Limitless - SpoilerTV Comic-Con Interview with Jake McDorman and Hill Harper
13 Jul 2015
Comic-Con LimitlessThe star of the TV series "Limitless" made the rounds at Comic-Con this year. Jake McDorman plays Brian, a young man who discovers how a mysterious drug called NZT can amplify his brain power. The FBI then uses his extraordinary cognitive abilities to help them solve complex cases. The show is based on the feature film. Jennifer Carpenter and Hill Harper co-star as FBI special agents. And Bradley Cooper recurs as his film character, Edward Mora.
McDorman and Harper met with the press at Comic-Con to answer questions about the show. They talked to us about the premise, the main character's addiction, how Bradley Cooper's character changes from the end of the film, and how the series is similar to a superhero show.
"Limitless" debuts Sept. 22 on CBS after the premieres of "NCIS" and "NCIS: New Orleans."

Really cool that you went to Comic-Con and did all these interviews Tonya! Must have been quite an experience!
ReplyDeleteIt really was, Daniel! My days were full (and tiring) but what a great experience!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are so sweet DarthLocke4! Thank you so much. And glad you enjoyed the interviews.
ReplyDeleteWish Jennifer was at SDCC instead of Hill Harper, whose character I found pretty boring in the pilot. And I found it kinda funny (and weird) that he was the one who started answering the questions first, not Jake, who is the lead of the series.
ReplyDeleteI also feel like they might add one or two more regulars to the cast. 4 is a small number for a procedural.
Thanks, omabin! I think the show could be really good. I liked the pilot. And I think Jake McDorman is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYa, it does seem like the cast is a little thin. I'm hoping since Brian's character has a big family (unlike Eddie Morra's character in the film), that we would see the likes of Blair Brown, Ron Rifkon, and the actors that play his other siblings here and there (it would be bring a nice human element to contrast the adrenaline thriller parts)....but I also think the shows is going to need some interesting reoccurring characters, if it wants to follow through on uncovering the origins of the drugs and/or have some kind of specific bad guys to deal with besides Eddie Morra and random cases of the week...
ReplyDeleteI think that would be great to see more of his family. I really like how they included them in the pilot. You're so right - it would bring a nice human element to the show. But like you say, it will probably also need some interesting recurring characters.
