Thanks to omabin for the heads up.
Chad Michael Murray has confirmed he will return for season two of Agent Carter.
The actor has announced that his character, Agent Jack Thompson will make an appearance in the second season of Marvel & ABC Studios’ hit series.
“I can say a little bit, I’m more or less I’m sworn to secrecy, but Jack will be there,” Murray promised news.com.au today.
“I have no idea what the story entails this year, I have no idea! I have been kind of cut off and doing so many other things,” the 33-year-old said, referring to he and wife Sarah Roemer welcoming their first child together two months ago, a baby boy.
“We don’t start shooting till September, they’re just getting into the writer’s room.

This is great. I want them all back.
ReplyDelete*happy dance*
ReplyDeleteJust Lyndsy to confirm she is back so the whole family comes back together.
I like Jack, he was bit douchey but really hold his place in the story and gave the story some nice moments. Especially during/ after that Russia mission
I know some people disliked his character but I really enjoyed what he brought to the show so I am very glad about this. I really warmed up to him after the Russia mission
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%
ReplyDeleteUgh, horrible. Nothing against the actor but I hated his character. Whiny, weak, arrogant characters hold no appeal for me and Jack was one of the worst. Unless his return is about Jack getting the take down he so richly deserves, I want him gone.
ReplyDeleteI could take or leave the character really though I warmed to him a bit more towards the end of the show.
ReplyDeleteAll I want is more Lyndsy Fonseca in my life, I need to know she'll be a regular for season 2 and I'll be happy. I think she would be one of the easiest character that they could justify moving to L.A since she wants to be an actress.
ReplyDeleteYay! I didn't even notice it was him until half way through the season when I noticed his name on the screen.
ReplyDeleteI want Angie to return, is all.
ReplyDeleteWhen did the 2 of us ever disagree? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI feel like they are saving Angie for Comic Con.
ReplyDeleteHe is one of those love to hate characters. And he was pure stereotype all season long and added some reality to the story, I liked that.
ReplyDeleteExcept Dooley, R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteA heartbreaking departure. But I loved the way he went out, didn't see it coming.

ReplyDeleteFinally the news i was waiting for .....
The whole gang is gonna be back together.
ReplyDeleteYuck.
ReplyDeleteHow is that even possible? ^^
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he didn't age a day since OTH season 2-3, in S01 he looked like a kid but since than like time stopped for him.
Are there any Chad Michael Murray fans here? I would be interested to know whether he is still friends with Jared Padalecki or are they more like friendly acquaintances who drifted apart because they have their own work commitments and families now?
ReplyDeleteJared said he would like to have some of his actor friends guest star on Supernatural but he only mentioned Zachary Levi by name.
okay, now they are trolling us. Everyone is waiting for the conformation that Angie will be back and they announce everyone else and their dog.
ReplyDeleteI only watched the first few episodes of S1 of OTH and that's all I saw of him.
ReplyDeleteWell, I like to see how he developed after the events of last season, but I would have survived if he hadn't been around next season. He was at the very bottom of my "want to see again" list.
ReplyDeleteOkay. I was already worried but now I'm even more worried that U haven't watched OTH multiple times by now. Such a strong show. O.O
ReplyDeleteLol I tried to get into teen soaps but I just couldn't. Mainly because they were far too romance heavy for my taste.
ReplyDeleteHoping to watch this soon but isn't he part of the main cast? Wasn't he suppose to be returning anyway?
ReplyDeleteWith the change of location, and supposed budget cuts, it was kind of a gamble guessing who may or may not return, and to what extent. There were rumors that the show would be rebooting in a sense.
ReplyDeleteGood, I like him more tan Souza, he seems like a more complex character.
ReplyDeleteUGH. Great, more one-note sexist, ableist, arrogant jackassery
ReplyDeleteI really feel like the whole sob story of Thompson accidentally killing the surrendering soldiers was a cheap ploy for audience sympathy. Cheap, but it worked on some people nevertheless. Seriously, everyone has pain in their past, it doesn't explain his behavior or make him any less of an ass. And apparently, the respect he gained for Peggy during the Russia mission was meaningless anyway because he took all of the credit for stopping the terrorist attack to himself in the end.
ReplyDeleteUsually TV shows automatically contract the actors for around three seasons. But in the case of Agent Carter, I guess they did things differently, so the only one originally confirmed was Peggy herself.
ReplyDeleteWe are still waiting for the confirmation that the actresses of Dottie and Angie come back, and then we have the complete main cast (other than side characters like Ms. Fry, naturally).
I need Lyndsy Fonseca and Bridget Regan to be confirmed!! Angie, Jarvis and Dottie were the character's I loved most, with the exception of Peggy Carter herself of course :)
ReplyDeleteARGH!!!! Why is Thompson back?!!!! It's supposed to be a confirmation for Lyndsy Fonseca!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah forgot about Dottie, for a villain of course LOL but hey every hero needs a good villain.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness. I thought the entire cast clicked very well together.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you so against on-screen romance my friend? Not all of them are bad.LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't *like* Thompson, but I think that kind of character is useful for a show like this. When you have a show that has very clear heroes and villains (vs a general drama type show) it can be good to have a character or two who's not really either of those things. Jack is an ass, but he's not evil, he's still working towards 'the greater good' he's just doing so in a way that's not really that heroic at all. Which means he can be a bit of a wild card that the writers can utilize in a lot of ways. I wasn't waiting with breath held to hear if he was coming back or not, but I'm not upset by it either.
ReplyDeleteLol, probably because I'm not a fan of it in real life either I just can't connect with those scenes.
ReplyDeleteThe show qas so hot in it's first couple of seasons. I was always a Blucas fan. Hate they pulled away from them cause they ended in real life.
ReplyDeleteI never liked Brucas.Lucas-Peyton were my OTP,so glad they were endgame after all.
ReplyDeleteLucas and Peyton were way to much idealized for my taste. I mean okay star crossed lovers and that I'm always for that, but didn't feel their connection.
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly a fan of the underdog love stories and Brucas felt so different and good to me. I really wanted for Lucas to be calling Brooke at the end of S05, but after I heard about the divorce and stuff I knew it was done for them. I didn't knew it right away cause I wasn't following the gossip back in the day. I didn't have that good internet back in the day.
I love Jack, so I'm happy about this.
ReplyDeleteHe's sort of like Mack on AoS. He was hated for almost all of 2B but I appreciated his character simply for not being a yes man to the main protagonist. He questioned, he rebelled against what he thought and believed was wrong. Jack is like a neutral character. He's not a villain but he's so douchery that he comes across as antagonist to our heroine. Shows do need characters that exist outside of the collective group. i'm only glad they didn't take him to the extreme like Grant Ward on AoS.
ReplyDeleteBut the era IS very stereotype, it's the 40/50s
ReplyDeleteI know, I don't hold anything against him. But I understand why he brought up split reactions. ^^
