  1. BATB "Heart of the Matter" was another fabulous episode for S03. It had it's funny moments, especially when JT was getting bombed with phone calls from Vincent, Catherine and Tess and trying to transfer them to the right person - had to laugh. Loved the therapist - he should be a regular and Catherine and Vincent are so funny when they disagree. It made us worry when Catherine and Vincent were locked in the freezer when they found the heart, and Catherine's fight scene with the people who were trying to prevent the millionaire from getting the transplant. It had everything, action, comedy and that special romantic moment between Vincent and Catherine at the end. Definitely an awesome episode and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next week.

  2. I really liked this episode, I've the whole season and I love this show! Its been a consistent season filled with some good writing and a decent storyline. But maybe that's the problem, too consistent, where's the wow moments of s3? I'm not sure If there's any one scene that I'm going to remember a year from now unlike s1 and even s2 moments (first dance, kiss at the ball, cat shooting vin and vins arrest/vincat reunited). They have glossed over some moments that should have been bigger-the engagement and learning about Jt superhero status. Realism is good, maybe that's where they should be at this point in the relationship and after all the shock they have been through, but I do think this show needs wow to live up to expectations. Part of the missing wow, other than the vincat realism, ia that we haven't found the real big bad yet, just a bunch of semi-bads, possibly working for the big-bad. Mystery is good to build suspense but doesn't do much for indidual wow scenes. They haven't gotten hitched yet, maybe that will bring the big wow.

  3. Is it weird that Vincent didn't look like he was freezing like Catherine or does he not feel temperature? Told you it was a good episode LOL.

  4. There were some great moments in this episode but I am a little confused. I thought the whole premise of last season was finding themselves separate from the other one. We spent almost 22 episodes with Car and Vincent developing their characters and not being defined in the relationship, yet here we are going through the very same thing. To be honest, I am not interested in the everyday challenges of a relationship. This isn't a normal relationship and I just want to see the epic love story and get those epically romantic moments. Is only been 4 episodes and we are already having to have Cat and Vincent define each other outside of the relationship. I don't want to regurgitate what last season was all about, we should be way past that.

  5. I thought the episode was good, but it was hard to follow at times due to the time jumps. I liked how the marriage counseling kind of weaved in and out of the episode - that was interesting, but there were still some questions unanswered (which could be a purposeful thing). I was wondering who JT was talking to when he was on the phone before purposely falling down the stairs. I didn't catch that. And I felt like the phone scene with JT trying to play the operator was a bit overdone. Perhaps it was because of all of the shouting from the others, but I felt like they could have made that scene just as funny with less transfer screw-ups on JT's end. Other than that, the episode was another good one. I'm anxious to see how the next episode plays out.

  6. Ir was Heather her, he said her name.

  7. Of course I voted awesome, season three hasn't let me down yet, every episode has knocked it out of the park hitting on all cylinders. Action, comedy, and most of all romance, our Vincat have really matured into a grownup relationship, Tess is adjusting into being Captain, she'd do well to remember that 99 percent of they're cases are beastly related, how quickly do they forget, at least she was there for JT, this great season is winding down. I'm just so excited we have a season four!!!!!

  8. Totally agree on the WOW factor! That is what this love story is suppose to be about.

  9. Awesome episode, we have a great story, and Saul being on tv again that was great.

  10. Yes, JT was talking with Heather, which I didn't understand. Didn't think he was that friendly with Heather. Weird.

  11. It
was a fun and schizophrenic episode but didn’t really add anything to the on-going narrative and the
plot grossly downplayed the significance of
VinCat bonding. If we had 22 episodes than fine but with a short
    season they’d better focusing on
something more engaging. Yet they went
for this sub-plot in a comical attempt to psychoanalyze our main couple whose relationship is going bonkers until they discover how to live happily ever
    after in a single-counselling session . Sort
of “epic love for dummies” for 150 bucks. Season
1 flashback were a nostalgic reminder of
what this show was meant to be and what is
    blatantly missing now. I won't
take this episode too seriously but
it’s time to see glimpse of character development and human
growth in our Beauty because it’s hard for
me to relate to a bulls--t spoiled brat
with no empathy lacking even the most elementary sense of human compassion , abusing an ill old man on a wheelchair to achieve her pathological
sense of entitlement . For a moment I thought I was watching a two-headed snake. Disturbing
beyond any possible sense of purpose .

-It was sad watching JT confiding his fears to Heather . Where is your best friend when you need him ?
-JT&T are getting tedious and a bit contrived . No humor , no party.
-Can they buy a pair of heels fitting KK size , and get rid of that flannel check pj ? It made sense in S1 but now is kind of shabby.
I guess next episode will be much much better.

  14. AWESOME and I mean that! Heart of the Matter aptly titled ~ gave me all my warm fuzzy VinCat feels yayz ♥ unlike last week which was action-packed and moved the plot along nicely yes but this one is more introspective and has the emotional connection that I crave. The thing I love about BATB is how they change up the focus of each episode ~ one week it can be dark and serious ~ next one might be lighter and funny and then action-packed! Props to KK WOAH she even managed to dethrone Jay as my alltime MVP this week because she really made Cat so unlikeable at the party that I wanted to bitchslap her (lawd my man Vincent is a SAINT!) but that's her beastly flaw which has been hinted at several times most recently by Tess last week on what a control freak Cat can be when she wants what she wants! And yes her Catitude stinks when she gets all Robocop but it's because she wants to save her love from having to beast out unnecessarily so aww ~ I forgive you Cat! ♥

I love everything about Season 3 BATB except JTnT as a couple. I wish they had never started as we only have 13 eps. JT's arc with his power is interesting and Tess and can have her struggle with captaincy and how that affects her friendship with Cat. When they overextend their arc into their relationship such as their scene just before the ending of this ep, I feel robbed of my VinCat alonetime that I wanted to see so much more of. Theirs is the only romance that is epic!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh I soooo agree with you. I'm hoping we see more of VinCat alone time and more of their VinCat love scenes. No couple on t.v. does it better than these two.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes, I noticed that Vincent wasn't freezing like Catherine was. I'm guessing it's because he can block out the cold. Special Forces Soldiers are trained to deal with the elements. Also, men are much more muscular than women and that has a lot to do with it too. They seem to tolerate the cold better than women do. You were so right about this episode, Ivan. It had everything and I loved the last scene between VinCat - but then Vincent pulled the covers up over them like a shade (which I thought was cute). I'd like to see more Vincent/Catherine alone time love scenes as the episodes move along. I loved the therapist - and I agree with you - he should be a regular. He'd make a nice addition. I laughed like crazy when all those phone calls were bombing JT and he was transferring them to all the wrong people. I'm wondering what JT's arc is going to be now that he knows he's got this serum that has made him heal fast. Will it effect his mind when these people want to take him out? For some reason, I don't see JTnT as a couple this season - and how are they going to work Tess into Cat's life now that they're not partners anymore. We have a lot to discover in the next upcoming episodes. I have to say, I didn't miss Heather in this one. It was a fantastic episode. Ivan, I hope you give us a synpsis of "Most Dangerous Beast" which is next week's epi. Looks like Vincent really really "Beasted Out" in this one from what the short clip showed.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with some of your points - but so far I've loved everything about S03. I'm hoping to see more Vincent /Catherine alone time love scenes. As I've said before, no couple on t.v. does it like VinCat. I'd also like to see VinCat elope and surprise their friends because under the circumstances with Bob and Carol out there poised to kill them (and especially Catherine) maybe it's the best way for them to go. It could open the door for some VinCat lov'n like we had in S01. I'm just thinking and it's JMO. Other than that, all the things you mentioned need to be factored in again some, but I'm loving S3 anyway. Total addiction for me.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Couldn't agree more on the Vincat love scenes, i need more Season 1 love scenes, i mean we got a tease in this episode now they need to give us the whole 9.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You're welcome and i'll definitely give you a little review of "Most Dangerous Beast" LOL. Vincent looks completely Beasted out in that promo, Season 2 style, it's actually pretty scary. Yeah we need Vincat love scenes, like those GLORIOUS , breath-stopping scenes from Season 1. The phone scene WAS hilarious, still makes me so mad that Vincent keeps calling Catherine "Cat" and i'll never be okay with it. I couldn't care ONE bit about Tess, she needs to get run over by a Rhinoceros superhuman and then throw into the cold vaccum of space LOL. Oh i didn't know Special Ops were trained to handle the elements, that's awesome and pretty superhuman in our mundane boring world. I thought it was just part of his Beast make-up to not feel temperature, well from what i've seen from healers they never turn evil, at least the good ones anyway but this might be different. They should get rid of Tess and replace him with the therapist.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I totally agree, but just one thing - beautiful scenes as the final of episode, could be bigger :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. OMG - we really do need the full 9 on those love scenes. Not saying all the time, but now and then it would be terrific(maybe 2 out of 4 epis?). Those two can really get your adrenaline up when they make out. Vincent seems to go back and forth calling her Catherine and then Cat. I think Vincent calling her "Catherine" was special between them and they should leave it that way. You feel about Tess like how I feel about Heather. I definitely loved the therapist and they could use someone to pull them on track or help with the Bob & Carol problem (knowing how to deal with their power of anticipating what comes next) - he was so funny about not knowing everything, but still being able to see into their problem of co-dependency. He also hit on their very special love for one another. JT was speaking to someone on the phone about his problem and it wasn't Vincent, Catherine or Tess. Who is the person JT is confiding in about his healing powers on the other end of his phone conversation? It must have been someone JT told everything to - did you catch it or was it just me? I'll be looking forward to your review of "Most Dangerous Beat", Ivan. It gets me through the week until Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He talked to Heather! And he said later that he healed faster than Heather could take him to the hospital.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agree totally with the boring rehashing of last seasons 'finding themselves seperately from each other'. Been there, done that, did not like it one bit.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was waiting for somebody to comment on Catherine's outrageous behavior with Solomon and causing him to have a heart attack. She was out of control and way beyond the line. I think Vincent should have physically grabbed and dragged her away.
I do not understand why the writers have Catherine go to these extremes? Is this their idea of a strong woman who 'goes for it' (whatever IT is)? And in the end, she was wrong about Solomon being the 'big bad' anyway. All he did was break protocol about knowing who the heart donor is.
I love Catherine (love KK) and I have forgiven her a lot of snarky things she said to Vincent for example last season, but this was hard to take.

    ReplyDelete
  25. And I also don't get the "only way that Vincent keeps his humanity is if Catherine is there to bring him back" didn't we deal with that last year too and Vincent was able to do that and choose that on his own, yet here we are again! As I said this is a better season already than last season but I don't want it to be a re-hashing of what we already went through to get here.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks for clearing up that mystery for me. I didn't hear him mention Heather and she didn't occur to me because she wasn't in this episode. I guess my mind was on some scientist that JT might know. Can't wait to find out where the story line is going as far as JT is concerned.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I do not have to write how much I enjoyed this episode You nailed it. It was awesome. Yes, next weeks show looks like it is going to be another winner. It looks scary.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Another great episode. Can't say enough great things about this show. I almost gave up on S2 but, it's really so intense and I'm really entertained. I love Vincat

    ReplyDelete
  29. Loved it. Again an impressive episode. Went by way to fast IMO

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ooh, heck yeah and what's with the covers, we needed to see a lot more than a tease like that:) I'm so optimistic we're going to see some good things in the upcoming episodes, fingers and toes crossed:)

    ReplyDelete
  31. She, is really staying true to the warning she gave Vincent after they burned the warehouse when she told him you haven't seen my bad side yet so enjoy it while it last, and boy she didn't lie, she can be something else, as Vincent told her in season two, she's like a dog with a bone!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thank you. This is how I feel. I wish people would stop complaining and be happy they were not cancelled. Hopefully the production of Season 4 is almost complete. And maybe the concerns will be handled in Season 4. Lets wait and have a little patience

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm glad you're enjoying BATB as much as I am and the others on this site. In my opinion, it far surpasses "Arrow" and "The Flash", which seem to be the network's favorites as well as a lot of fans. BATB has everything you would ever want in a series and S03 has been awesome so far. Next week's epi looks like another heart-pounding one. Vincent seems to be totally Beasted out and it does look scary.

    ReplyDelete
  34. All the episodes seem to whiz by so fast. I think it's the sign of a great episode, leaves you wanting to see more.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think everyone who takes the time to comment, though it may not always be 100% positive are happy we got a season 3 and 4 after last season. My problem is that we saw epic in season 1 not so epic in season 2 and now we need the even more epic in season 3. There are good writers and we have amazing actors who can hit every scene out of the ball park: I just want to pick off from where we left off last season and that is having some of these issues we are seeing already dealt with and going forward not filling up the epside with stuff we already dealt with in S2-it'll leave more room for those sweet vincat moments and more explanation about the intriguing new beast experiments.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Maybe they wanted to underline how everybody else was busy with their own stuff and that left only Heather. I think the whole 'throwing himself down the stairs' scene was completely over the top. I mean he could have broken his neck and no serum is going to fix that!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I really did Lol at what you said:)

    ReplyDelete
  38. It was Heather, and thanks LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Broken his neck?! We don't know if he's immortal yet, he could've stabbed himself or shot himself.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I didn't think it was Heather because I didn't think she and JT were close friends. Guess he had to talk to someone about his problem since Tess is now Captain and too busy to talk with JT. Thanks, and enjoy "The Most Dangerous Beast". Even the title has me stumped.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah i was surprised by JT talking to Heather, that title is really scary.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't like the relationship JTess too. I feel she isn't the kind woman for him and there's no chemistry. I think they are better as friends!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can't imagine what is meant by "The Most Dangerous Beast". Does it refer to Vincent or is there something or someone else in the picture? It's got me worried for Vincent. Wonder if we're going to get a steamy VinCat love scene with a title like that in this episode. You're going to find out before I do. Can't wait for your review.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks for saying that, Barbara. I love this show but I almost turned it off this week because she was being so snarky at the beginning. I get that they wanted the episode to be about them finding their happy medium but did they have to turn her into such a shrew to do that? That scene with Solomon was unbelievable.

I'm glad they pulled it out at the end because if I had to endure another week of that I'm not sure I would have been back.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I watched "Heart of The Matter" three times and I'm just cracking up over those scenes when VinCat went to see the therapist - just thought all three were so funny and Vincent, Catherine and Tess calling JT and JT getting everyone connected to the wrong person. I don't know what it is, but I'm finding those scenes hilarious. Maybe this was the funny episode and "The Most Dangerous Beast" is going to be a dark and heart-pounding episode. It's o.k. with me, but I do hope we see some bed action between V&C somewhere in this one. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think it's Bob and Carol's last attempt to take in Vincent to their bosses, i'm losing hope in them giving us steamy as all heck scenes of Vincat. Yeah i guess i will LOL, i'll be sure to give you all can without spoiling you.

    ReplyDelete
  47. LOL, ivan, stabbed would have been something new. Shooting would have been repetitive, but they do like to repeat things, don't they? I always think they must have a special contract with a carpenter and a company which fixes glass doors. Lost count of how often Catherine's door gets kicked in and how often somebody jumps through windows and glass doors. Double LOL:

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am glad that in the end, Catherine realized that she went too far and tried to apologize to Mrs. Solomon - even if she did not receive a positive reaction from her. But that was because Mrs. Solomon only had murder on her mind. Loved how Vincent tried to comfort Catherine by saying 'ouch' - that was cute and very understanding of him. He knows how much it costs her to admit that she was wrong. I love Catherine (and of course the whole show) and I am glad that she finally came to her senses.
Don't give up bj - next week looks awesome. So looking forward to that. Hope to see you in the comment section then.

    ReplyDelete
  49. HA! Totally! I wonder who has spent more money on house repairs? Catherine or the Halliwell sisters LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  50. OMG, yes, that was Brad Kern, too. I liked Charmed and did not mind him at the helm back then, but he really tested my patience in S2 of BATB.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yeah - I think you're right about the steamy scenes. If Sherri and Jennifer were in charge, we'd get them, but this new group of producers doesn't seem to have "the woman's touch". That's what's lacking. I do love Catherine's fight scenes and all the action in these episodes, but the softer side isn't there (shall I say YET - hope it might be coming). So that's what it is - Bob and Carol need to capture Vincent to bring him to the people behind the experiments (he would be a prize catch) and the only way to get to Vincent is through Catherine. It looks like they might have succeeded from that short clip they show. It looks like Vincent is chained and is in full beast mode. I think this is going to be an action packed scary episode (with no room for a steamy bed). I knew it! "Heart of the Matter" made me laugh too much so I had the feeling the next epi was going to be scary and very intense. You have very good insight Ivan. Let me know, just enough and if the ending will be o.k. or I'll have a headache until Thursday. Hang in there, we still might get a steamy scene, especially if the writers or Brad Kern read our posts.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Agree your say about the show and love the Therapist scene just like normal us in life and by the way are you Nikon (Camera ) user ? I am :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yeah he made Charmed the best show it was but NOW? I would gladly go face-face with him and punch him in the face LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Tess doesn't have chemistry with ANYONE.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I love Jay Ryan so I'd never really give up. lol

I'm just glad they solved the problem and I don't have to listen to that shrieking every week.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I agree with you about Kern because that's when BATB went down hill in S2. I'd like to see the exact same steamy things happen in one of these episodes - that would really be a treat. Thanks Ivan, I'll look forward to your review. I'm scared stiff for Vincent.

    ReplyDelete
  57. You know what - had another thought about this next epi. Hope it's not going to be similar to when Cat's bio father trapped Vincent in the net and carted him away. Cat didn't know where he was and was frantically looking for Vincent. I can't go through that despair again and I only hope Catherine gets to Vincent in time. Needlesstosay, it's a very dark episode (at least from the way the clip shows it) and I only hope it doesn't turn out to be another one of those S2 epis. Kern seems to like those dark episodes. A lot of fans here are really going to be pissed of.

    ReplyDelete
  58. You do know that this season is completely finished and they are already halfway through filming season 4, so there will be no changes made in any of the 13 episodes. Brad Kern does NOT listen to any comments - his reaction to complaints about the extremes he went to in season 2 were: 'the fans cannot have candy all the time!' And when the ratings dropped, because of these stupid love triangles, he said in interviews that the ones who were disappointed and walked away were only 'fair weather fans'. So much for the power of the fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I would like some face time with him, too, to ask him a few questions about S2. Like why it was necessary to have Vincent cheat on Catherine a second time with a statuesque redhead. Why establish a pattern like that. So, he actually prefers tall redheads to the petite brunette that is supposed to be his 'epic' love? And why he made Catherine second choice AGAIN. The first redhead freaked and the second one died, so he falls back on his second choice AGAIN: Catherine.
And then I would like to ask him why it was necessary for Catherine to apologize to the 'one whose name we will never mention again' for daring to remember that he tried to kill her and Vincent. I could not believe my ears when the writers made her 'grovel' for forgiveness.
That's just for starters, I have a hundred more....

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yep - I know S3 is finished, and Brad Kern doesn't care what anyone says - he's running the show and it's going to be done his way. I've stuck with BATB because I love this cast and the chemistry between Jay and Kristin. I know they're filming season 4 now so who knows if we'll get a season 5. Personally I think S4 will be the last and I'm hoping it's going to be just as good as S3 has been so far. It remains to be seen what happens as we move into S4.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Same here: love the cast, especially KK (fangirling here LOL). They hooked me in the pilot in the subway when he pulled her from the oncoming train and they looked at each other and she said: 'It's you!' Lost from then on and the addiction is growing every day. I might get upset and frustrated and scream at my tv - did that a lot in S2 - but I am here for the long haul even if I have some issues sometimes - also with S3. But that is just because I love it so much that I want it to do well and be the best it could be. I know that I have to lighten up and ignore the stupid plots riddled with plot holes and I know that I have to forget Vincent's powers that are sometimes there and sometimes not, depending if they are convenient for that particular writer or not. It is just hard to do that sometimes. Looking forward to the next episode, because it really looks good from the promos. Nice talking to you.

    ReplyDelete
  62. No i saw a press release with Vincent okay.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Completely 100% agree!

    ReplyDelete
  64. We sure suffered through Season 2. Glad you didn't give up on BATB though ~ good for you! Season 3 is off to a fantastic start for VinCat ♥

    ReplyDelete
  65. Barbara, I know how you feel because I'm with you all the way and feel the same. I sometimes hope the writers can see what the fans are talking about and maybe pick up some hints about where we'd like BATB to go and what we want to see more of. It gets me crazy too when the holes are there and I can't understand how these writers don't see that. I hated S2, but I had to hang in there all the way because I'm so addicted to this series. It's different than all the other shows the CW is carrying, some of which are really stupid. I want BATB to do really well so we can have maybe 6 seasons - that would be nice, but I know I'm dreaming. I don't think Brad Kern plans to do that and I know BATB is not his favorite show. It just brought out the fact that Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin were the brains behind this show and like I've said in previous posts, the "woman's touch" isn't there anymore since Sherri and Jennifer had to step back. The show has a tremendous amount of female fans internationally. S1 was what every woman dreams about in the way of a romantic relationship because Vincent is a handsome hunk who could turn into a beast when provoked, they met in the subway where he saved Catherine from the oncoming train, he held her in his arms and they looked at each other when she said "It's you", and I was gone. That's what made us get addicted to this series. Of all the t.v. shows who have "their couples", KK and Jay have tremendous chemistry like no other, which further locked us in. Favorites of the CW like Arrow and The Flash, have a lot of dumb scenes, but yet their ratings are high and Kern seems to favor them a lot. I had to laugh at Arrow's season finale when Oliver and Felicity (who by the way, have no chemistry at all) drove off into the sunset. When you look at what their fans have to say those two shows get five star ratings. It makes me sick that BATB has a really great storyline, but some of these writers they have butcher it. See - now I'm off on another one of my crazy tangents because I'm nuts over BATB.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh, it was a press release.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I could discuss with you and ivan all day, we are on the same page. Jenny and Sherri were booted out by BK, just like he kicked the creator of Charmed off the set after 2 seasons. It seems that they were opposed to pairing Catherine with the slimebag (sorry, nothing against Sendhil - just the character), but they were overruled and later tweeted 'he is growing on us'. Kinda shows you that they did not like the idea at first at all. I mean, they had the guy riddled with bullets from a high-powered rifle and the idea that a defibrilator can cure torn arteries and shredded organs is just too preposterous - even for a fantasy series. That was all BK's idea, At the beginning of S2 he said that 'this guy' was every mother's dream son-in-law and that it would only be realistic for Catherine to 'explore' this rich, good-looking guy. I cannot imagine any universe - real or fantasy - where a SANE woman would ever start a relationship with the very man who kidnapped her at gunpoint to lure her boyfriend to his death and is directly responsible for her losing him. Only an insane woman would do that - and don't anybody try to tell me that he was redeemed, because I don't care. He can redeem himself all he wants, there is no forgiveness for attempted murder and the REAL Catherine would never have done that. BK completely changed her character and gave HER amnesia in order to push his crazy love triangle through. Oh, I am still so bitter, I could go on and on, but it does not change anything, so I am going to stop ranting FOR NOW.

  68. You rant all you want because the three of us are on the exact same page. I'll never forgive BK for what he did to S2. I have the DVD for S1, but I can't buy the DVD for S2 because I found it so stupid and disgusting. Pushing Catherine to that beastly slimebag was disgusting and resurrecting him from being riddled with bullets was the most ridiculous thing any story line could have had. Meanwhile they carted Vincent away. BK was determined to break up VinCat and it looked like he was wanting to hook them up with other people for good. That's when all the fantasy and romance between two star-crossed lovers happened. I'm as bitter as you are. Now he's turning it into some comedy series and that's never been what BATB has been about. The fact that Sherri and Jennifer are no longer at the controls is the problem. I don't know where our beloved BATB is going to end up. Although I have enjoyed these first four episodes of S3, I want this storyline to turn around fast and put where it belongs - fantasy/romance/mystery/intrigue. I'm hoping they get BK out before it's too late. As we move along into the upcoming episodes, we'll be better able to determine what's going to happen. It does look as though Mark Pedowitz knew where the fans were coming from and gave us S3, but I don't think BK wanted it renewed. We'll see, and hopefully it won't turn into a disaster. You're not alone in the "bitter over BATB" department, so many of the fans are. Rant away - at least it's good to get it all out even though nothing can be done to change anything. We've all been affected the same way. Maybe BK will be written out in the last epi of S3 - but that's really asking for the moon.

  69. Thanks. My sentiments exactly. I love this show. I'm ecstatic that we got season 3 and 4, and I've never complained about the show before. That doesn't mean I'm going to rubber stamp every episode and vote awesome when I didn't like the beginning of this episode. And I should have the right to say what I didn't like about it without being labelled a "complainer".

  70. Unfortunately, he is back to writing S4 and he had Catherine Ashton tweet to the fans that it will be the 'most romantic season of all'. Well, his idea of romance is scary, so we don't know what to expect, but I am still hoping for the best.
You know the back cover of the DVD of S2 has a title over the short description of what is going on and it says: EVERYTHING GOOD IS GONE and sadly, it really is. But enough of this. In a few hours, the next episode will be aired and unless the promo is completely wrong, it should be good. Ivan and I will give you a few highlights.

  71. Love the term rubber stamp as just because we miraculously got a season 3 and 4 ( beasties pat yourself on the back for that one) doesn't mean, in my view, the show runner is off the hook. After last season there is a lot to make up for and reiterating what we went through doesn't cut it. He has a chance to redeem himself by going back to the way season 1 was presented. It wasn't perfect either but the combination of epic romance humour intrigue and danger worked. I really want to see epic romance in every sense of the word AND find out about the new threats etc. I'm enjoying the episodes but we are still.bot there yet. I will continue to watch as I love KK and JR and NK and SB ND NBA., but I won't be spouting sunshine and roses just because the show is still on the air- I truly believe it's because of the beasties and the actors and most of the crew.

  72. Wow - sounds like BK is having fun taunting us with his sick sense of humor. I didn't know the back cover of S2's DVD said that - how true. He's determined to kill this show or change it completely from what it was meant to be. I'll never buy S2 - it was awful and not BATB at all. What a mean person he is. Thanks for the info. You guys enjoy the episode tonight and I'll look forward to you and Ivan giving me a few of the highlights. Got my fingers crossed it's going to be an exciting episode..

  73. We should meet here in this thread again, beause this site will not put anything up about the new episode until much later. So, see you here tomorrow. Since I am in Europe, the time difference will come into play. Maybe Ivan will be faster. LOL.

  74. O.K., sounds good, we'll meet here tomorrow. I'm on the East Coast in the U.S. so I won't see it until Thursday that's why I depend on Ivan to give me a birdseye view and your review too will be great. I like this site even better than Twitter. See you here tomorrow. LOL

  75. Good morning Buffygirl. Well, it was a great episode and you will love it - I did. There are some issues - of course there are - but nothing major. Our VinCat is behaving NORMAL again, Catherine is NOT going beast and they are both kicking ass and in the end they are both safe and have a wonderful tender moment. But nothing steamy, not even close. Sorry, I do not think that we will get anything like 'Any Means Possible' ever again. BK does not know how to do this kind of stuff. Her new partner is actually cute, but he got hurt, so we will probably not see him again. JT saves Vincent and thereby helps himself.

Okay, not saying any more - this will have to tide you over till Thursday.

  76. Good morning Barbara. I just woke up and went immediately to my computer to find out what you and Ivan had to say about "Most Dangerous Beast". So we still don't know who the Big Bad is. I knew they're not going to keep Catherine with a new partner, just had a feeling about that. BK isn't going to give us those steamy S1 scenes because he knows that's what we're dying to see and he's going to keep us hoping to get one in one of these S3 episodes. I guess he just doesn't believe in passionate love, action, fantasy, mystery all rolled into an episode. This is where BK keeps making his mistake. Are we going to see JT more now that his arc seems to have closed and he's back to being JT? I know you can't answer that without giving something away. I'm just happy that Cat is back to being "kick-ass Cat" at least we're getting that back again. You and Ivan did a great job of giving just enough information to get me through to Thursday. Thanks you guys - you did a great job of saying just enough without saying too much. I'm going to look forward to hearing from you and Ivan as we move along . It's good not to be alone with our disappointments in BATB. While I still love it, we still aren't getting the old BATB (Yet?)
