ♥
A very entertaining episode action packed, I do hate it was the ending of Bob & Carol, I know it's already a crowded cast, I'm just sad they didn't have they're happy ending, glad to see the bromance at it's finest, JT was most definetly the character of the night, he is such a good friend, I just don't get the romance of Tess and Dr Forbes, no chemistry they were so much better as friends, it feels so forced reminds me so much of the forced coupling of an unnamed union in season two, on a happier note, I'm really enjoying season three, it's getting more and more intense, looks like the rest of the ride is going to be a roller coaster ride, I love it!!!!!
Loved this episode - it was Awesome and very intense and action packed. Worried about Vincent in the woods with nowhere to hide and Bob anticipating his every move and then finally tranquilizing him. JT showed up just in time, saved his friend and got rid of the serum in his body. Did Carol actually stop her heart or was she programmed to kill herself if Bob got killed. After all, they were a pair and Carol was afraid to talk when Catherine was interrogating her about who the people behind these experiments are. Carol was scared to say anything which led me to believe that she knew if either Bob or she got killed, the other would have to die. I think it was the people behind the experiments that pulled the plug on Carol after Vincent killed Bob and Carol found out he was dead. Catherine might put it together when she thinks more about why Carol supposedly "stopped her heart", or maybe I'm wrong in my theory. The episode would have been SUPER AWESOME if the writers would have given us a VinCat steamy love scene at the end. Although the ending was cute, it would have been really great to see some VinCat lov'n in the sheets at the end. Looking forward to next week's episode of "Chasing Ghosts". "The Most Dangerous Beast" was a real nail biting episode and I loved it.
You don't get what i'm saying. From what i saw they could have been programmed to do what ever it is. But what they showed was that their main goal was to get the cure and to get away from that life. So to me it's disappointing that they never showed any kind of interest on finding the cure themselves or even to go to JT for help.
Were, they really aware of who JT is, or his connection to the serum? I no they knew everything about Vincat but, I don't think they were aware of the importance of JT. In all of this
Well, from this episode, i know that they have been following Vincent and Cat constantly for a couple of weeks, that means at some point they have seen Vincent or Cat going to JT, that means at some point they might even have been able to break in into his loft and plant a bug or whatever on his computer to lure Vincent or Cat in a trap. So at some point they could have found out about the serum, his connection to it and even to get his research from his computer. So yeah they could have been aware, but the writers didn't write that part. To me this is a great disappointment.
Kidnapping JT and forcing him to make a serum would have been a repeat performance from 212 and we know how much these writers HATE repetition. Don't we? LOL.
True, they were cold-blooded killers. Bob killed this Daniels guy in the woods for no reason at all and Carol shot the restaurant owner just to lure Catherine out. And it was all done so they could get an antidote for the serum coursing through them. It is NOT okay to kill somebody to save yourself. We already went through this in S1 with an certain ADA whose name we will never mention again - he tried to kill Vincent (and would have killed Catherine too) in order to save his own miserable neck and we NEVER forgave him for that. At least I did NOT.
I get what you're saying - they didn't know about JT having had the serum also. They only knew that JT was VinCat's close friend. That's why they didn't go to JT to ask him to save them. Why would they even be interested in finding a cure for themselves - they were trained assassins who lived very comfortably from going out on missions when the people behind these experiments sent them. Carol was very afraid to talk about who was behind them and these experiments. Didn't you get it when Bob was killed by Vincent, Carol also was terminated. Catherine tried to get her to say who was behind all this and Carol was too scared to talk, let alone try and get a cure.
You saw what you saw, but I didn't see it that way. Everyone sees or understands things differently. I understood it to be that Bob and Carol's mission was to kill Catherine and capture Vincent. They wanted to take him back to whoever the people are behind these experiments.
I agree with you Lord Nikon they were talking about getting out, they wanted a "normal existence" with the capture of Vincent they thought they would be big enough for who ever they worked for they'd get the antidote and they could get the serum to set them free, so they could live happily ever after.at that point they didn't need or think of JT they were counting on the Big Bad to release them out of their contract so to speak, we saw the same show:)
The Big Bad would never have let them go even if they brought them Vincent, because they don't want anyone who knows who they are to live. If Bob and Carol know who these people or organization are, they would have been killed no matter what they did. In fact, JT wanted to get rid of the serum in his body because he was afraid the Big Bad would pull the plug on him. Wasn't JT a nervous wreck about having the serum in his body and was anxiously trying to find an antidote?
I just wish writers could cut some of KK lines .She's extremely chatty . The poor girl can barely breathe and sometimes the final result is a bit robotic.
I absolutely loved this episode. So intense, the acting superb. I re watched it cause I missed so many little important bits incorporated into this concentrated yet entertaining episode. Next weeks looks great to. S3 for me has been a joy to watch
No they were in love, as villainous as they were, they weren't programmed, they really couldn't live without each other, another way they were the anti-Vincat.
Bob and Carol weren't a fake couple, as murderous psychopaths as they were, they were actually in love. They really thought that if they captured Vincent and gave him to their boss they'd be free. They were killers but they wanted out of this life. They wanted the antidote and be free and yes the Big Bad would've killed them on the spot but they wouldn't have know that.
No she wasn't programmed, as much a short time we knew Bob and Carol we were shown how much they actually loved each other, in a twisted warped sort of way, because they were still villains. So when Carol stopped her heart, it was out of pure heartbreak, and i feel so morbid saying this but hey Catherine said it first LOL, but i think either Vincent and Catherine would do the same if the worst happened to either of them.
I agree. Bob & Carol actually wanted to capture Vincent alive so they can take him to their boss, the Big Bad because they "cannot go back empty handed". And they also needed Vincent alive so they can use his blood to make the antidote and free themselves. What they did not know is how powerful Vincent can be. I guess we will see more of Vincent's superhuman powers in the coming episodes. Jay Ryan is magnificent..
Absolutely and don't get me started about the red-headed trollop. Both of them were just WRONG. At least Vincent has the excuse of having been brain-washed, but for my lovely Catherine to start a relationship with the very man who tried to kill her and Vincent is psychotic behavior and has NOTHING to do with being traumatized and wanting a normal life, or rebound, or making bad choices - it is plain SICKENING.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteHow did you feel about them bringing a little of the procedural element they got rid of in Season 1? I hated it!

ReplyDeleteI loved, but really it wasn't my prefered episode of S03. For now, I prefer the episodes 1 and 4, but I'm liking so much of the S03!
