  2. I saw the movie today and loved it. Amazing cast/characters, action scenes and I enjoyed the story from start to finish. Hopefully, they'll do a sequel in the near future.

  3. Is there a mid-credit scene and a post-credit scene or just a post-credit scene?

  4. It has been confirmed that there is both a mid-credit and post-credit scene! yay.

  5. Really excited and curious about Ant-Man.It looks like it'll be fun to watch and I really like Paul Rudd. Wonder how much of a success it'll be.It's always interesting when Marvel introduces new characters, especially in solo films.Unfortunately,I have to wait till early September to catch it in theaters.
I did however cave and watched the post-credit scene, which everyone is getting crazy about. Couldn't help myself..

Just got back from seeing it, loved it! Jokes are on point and the action is actually really good.

    SPOILERS:

Anyone else catch Hope's reference to 'A man that crawls on walls'? Spider-Man is already around :)

  13. I'll have to wait to see it sadly. This weekend's no good.

  14. Just saw a video that says that line was written before Sony made the deal to share Spiderman, I guess it was just a BIG coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sadly, I missed the post-credit scenes because my friends are idiots and wanted to leave. But I heard it was something Civil War related?

    ReplyDelete
  16. The movie was great, I always liked Paul Rudd, and I think he's perfect for this role.
Evangeline Lily and Michael Douglas did a fantastic job as well.
Mainly, it was a fun movie, the fight at the end was hilarious.
And finally, my shallow comment would be "damn, Paul Rudd got in real shape! Who knew?"

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes, it was to do with Civil War.

SPOILERS FOR POST CREDITS SCENE BELOW

In the scene, Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson have Bucky Barnes in their custody and they can't get in contact with Tony Stark. Then Wilson states that he knows someone that could help.

  18. Yeah I read that too. However, the director just stated that it IS a Spider-Man reference. It was appearantly added just after the deal with Sony was made and when the movie was almost done shooting.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Who knows with these people. Let's go with Spider-man reference then.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Cool, thank you so much!

  21. ANTONY!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Just got back from it. It was awesome! One of the top tier ones of Marvel. Definitely a bit odder, and the first half was a bit slow, but the second was a combination of hilarious and awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  23. They also mentioned "a man who swings" so that works too right?

    ReplyDelete
  24. How much did you cry during Antony's yo know...?

    ReplyDelete
  25. LOL, and i really thought Lang would find Hope's mom in the subatomic world.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That was definitely the saddest part. I wanted that guy to pay!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I REALLY wanted Pym to have saved him and Antony having mechanical wings but dang it!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. who was driving? If you, always say yea you can go out and wait for me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can you write a eulogy for Antony?

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL If only...No, we took a bus, but great advice, I'll keep that in mind for next time ;)
But I got to say to them "I told you so", because they thought there wasn't a post-credit scene. Still, thanks to STV, I know what happened now.

  31. Ahhh I loved it!!! All the MCU connections like Peggy, Howard and Sam but also I loved Scott so much, Paul Rudd was amazing in that role. I loved Hope as well, so glad she is going to be The Wasp. They dealt with Hank's character really well, in the comics he has a very unfortunate background - at one point he was abusive and hit Janet. I'm so glad they left that out and instead made him this mentor figure, and gave him well erm hope that he can find his wife again.

Also thought that Cassie was adorable, hope in like Phase 5 she gets to be a Young Avenger like the comics.

Oh and Scott's criminal buddies were so much fun especially Luis.

  32. Has everyone seen the online videos with Christine Everhart who was the reporter in the Iron Man movies? Its a cool way to bring back that character, hope we see her in more MCU things.

Antony was a vibrant ant, one who lit up the room whenever he entered. And right up until his death, Antony was full of joy, always eager to help out, no matter the problem or situation at hand.

Being an ant, Antony didn't have much in life. Oh...he had his sugar cubes and thousands upon thousands of friends, but it wasn't until he found a new sense of purpose that his life really took on true meaning.

Antony had a love of water droplets, in particular, being fed them by hand. He'd always find time to force Scott to feed him a droplet or 3, not that Scott minded...much.

In regards to Antony's closest friend Scott, they loved to travel together. Alongside cars, inside an Avengers base and many other places. You couldn't keep these 2 caged up, and they were proud of that fact.

The last journey they took together was one of grave importance. Antony gave his life in the line of duty, without his sacrifice, we would all not be here today.

My lasting memories of Antony are simple: A hard-working ant, passionate yet graceful who never waned in his support for others, even when times were tough.

We all share sadness over the loss of beloved Antony. Thank you Antony for the experience you gave us all. Together we all know now, that you are in that sugar cube kingdom in the sky.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thank you LOL, he was all that and more and he was the greatest friend and partner anyone should have. Other people should strive to be just like Antony was to Scott.

    ReplyDelete
  36. How much did you hate what happened to the BEST partner and friend ever: Antony?

I believe that's a Thor reference (as in he swings his hammer). Her wording makes it sound like they're 2 different characters.

"We've got one that jumps, we've got one that swings and we've got one that crawls up the walls"

    Jumps = Hulk
    Swings = Thor
Crawls up the walls = Spider-Man

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh that makes more sense, speaking of that conversation were we supposed to be confused by Luis' "Yes"? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Christopher DeBonoJuly 20, 2015 at 7:16 AM

Eh yeah. It's pretty much just Falcon asking around for Ant-Man and word traveling. (Considering the teaser for Civil War, it sounds like they made contact but he hasn't joined the Avengers yet since Cap doesn't seem to know Ant-Man yet).

    ReplyDelete
  40. So much so. But I hope he is OK, like maybe Hank can create a new wing for him? Did we actually see him die? I need to focus on it when I watch it again. I'm all about Antony!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, Sam said "the accords".

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah i really hope so!!!! But since we didn't see him at the end, i doubt it, but the rule still counts right? "No Body, No Death"

    ReplyDelete
  43. ACtually Steve says DONT call Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Exactly, no one truly dies. Anthony must be able to fly another day.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sad news, just read an interview with the director and he confirms Anthony is dead :(

Last question: Ant-Man's trusted flying ant-steed Antony collides with a bullet fired by the villainous Cross. Is he really dead?

I'm here to report that Antony is dead.

    You monster.

But look, here's the bright side: The average lifespan of a carpenter ant is maybe 12 weeks, tops — more likely, 6 to 8. I feel like he really lived his life to the fullest. He literally made a name for himself. He'll be looked back on very fondly.

I guess its a good point about how long ants live but still Anthony, time to mourn!

    ReplyDelete
  46. He lived his like a hero until end, every hero should strive like Antony did, Tony should have a statue made in his honor, it stinks that he died!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Awesome movie! The whole movie had a very interesting concept and the whole idea with The Tank, the integration of Agent Carter's Implosion bombs (or whatever they are called), plus the subatomic shrinking was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Which death was worse: Quicksilver in AoU or Antony? :D

    ReplyDelete
  49. Definetely awesome. I think it was smart they didn't include the "Ant-Man" name dissing in the movie, just the trailers :) (The movie didn't have Scott saying: "Just one question - is it too late to change the name?" And when Falcon said "Ant Man?" Scott didn't say "Iron Man was taken" :D but it was the funniest Marvel movie and thank god ANT-MAN WILL RETURN!!!
