Finally.
ReplyDelete"green arrow is coming" (in Lex Luthor voice)
ReplyDeleteAfter Comic Con, Stephen's speech and the new costume, this is the perfect title :)
ReplyDeleteS4 PLEASE BE GOOD!!!
ReplyDelete"Green Arrow" ... LOVE it !!!
ReplyDeleteIf i weren't so tired laying in bed right now, i'd be yelling my ass off doing backflips. But i am really tired, so all i can d is muster up a small...
ReplyDeleteYayyyyy!
Awesome title, so fitting :) Here we come Green Arrow!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME TITLE!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn straight!
ReplyDeleteI guess there no chance the show title will become "green arrow" from just "arrow"
ReplyDeleteThis Lex I assume ?
ReplyDeleteThey're getting right to the point (pun not intended but it stays).
ReplyDeleteWoW! Starting of with a BOOM! Best possible title.
ReplyDeleteI thought they would tease it a bit, but this is full on to straight into our face and I LOVE IT.
With the new costume and new name I hope we see a new a and slighlt more comdeic Oliver.
ReplyDeletenow he is the "green arrow" a crappy attempt with his costumn picture yesterday.
ReplyDeletehttps://convertio.co/tmp/out/1c06ae1009a249d1ffa37b3bd81a109c/greenarrowcostumnseason4.jpg
Wow, that title was not predictable at all. /sarcasm
ReplyDeleteNo Andrew Kreisberg anymore? He used to co-write premiere and finales as well but he must be too busy with the other shows.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope this season improves from the mess that was season 3.
Not exactly telling a lot. Not a huge surprise that Oliver will reinventing himself after what happened last season.
ReplyDeleteNever liked the old suit, loving this one! Reminds me of the Smallville Arrow suit. Maybe Speedy will get a new personalized suit instead of just a smaller version of the Arsenal one.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing them fight together!
Will there be a time jump? I don't remember if he quit or was just going to take a break on the finale.
ReplyDeleteIt fits... in more than one way. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is always a time jump between seasons.
ReplyDeleteand on the weekends he does some sweet BMXing. but honestly it looks slightly like police tactical gear making it slightly disturbing.
ReplyDeletelets hope the fuck not, the one of Smallville was atrocious.
ReplyDeleteAt least they got a good director
ReplyDeleteNo matter how much I like the title, it doesn't say us anything about the episode. Not that I expected a big reveal but still, a small tidbit to know a bit more.
ReplyDeleteI assume the episode will end with Oliver in suit on a newspaper frontpage. Green Arrow saves the city.
The suit and the title together, yeah I'm pretty sure this season is going to kill me.
ReplyDelete"I assume the episode will end with Oliver in suit on a newspaper frontpage. Green Arrow saves the city." YES PLEASE
ReplyDeleteLike every season, the premiere will be 5 or 6 months after the previous season finale.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteWe usually got a sneak peek at Comic Con but nothing this year. I hope we won't have to wait until September before we get some new footage....
ReplyDeleteExcited much? I've got a good feeling about the season, hope for more focused storytelling though.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you know? I'm hiding my excitement very well lol
ReplyDeleteMe too. I need them to focus more on characters. Make the plots fit the characters, not the other way around.
I mean they have a great storyline on hand I really hope they dig into it.
ReplyDeleteDon't want to boost Ur excitement , but have you heard that Doliver won't be in a good place at the start of the season.
I'm intrigued to see how Felicity and Malcolm will come together.
I'm optimistic and I like the new showrunner.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you bring this up? Have you no soul? You know Oliver and Diggle's brotherhood is a sensitive subject for me *sniff sniff*. And to answer your question, yes I know and I knew it was going to happen. I also know that no matter what they are brothers and they will solve their issues eventually. I just hope it doesn't take them too long. *wipes away a tear*
They said Malcolm will be under the hood again in episode 3. Maybe DD will come to Starling, somehow threatening Thea to get to Malcolm. (I hope not because I'm sick of this Malcolm loves Thea stuff). Maybe when Sara comes back he'll bring her to Starling City? Or Star City as the case may be. Who knows! I just want to see her ordering him around more lol
It's weird, I used to love Starling so much, and was annoyed last season when the one that shall not be named tried to change it to Star. However, after Stephen's speech about the team protecting Star City I'm soooooo on board lol. It was a very powerful speech ;)
That was obvious! I am very excited though!
ReplyDeleteIf he's interacting with the team then he'll interact with her. It's probably because they haven't started shooting yet and they are only wrote 3 episodes. They didn't have a lot to tease and they didn't want to spoil stuff that hasn't even been filmed yet, I guess. Anyway now that they started filming we will get some stuff. Especially BTS shots :D
ReplyDeleteThey said Felicity will help bring him back. UGH. I thought we were done with that guy. Anyway I'm in a good mood and I don't want to annoy myself.
I read somewhere, not sure if it's accurate or not, that a blood relative should be present when bringing back someone by the pit. So maybe that's her role.
YES!!!! This is so fucking AWESOME!!! He'll have the suit and the name by the first episode. Man I'm pumped for this year.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess you owe Ray some love. After all he caused the change.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm incredibly pumped for the premiere. Why can't it be October? On a side note, can't wait till the annual crossover. Finally the Green Arrow and the Flash (hopefully white emblem suit) will work side by side.
ReplyDeleteBlood relatives don't need to be there.
ReplyDeleteBefore reading my reply refresh I edited it.
ReplyDeleteHe knows Oliver killed people but not Arsenal. Roy never did anything, he wasn't even attacking Ray at the time. Plus he thinks they are criminals so that gives him the right to electrocute them? Not even checking if they are still alive? How is that any different from what he's accusing Oliver of?
ReplyDeleteFelicity told him that Oliver changed. That he's not a killer anymore but Ray didn't listen. He just stuffed his ego in the suit and went out hunting "the bad guys" and claiming an unearned heroic stand.
ok wait.
ReplyDeleteThought since Flash is on now time jumps wouldn't happen, or at least be limited to a few weeks, since both shows have to be in sync.
ReplyDeleteHell she might not want to be there. Because the Sara they put in might not be the same. That and after they resurrect, they're insane and psychotic for a bit.
ReplyDeleteOh please, from episodes 3 to 9 she was helping him with the suit without her knowledge. Are we going to ignore the fact that the writers were writing his character as shady on purpose? She was helping him with something but we weren't supposed to know what. He only told her in episode 9 when she told him that she quits. He only told her because he needed her help and she gave him no choice. And Oliver didn't shame her. He didn't give her a speech about being honest and open with her about everything while she keeps secrets. He asked why she didn't tell him because he needed to know that someone else was playing hero in the city, not because she has to tell him. He never used her feelings against her. Even in their fight he didn't tell her no you are wrong about everything you said about Ray, I'm right but you don't see it because your judgement is clouded by your emotions. Ray acted like a misogynistic jerk. They even made Felicity apologize for keeping a secret that is not hers.
ReplyDeleteYou once mentioned a man who became a villain after being resurrected, (I can't remember his name now), did he ever go back to his former self?
ReplyDeleteThey mentioned the Flash will jump ahead several months too. Even if they didn't start the seasons at the same timeline, they could catch up in a later episode before the crossovers.
ReplyDeleteI think calling him a misogynistic jerk was a bit much. He was a jerk (though again every hero has done that and one point or another so it's not fair to me to hold someone because they have flaws and f*ck up and have bad moods occasionally). Especially when Ray proved himself as heroic and caring about Felicity and helped the team greatly. If that were the case, Oliver should be reviled because he's been a massive jackass on the show before and was a literal stalker in one.
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
ReplyDeleteJason. No. But he's an interesting case. He (after the revamp) was a troubled kid with a delinquent past whose anger was channeled into being Robin. He was already quite angry and ruthless before his death (Batman could not control him well). Then when he was resurrected the experience (and I believe being resurrected while Ra's used the pit did also affect him) basically turn him into a violent, massively pissed off jerk who because of his securities tormented other Robins, killed criminals and just kinda became a near villain. Granted he's become more anti-heroic and he does often have good intentions but yeah death and resurrection after months of it (combined with Bruce's inability to save him) really f*cked him. No he never did. But Jason's circumstances were far less optimal for recovering. Bruce thought he was dead, and he had no family left. Sara has a family, Nyssa, and soon to be other team members and heroes to help her. Jason never did, so Sara like Thea (though Thea's case is probably gonna be less severe) is much better off and will probably fully heal.
ReplyDeleteI told you before I find most of the stuff he does offensive so no it wasn't much. I'm not dismissing the good he did, mostly after the fans complaining and the show trying to do some damage control, but again like I said they don't eradicate the bad. Again I told you before I had a lot of problems with Oliver in season 1, didn't I? It's one of the main reasons I never want him with Laurel because it brings out the worst in him. The difference with Oliver is that he grew and changed a lot, and now the good far outweigh the bad. And yet I still point out when he does something stupid or wrong. How many times was I angry at him or complained about something he did this season, even though he's my favourite character on the show? I don't judge characters with double standards based on how much I like them.
ReplyDeleteWell that's good to know. There is hope for Sara yet.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't give him the right. But to be fair when one of them is a killer, assuming his partner who he keeps working with isn't a stretch. Because Ray was trying to stop Oliver and Roy he wasn't trying to kill either one if them (he knew the electricity wouldn't kill Roy). He was trying to bring him to justice, Oliver as far as he knew was killing civilians, innocent people and anyone. Ray even himself said he was going to stop him and bring him to the law.
ReplyDeleteAnytime :D
ReplyDeleteFair and I shouldn't have applied that. But you forgave Oliver for his past. Yet you can't give Ray a chance. The guy spent the last few episodes helping the team, was crucial in Nanda Parbat and in stopping the virus. He may be a noob, but he like Oliver grew and knows what it means to be a hero.
ReplyDeleteI agree that he changed a lot in the last few episodes but not enough for me to like him. I hated Roy in season 1 but I grew to love a lot. I didn't have enough time to like Ray and since I won't be seeing much of him again I'm fine with how I feel about him. IF that feeling changed you will be the first to know :)
ReplyDeleteAfter Laurel shut him down (I was actually proud of her. I hate Ray so much that I liked Laurel. Go figure lol) he decided to take matters into his own hand. If the law won't help me, I shall become the law. Also it's worth noting that the partner only started working with Oliver AFTER he stopped killing, and the police department even recognized him as a hero. Why didn't he electrocute Felicity while he's at it? She works with a killer too? Why not bring her to justice as well?
ReplyDeleteKoky he decided to beat Oliver and bring him in. He had no intention of killing him. But sure he's a vigilante. So is Oliver and so is Barry, so is Ted. If you're gonna argue that you have to do the same to them. And it doesn't hold up then. If we do that then all heroes all accountable and are the law. Yes but then he was framed by the league and the cops started going after him. So to Ray with every evidence there was Oliver devolved into a murderer. He's not the audience he can't see that maybe Oliver wasn't a killer. Because he cared about Felicity and he wanted to protect her from the same fate. And she didn't try to attack him or wasn't actually a killer as far he knew. Look you don't like Ray fine, but these standards, and lack of acknowledgement that he's grown, that you're applying to him are ridiculous, given contextually he thought Oliver was a serial killer (which he actually is if you think about it), and would escape justice and every other hero is also a vigilante and has taken the law into their own hands and done what they thought best. So dislike the guy fine, but you can't do that for based on his vigilantism. Though still he's grown from that guy early in the season, so while it's fair to dislike that he's changed massively since then. And is now a heroic character who made up for whatever mistakes he did by helping the team and saving the city.
ReplyDeleteOh okay. Good to hear. Um if you see a other reply. I'm going to know change it so I'll tell you when to refresh.
ReplyDeleteOkay hit refresh.
ReplyDeletegod yes, I'm how can you fight crime, at night, wearing sunglasses? I don't care what "tech" it had in them wearing google glass would have looked better.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't judging him for being a vigilante. Don't accuse me of something I never said. My problem is that he's doing exactly what he's punishing Oliver and Roy for! Can't you see the hypocrisy? Felicity told him Oliver didn't do it. Oliver told him someone was framing him. He still didn't listen, didn't even give the man the city considers a hero the benefit of the doubt.
ReplyDelete"Because he cared about Felicity and he wanted to protect her from the same fate." So his judgement was clouded by his feelings too. As far as he knows she could've killed someone.
"And she didn't try to attack him or wasn't actually a killer as far he knew." And neither was Roy. Maybe the electricity didn't kill him but he could've very well hit his head and cracked it open when he flew and dropped into the ground. He didn't show any concern.
Dear God! I said that he changed. I acknowledged the good things he did. I also said he didn't change enough for me to forgive him for what he did. We are going in circles here. You keep bringing up that point even though we already dismissed it. I am not forgetting that Oliver was a killer. I even still have a lot of issues with Sara and Nyssa because they are killers. No matter how noble people seem to view them. But the fact is, which Ray knows and even Lance knows but choosing to forget, that Oliver is not a killer anymore. Even Lance, who was riding high horse and chasing Oliver, asked him to kill Slade in Unthinkable.
Which comment is it?
ReplyDeleteGuys the first episode lays the groundwork for the entire season--telling you where it will end, not just begin. I wouldn't expect "Green Arrow" immediately.
ReplyDeleteYou said he took the law into his own hands and became the law. It sounds like a little judgement. Koky people lie. When a man arrested for murder says he's innocent chances are he's guilty if the evidence shows otherwise. And all the evidence pointed towards him. Again he thought based on everything he knew Roy was a killer and would've killed him. And it could have? Dude what ifs are not useful. Oh come on. No one would believe Felicity's a killer. He was affected though by his feelings. Was Ray irrational? Yes but given everything he knew he was understandably angry and wanted to stop him (just like Oliver and Ted Grant). Ray knows that now (and he agreed to help him after he learned it) but he didn't know Oliver wasn't a killer then. Yes we did resolve that but I wrote that post before I read the reply.
ReplyDeleteLol. It would've.
ReplyDeleteIt was my original reply to this comment- "After Laurel shut him down (I was actually proud of her. Why not bring her to justice as well?"believe
ReplyDeleteNormally I'd agree but given the title. He'll probably become Green Arrow by the end. Since premiere titles using describe the first few episodes general feel Bd everything.
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't judgement. I was replying to when you said he was going to bring Oliver to the law. He was trying to be the law. I was just pointing that out, I wasn't judging him for doing it. I was however judging him for thinking he's better than Oliver. Yeah but shouldn't he at least consider that he might be telling the truth? Innocent until proven guilty and all that. So far he knows that Felicity a girl he is supposed to trust, Diggle who is a former soldier, Laurel who is an ADA and Roy who is not a known killer work with Oliver. There has to be some truth to what they're saying. Oliver couldn't be fooling all of them. Even Captain Lance and the entire police department were supporting him. Shouldn't he deserve a chance to explain? He just ignored everyone. I'm not saying he should believe them no questions asked but he should look at this from all angles.
ReplyDeleteHe has to be Green Arrow. People think the Arrow is dead so he can't be a new mysterious green vigilante. He needs to establish his identity as Green Arrow. We are not going to repeat seasons 1-3 again.
ReplyDeleteAt this time the support was getting really weak. And again no one else vouched for Oliver besides Felicity. Again though actions speak louder than words and the actions of a supposed reformed murderous vigilante who from what he saw started killing indiscriminately speak louder than the words that guy or even Felicity said. I really don't blame the guy. Especially since Oliver did the same thing, and while I knew Ted was innocent Oliver didn't so I got why he was against him. Maybe he did deserve a chance, but Ray didn't think he was innocent and he did explain and once so after the fight did believe him. I get that all angles thing. But I kinda think that based on the past and the evidence and the secretive nature of the work, it's pretty fair to think that Oliver followed everyone given he's done so for so long.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all those things. I just don't think it will happen in the first 42 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. The Calm did not describe the first several episodes it described the first 4 acts of the premiere and the finale. City of Heroes was the same way. It described the end--not the first few episodes.
ReplyDeleteThey are doing things differently now. We still don't know how they are going to handle the transition so we can't form an opinion. What we do know is that he can't be another vigilante in a green suit, it would erase everything Roy did. His only option is to be a hero with a known name from the start. And we don't know who will give him the name. Maybe someone will say "He looked like the Arrow but he was more green." :D
ReplyDeleteIt would also be so awesome if Cisco gave him the suit and the name :D
ReplyDeleteI pointed out how each premiere sets the tone and arc with season 3 and season two and one. I just demonstrated that the title has nothing to do specifically with the end of each season beyond the thematics it goes through. Green Arrow is where Oliver is going, but as shown in that title, in the con, he's getting the suit near the beginning. He'll also joke more, but the point of that title is to demonstrate how this season will focus on him as the Green Arrow, as he becomes lighter and uses more jokes and his path in that. But it doesn't directly correlate to some moment or scene in the finale. More the feel of the season, and how it begins.
ReplyDeleteYay.
ReplyDeleteBefore you read my reply refresh I edited it.
ReplyDeleteYou know, all of this contradicts Berlanti's step of this only being a 'step' in becoming GA. With this title, the suit, Stephen Amell saying we'll see a more prominent "Ollie in a suit" in Starling City during S4....I think this whole season will just be Ollie becoming Green Arrow and not just making a 'step'.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what Quentin thinks about this with how S3 ended for his arc.
Oliver just now at the of season 3 decided he could maybe be a hero. Not season 2.
ReplyDeleteGreat title! Perfect timing.
ReplyDeleteOliver has been a hero since 2x01. Now he will be a better hero. More balanced. Someone who is fighting to live because he wants to live, not just to survive because he ows the people who sacrificed their lives for him. He'll be embracing life instead of waiting for the day he dies. Honestly that man tends to have some suicidal tendencies at times.
ReplyDeleteActually I'm pretty sure he means Lex from Batman v Superman movie "The red cape's a coming"
ReplyDeleteIf Oliver is wearing a suit more....it likely he will use his money to help save the city in a different pov....like fixing the Glades and fundraisers for the lower class
ReplyDeleteI think the suit and taking the name will definitely happen in the first few episodes, but that he'll grow into it and become more Green Arrow-y over the season.
ReplyDeleteHe'll probably be inspired by the Arrow.
ReplyDeleteI think it be similar to Barry. he was named "The Flash" by the media after 5 or 6 episode I believe
ReplyDeleteBarry chose the name. But yeah it'll be early.
ReplyDeleteI think him being more prominent outside as Oliver Queen will have something to do with Moira's friend who's also running for mayor. It would be a good first step too with supporting someone running for mayor.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Lance will tell his own superior that the "green arrow" is not a vigilante but a hero that should work directly with the police when needed and not done all in secret and on rooftop. Lance mention in the SDCC interview he did something bad...and viewers will be surprise on what he did
ReplyDeleteReally? Oh Lance what did you do?
ReplyDelete
