ReplyDeleteI actually can't watch this stuff yet but I saw the highlights on CBR so I figured it was apt.

ReplyDeleteThe more I hear about LoT the more I love it. The concept is so cool "The Avengers meets Ocean's 11" can't wait to see this pilot. As for Arrow I've been waiting for this part of the story for about as long as I been waiting for my girl Laurel to take her place as Black Canary so Ollie finally becoming Green Arrow (for me) has been a long time coming. Finally Neal will kick ass as Damien Darkh that actor is a true win for this show.
ReplyDeleteDamien sounds good so far, but I'm always careful when I hear Marc praising a story, development or character.
ReplyDeleteI really look forward to the show to return and go back to old glory.
Really looking forward to Neal's performance as Damien. He's played a baddie before, so I have no doubt that he won't be entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI bet that AoS comic will be better than the show.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm still betting that the flashbacks on Arrow end at episode 100 now. If Arrow continues into a sixth season, then I can't see the flashbacks ending on some parallel to what could be the fifth season/series finale, so I'm sure something big will happen on the 100th episode and it'll be the end of the flashbacks. What else could you do with Ollie when he's back on the island just growing his beard out? Lol.
I wouldn't be surprised to learn he started growing out the beard and hair months earlier and just rolled around in the mud before the convenient rescue. It's possible there could be a story on the island in the final season. There was a temple in the background of one of the shots in season 2 (I think or season 1). Plus there were Ivo's prisoner survivors who were still on the island. Anatoly and the others were still there. At some point they must have been rescued.
ReplyDeleteYeah that sounds about right the flashbacks ending mid-season in S5. I use to think that the 100th episode was about the intro to GA but since that's happening in S4. I think the 100th episode will have to find another big/pivotal moment n stopping the flashbacks would be good especially if they tie it up with him realizing he needs to find a way to get back home.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview with Guggenheim
ReplyDeleteAnatoly took the submarine and supposedly got out of the island in that as Ollie told him to leave if he doesn't come back with Sara and as for the other survivors, there weren't anymore. It was down to Ollie, Sara, Anatoly and that young pastor who sacrificed his life to get the missiles to work.
ReplyDeleteAnd yah, I do remember the temple that was shown pretty early in S2, but I think that could be shown just in the early part of S5 where Ollie takes that as a new "base" of sorts to live and sleep and what not. Although, seeing a couple of episodes of just Ollie rolling around in mud would be hilarious.
Exactly. Besides becoming Green Arrow, there isn't really a big pivotal moment to do in what should be an extravagant 100th episode besides ending the flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder if there is enough time for him to master russian, fly a plane, Bratva captain and assassin, master hacking and technology skills
ReplyDeleteThe latter two, didn't he pretty much learn during S3?
ReplyDeleteOld glory? Dude it could surpass whatever standard of the past.
ReplyDeleteI know I know, but I don't want to expect to much from it. For me S03 wasn't that good especially those finale 2 eps. So the level from the season 2 finish is more than good for me atm.
