OMG - just got the promo for next week's episode - looks like this superhuman has Catherine. He tells Vincent "Come with me or your bride dies". Ivan, you have got to give us some hints when you see this episode on Sunday.
Somehow I don't think you could be that mean Barbara. You were right on the money when you said I'd love "Chasing Ghosts" - so you guys can't fail me now. Just a few hints about "Both Sides Now" or I'll turn into a bucket of tears. Thanks.
Don't worry, dear, we will spoil you a little bit. Could not be responsible for you having to cry 'buckets of tears'. I am loving this promo, it gives us the impression that they might be already married. They are standing in front of somebody looking very official and later Catherine says: 'until death do us part, right?' and Vincent confirms it. BUT, promos lie and are very cleverly put together to mislead us - that is part of the fun. So looking forward to the next episode, too. Seems that I am getting that old 'being excited for every episode' feeling back.
I'm getting that "old" feeling back too and that promo has me nuts. You're right, you can't trust the promos because they put in clips that make it seem it's going in one direction, but then when the episode is on, it's totally different. This one "Both Sides Now" looks very exciting and maybe they have gotten married or on the other hand, maybe it's not for real - YET - but they just want to draw out that crazy superhuman dressed in the hoodie. Whatever happens, I hope it's a thrill ride.
OMG - if they give us a steamy VinCat scene we'll be walking on Cloud 9. I hope so and it possibly may happen since they're supposedly pretending they're married and on a honeymoon to draw Hoodie out. I thought it looked like they were at Niagara Falls when that crazy Hoodie Superhuman seems to have Catherine sort of hostage and tells Vincent to go with him or his bride dies.
It DID look like Niagara Falls, huh i just noticed that LOL, one of the most romantic places on Earth and instead they're being threatened, they can't catch a break can they? I'm not holding my breath for a steamy Vincat scene but i hope so!
Yeah, you are right. I watched the extended promo on Canadian tv now and they are really being hunted by Hoodie Goon and JT is under the thumb of 2 bodyguards. Cannot figure out if they are good guys put there by Homeland Security or your 'favorate' character - who shall remain unnamed - or if he is rather being guarded by the baddies.
Even if Vincent and Catherine are trying to draw out that superhuman Hoodie, they might as well take advantage of the moment to be together and be like they're on a honeymoon at Niagara Falls. Catherine has just seen her mom's tape that told her to find love and be happy. Well, this is their moment so maybe we might get that steamy scene. It sure fits into this episode nicely doesn't it? I really hope it's just not another tease because this is a perfect setting for a steamy love scene before all hell breaks out with the Hoodie guy.
You guys who will watch it tonight don't have to be on pins and needles like we who have to wait for Thursday. Let me know how right I am (I really don't think I'm all that right) because you know this show, you might think something is going to happen one way and it ends up going in another direction. I'll faint if you tell me I'm even somewhat right. Keep me posted and enjoy the show. Better fasten your seat belts.
Well, they are getting married without interruption in the last episode. That at least looks like a happy ending, but of course, since we have season four, it could also end with a cliff hanger.
Ok are you ready for the BEST EPISODE OF THE SEASON?!!!!!!!!!! BUT i'll give the downside first, i give up finally on the show giving us steamy as hell scenes between Vincat. Now for the pros,
Ivan, are you sure THIS was the best episode to date? I do not want frantic Catherine back. This was was not our beloved Catherine and it is further damaging her character. I keep saying that Brad Kern hates the character of Catherine and it is so showing in this episode. If this has fatal consequences she will be in hot water with IA and could get suspended or thrown off the force. Too much violence in this episode overall. More loving less fighting would be better.
As much as I do like some of the violence, I don't want it to consume this show. The love between VinCat is the important thing. Being a cop should just stay her job and if she's being consumed and becoming out of control over it, it's not going to be good for the BATB we knew and loved. I'm a bit disappointed going into this one.
I agree with you Barbara. This is not what we want to see in Catherine. If she gets thrown off the force, then the whole BATB that we knew from S1 is gone. Like I said, the main thing in this story is the love Vincent and Catherine have for each other, not violence and mayhem around them constantly. Brad Kern just doesn't get the story from S1. We now have them engaged, but Catherine has turned into a worry wart, frantic cop who has put the romance in her life on a back burner somewhere. It certainly isn't in keeping with the way the story is supposed to unfold. Brad Kern seems to be going overboard with the violence leaving no room for intimate loving between VinCat. If he wrote this episode, then he should be told to stay out from writing anything further for this series. Gillian Horvath wrote "Chasing Ghosts" and to me she knows where the episodes should be going. I like some action, but this episode sounds like the action is over the top. It's definitely not what BATB is about. I have the feeling that S4 is the last season for what could have been a great series.
I liked the episode. A lot ! The Niagara elopement was fantastic, And if I were Cat I would have killed Julianne .Her reaction did make sense to me. At least this time.
Well now that you put it that way maybe not, but i think it's because i would've done the same thing that Catherine did. But you really think IA will get wind of this, this wasn't a "normal" case and it should be in IA's radar.
Well i guess i'm the odd one out that loved this episode, Catherine's actually more into the wedding starting this episode. I hope you'll still enjoy the episode, among the violence it's very romantic until the inevitable moment that everything goes to hell.
Oh so i'm NOT alone, i would've done the same thing as well, i mean it was hard to watch but that B with an itch deserved every bit of it, and you're right, THIS time it made sense. Were you surprised she was the Big Bad?
I don't think we're going to be getting a lot of romance like in S1. BK is taking more into the violence and action genre. That's o.k., but lacking the romance isn't what this series was about. I'm going to settle in and enjoy S3, but I'm not expecting the romance and steamy scenes we had in S1. I think you had better forget about seeing that from here on in - it's being run by a man and we're not going to get the signs and swoons of what we had in S1. BK wants to get the ratings up and I suspect that's his plan to do just that. As long as the episodes are suspenseful and interesting, I'll be happy. Haven't seen "Both Sides Now" yet, but I'm certainly looking forward to it. Thanks, Ivan for all the info - it gets me to Thursday easier.
I think this episode got my guy demographic out of me LOL because i loved the action scenes in the episode.I'll say this again, the Big Bad is surprising in many ways, if you don't get it, i'll explain it Thursday, is that okay?
You know me Ivan - I love a lot of action too, and I'm into the guy demographic, but not all the way for BATB. I know you love the feminine side of it too, but I'll be very surprised if BK brings it back. I can't wait to see if I figure out who the Big Bad is, and will probably be very surprised. I might have to trouble you to explain it, because sometimes there's a lot of stuff these writers can get you confused about. You know, another movie I'm crazy about too is the Bourne trilogy which was strictly a guy movie, but it was fantastic. I'm really looking forward to Thursday's epi. I'll be happy with all the action.
I was just getting a little bit suspicious, because 'she who will not be named' said to Catherine that she had to check Juliana in under her real name. That could or could NOT mean something, it just got my radar up. And yes, you are right, I might have done that too and there is no mercy for this b...ch, but Catherine is a cop and since police brutality is a theme in the US at the moment, it might NOT be swept under the carpet so easily. Maybe I am being paranoid?
Okay thanks, i thought i was the odd probably LITERAL odd man out LOL, i think you're right, i don't think we can count her her as the Big Bad. The Big Bad would be the one trying to stop her, the person she wanted to Catherine to tell her about.
Maybe the writers knew it should be about time they revealed who the Big Bad is/are? We're into the 7th episode so I think it would be about time we found out - right? Wonder if this Big Bad is going to be in S4 too? My big question is - Are Vincent and Catherine ever going to have a wedding?
I think you're right about that - I was thinking the same thing. BK is going to make us languish for a wedding to take place, but he's going to drag out when it will happen. Tomorrow I get to see "Both Sides Now" and the Big Bad. Can't wait to be hit in the face with it since there's no build up to who this is. Exciting to say the least.
"Both Sides Now" was a very good episode. We finally came face to face with the Big Bad. I don't blame Catherine for beating Julianna senseless. Personally, I would have killed Julianna and eliminated her permanently because she was a killer. Julianna is a lethal bitch and she would have killed both Vincent and Catherine. She wasn't happy that her superhuman assassins, Bob and Carol, were dead. Catherine wasn't able to help Vincent since he was drugged and Julianna's superhuman enhanced "robot guy" was standing guard. It was a damn good thing that JT followed a lead to the lab and found Heather and did what he did for Vincent. Heather should never have been told about Vincent being a beast because she blabs her big mouth about him. It was a big mistake for her to know about him. If it wasn't for JT, Vincent would have died and Julianna would have killed Catherine as well. I'm not happy at all with Tess. She didn't give a crap that both Catherine and Vincent were in grave danger, she just wanted JT to put her first and not rescue Vincent. I'm beginning to hate "Captain Tess" and I think her promotion has gone to her head. All in all, it was a very interesting episode and I do want to see Vincent and Catherine have a beautiful wedding with all the trimmings, which may or may not take place next week.
I told you it was a great episode, Heather's not a fighter like Catherine and Vincent, the same thing would've happened if JT were in her position. Were you surprised that the Big Bad was a woman and they basically stopped her right away? So are you sitting comfortably and sipping champagne in the "Hate Tess" train? LOL. I honestly thought Catherine DID kill her until they showed her in the hospital bed, i mean for all we know she may NOT wake up.
She shouldn't wake up - she's a killer and better off permanently eliminated. Remember the chaos and death this woman is responsible for. Tess really surprised me - talk about selfish. She didn't even think about Catherine and the danger her best friend was in. She just wanted JT to put her before Vincent and Catherine. It's almost as if Tess is very jealous of Vincent. JT is better off without Tess. The way Tess acted in this episode, I'm definitely on the "Hate Tess" train. JT should go back to working at the University and meet up with Sarah again. I was surprised the Big Bad turned out to be a woman, thought for sure it was a good looking man with white hair and well dressed, very distinguished looking man who would turn out to be the Big Bad. This time it was a woman. Julianna is insane and it's best she's been stopped. Apparently, there's someone else out there who will probably rear his/her ugly head at some point who will be conducting illegal experiments. I was surprised at how much Vincent wants a romantic and beautiful wedding. Catherine is the one who wasn't into a feminine beautiful wedding, but I think she now wants one too. I really hope we get to see them have a wedding - Vincent is so handsome in a tux and Catherine is going to be a beautiful bride. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed.
I DO remember but Catherine went to town on her and she felt guilty, "white hair, well dressed" you kind of just described Reynolds LOL. Yeah Julianna needed to be stopped at all costs, i think the second Big Bad is confirmed as a male because Julianna said "he" when she talked about him. Yeah Vincent being a complete romantic caught me off guard, Catherine ALWAYS looks beautiful LOL.
There's still something about Reynolds that bothers me. If you ask me HE's the one that's still working on Vanessa's formula. He has an awful lot of books in that jail cell of is - what's he reading up on anyway. HE might very well be who Juliana is referring to. I do have a question, was Reynolds actually married to Vanessa? How did Vanessa get involved with Thomas Chandler and he must have married her even though he knew she was going to have another man's baby. I wish they'd tell us a little something about that. This is why Catherine doesn't think "big wedding" the way Vincent does. Her parents weren't like his because of the baggage they carry, but I think she gets why Vincent wants the church wedding now.
It's probably going to be another shocker as to who Liam is. He could be a Judge or someone that's high up. Whoever he is, Juliana was afraid of him. We're probably going to be very surprised again by who this person turns out to be.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
OMG - just got the promo for next week's episode - looks like this superhuman has Catherine. He tells Vincent "Come with me or your bride dies". Ivan, you have got to give us some hints when you see this episode on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteOk i definitely will LOL
ReplyDeleteNaaa, Ivan, we will leave them hanging. (Just kidding, dear)
ReplyDeleteTought about it for a second actually, but that'd be way mean LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this next episode. Suspense is killing me.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I don't think you could be that mean Barbara. You were right on the money when you said I'd love "Chasing Ghosts" - so you guys can't fail me now. Just a few hints about "Both Sides Now" or I'll turn into a bucket of tears. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to put you into the mean superhuman category. LOL
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, dear, we will spoil you a little bit. Could not be responsible for you having to cry 'buckets of tears'. ReplyDeleteThat works LOL, but don't worry i'll give you everything you know.
ReplyDeleteI get that, by the the time i give you hints, you'll be okay.
ReplyDeleteIt's the latter, the press release says that they get out of the city draw out Hoodie Superhuman.
ReplyDeleteIt's a plan to draw out Hoodie Superbeast.
ReplyDeleteOMG - if they give us a steamy VinCat scene we'll be walking on Cloud 9. I hope so and it possibly may happen since they're supposedly pretending they're married and on a honeymoon to draw Hoodie out. ReplyDeleteThis season it has been awesome. I hope they have a happy ending
ReplyDeleteYeah it's because of that HORRIBLE character that needs to DIE a slow and painful death! Canada still gives promos, i thought they stopped?
ReplyDeleteHoly... you are all kinds of right!!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys who will watch it tonight don't have to be on pins and needles like we who have to wait for Thursday.
