Just Re-watched trailers for these 3 shows and Blindspot and especially Minority Report have huge potential. I really hope they will focus on bigger main story instead of some weekly cases
I don't think it will completely be. I'm am not saying that it won't have some procedural episodes, but it clearly wants to explore and expand on the mythology presented in the film with the updated pill and by having Bradley Cooper reprise his role and reoccur and perhaps be a bit of a villain here???
I think it might operate like Person of Interest. The film had so much to offer, but just didn't have the time to go to certain places. Eddie even mentions the idea if man is inherently "evil" in this trailer, something the film never got around to asking when characters were on the pill---they have an opportunity to explore how maybe the pill effects different people with different backgrounds differently---Brain, unlike Eddie has a family he really cares about when he gets into this, and Eddie was a complete looser no family when he started taking his version...
He def comes off that way, but it might be too early to tell. I mean Eddie Morra was never really a "good" character in the film either, but the difference is we had yet to see him rise to a point where he was politically motivated to threaten and pick on other people. If they writers are smart, they will have Eddie still be between a rock and hard place too---there is a lot of room to expand and explore the whole history of the pills and all the people who could have taken either version and/or any group that uses them, because they have some kind of world domination agenda...
I'm more concerned about it for Minority Report since they changed the plot a bit. They originally were going to have the lead actor also play his twin brother. Now they have cast somebody else to play his brother. It's like they think the audience is stupid and that we all can't follow or enjoy the confusion of doppelgängers, which I love doppelgängers and thus this irritates me a bit!
He was a guy who was down on his luck. He was once married. Had previously been on drugs. Was currently clean and trying to write a novel, but had writer's block until he runs into his former brother in law who gave him a new pill that makes one really smart...
When Eddie goes to meet him in his apartment, he finds him dead, but he finds his stash and takes the pills and becomes an over night success. He's only a protagonist in the sense that he's an ordinary guy that gets thrown into a very dangerous world. A world where people are fighting for these pills, a world where the pills had tremendous side effects, a world where other people are also on the pills and can really "compete" with you, and a world that to be that successful, one tends to make enemies and/or has to align with other dangerous people.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
"video no longer exists" - did it reach its limit?
ReplyDeleteIntrigued. Can't wait to see how they plan to explore this further along.
ReplyDeleteSeems something went wrong. I'll re-upload and posted again. Try again in 5 mins
ReplyDeleteNot sure about this show. I'm afraid it will be just a plain old procedural by episode 2.
ReplyDeleteExctly what i am afraid of with Limitless + Blindspot
ReplyDeleteTry now. Had to load it into a different player. It might take a few seconds to start/buffer as the video is quite large.
ReplyDeleteBradley Cooper is the Big Bad right? Hero in the move, villain in the show?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try this but I'm really not feeling that lead guy. Not liking the cast is something I'm saying way too often about these new shows :/
ReplyDeleteAnd Minority Report

a procedural would just ruin limitless for me, but id settle for something like poi.

ReplyDeleteI just want to know if Blair Brown and Ron Rifkin and Bryan's siblings will reoccur!!???

ReplyDeleteIt actually looks better than i thought. I'll be checking it out.
ReplyDeleteOk, so is Bradley Cooper going to be in this? I mean, I'm watching either way, but it would be so cool...
ReplyDeleteSo why exactly did he deserve to be rooted for?
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for this!!
