2015 Character Cup - 3A

Jul 19, 2015

Welcome to the 2015 Character Cup - Round 3. Once again, I am astounded by all the passionate TV fans that have participated. Round 2B had by far the largest voter turnout with 39,714 votes. That's only 2,500 shy of half the votes we had in the entire competition last year. Simply amazing! We also saw the closest polls of the tournament yet with Oliver (Arrow) narrowly losing to Helena (Orphan Black) by 7 votes. Wow! Thanks to everyone who is voting, commenting, and spreading the word.

Starting with round 3, each day will have 4 or fewer polls and the turnaround time is very quick. Making it into tomorrow's round 3 contest are Jamie Fraser, Emma Swan, Spencer Reid, Mickey Milkovich, Helena, Buffy Summers, Peggy Carter, and Tyrion Lannister. Congrats! After that victors will be in new rounds every day until a winner is declared. If you have any questions, please put them in the comments below. Also I have added nominating for a special poll we will be having in round 4. If people like it, we may have another one also for round 5 or 6. Good luck and happy voting!

Prediction Cup Update - Once again our prediction poll leaders have changed. Perrin now controls the top spot with Wired Wizard in second and Sooze55 in third. Congratulations to each of you. Awesome predicting. Since this contest has killed many brackets, expect to see things continue to bounce among the top leaders.

Fun Fact - Jamie Fraser got more votes alone than any poll (both characters) in the contest previously and more than the bottom 12 characters combined.
Fun Fact #2 - Last year the contest had 84,532 votes altogether (minus pre-contest nominating polls, etc.). This year we already have 116,850.

Today's TV Talk Topic:

TV Extras: Yesterday we touched on webisodes, but what about all those other TV peripherals especially on DVD sets. Do you regularly watch gag reels, commentaries, behind-the-scenes features, interviews, documentaries, etc. of your favorite shows? What are your favorite TV extras now and all-time?  Which shows have your favorites?  Have you ever bought DVDs just for the special features? Do you even still buy DVD's and box sets? Do you regularly check out convention and set visits posted online, like SDCC? How much time do you spend on your favorite shows beyond just watching the episodes?

Bonus: Since we are starting to get fewer shows still in the contest, every once in awhile I will throw in a bonus poll to keep others involved too. In the nominating process the idea of vehicles being characters in a show was brought up, specifically Dean's Baby in Supernatural and the Tardis in Doctor Who but there are a lot of beloved TV vehicles out there. Nominations will stay open for about 1.5 days and the poll will take place in round 4. While you can nominate multiple times, please don't nominate the same vehicle multiple times.  Thanks and have fun.

  2. 1. Matt - by default. I can't wait to see the rest of Daredevil. Dropped Root.

    2. The Doctor - I really liked the 10th Doctor and I really hated the romance emphasis for Beckett.

    3. Sam - technically by default because I barely remember Daryl in the one season I saw of The Walking Dead. Still I love Sam as a character and the growth he has had in 10 seasons. I especially loved him in the first 3 seasons and the last one. The Winchester bond is like no other.

    4. Scully - technically by default because I still haven't seen an episode of Parks and Rec. Scully though was my favorite TV role model for a long time. She influenced the role of females on TV and was a strong, logical, and occasional kick butt woman whose greatest strengths were her brains and her loyalty. It made her fascinating to watch.

  3. So, I am pretty stupid: what exactly is meant by tv vehicle? I did not understand the examples :F

This topic is super easy for me because I don't do much of this. Although I still buy a lot of DVD's, I rarely watch the extras unless it's something specific I'm interested in like monster lore on Supernatural or mini-docs about the technical side of a show - lighting, sound editing, etc. I think it's for the same reason I'm not a fan of meta episodes. They take me out of the world that has been built. I do however love behind the set stories like prank wars and goofy cast selfies. The ice bucket challenge videos were a favorite of mine when they had a twist and the cast of Supernatural has a great time making things for the fans like the Harlem Shake video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFkh5Xs5gvs

The Hillywood parody was awesome too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCZy8cAgBlM

My favorite thing is still Jensen doing Eye of the Tiger in the Impala though:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb3G5Qj_Lo8

I usually watch SDCC panels but lately I've slowed down on it too because I prefer to be spoiler-free for most of my shows. I guess now that I watch more TV and don't specialize as much, I don't have time to follow the ins and outs of one show as closely.

    Sorry Oliver, people tried.

  6. I'm pretty sure it means a favourite mode of transportation that is featured in tv shows. IE: The Tardis in Doctor Who, the Impala "Metallicar" in Supernatural.

  7. Cars, spaceships, the Tardis. Anything thing people is a show use to get from one place to another.

  8. I definitely watch gag reels and bloopers! By far my favorite ones are for revenge! Everyone is so serious on the show and they never laugh so it so great to see everyone laughing and making jokes:

I nominated Angel's 1967 black Plymouth GTX, so awesome

  11. - Root. I do love Matt, though. Charlie plays him perfectly.

    - The Doctor. I tried Castle and dropped it in the first season.
    - Sam. I hate The Walking Dead.

  12. I spend a lot of time with my favorite shows. The episode is only 1/3 of the time. After that, I always check out the polls on this site and usually the promos but this upcoming fall I will not watch promos anymore since sometimes they take the excitement out of the episode!

  13. Matt Murdock,.Kate Beckett & Daryl for me.

  14. DVD extras i love the most-Gag reel & Deleted scenes.
Best Gag Reel over the years-Supernatural.

  15. - Root. I do love Matt, though. Charlie plays him perfectly.
    - The Doctor. I tried Castle and dropped it in the first season.
    - Sam. I hate The Walking Dead.
    - Scully. Never got into Parks and Rec.

TV Topic: I love special features on show DVD's! I'm a sucker for all behind the scenes information, deleted scenes, and especially bloopers. I admittedly haven't bought a box set for quite some time now; the last would have been the Rambaldi box with the entire Alias series. It was too awesome not to pass up and had such awesome extra features.

And speaking of Alias, the bloopers are still some of my all-time favourite. Here's Season 1 (but you can find all 5 seasons on YT):

  19. I watch gag reels, but mostly the ones that I can find online. I always enjoy the ones of Parks and Recreation and Modern Family and the bloopers of Everybody Loves Raymond are pretty fun too!

I also watch a lot of interviews with people from my favorite shows. I think Wendi McLendon-Covey and Patricia Heaton always have fun interviews.

Can't say how much time I spend on shows besides watching the episodes but I know it's a lot haha!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I still have 8 characters that I like in this thing. I love it. I don't love Daryl vs Sam though. It hurts.
I nominated Baby and Stiles's Jeep but I feel like I'm forgetting something. If I think of it, I'll add it.
Gag reels are my absolute favorites when it's a show where everyone gets along, has a good time and is not afraid to be foolish. (Supernatural)
I love the Banshee fight training video's almost as much as the show. Those BTS peeks are awesome.

  24. It's too bad...I would have loved to see Sherlock going up against the Doctor. (And Honestly, I am temped to vote for the doctor simply because I don't get what is so interesting about Becket anyway. She is a pretty standard character).
Oh well...I guess I'll give Matt my vote, just so that he won't loose too badly against Root. Otherwise I actually don't care for this side of the Bracket. Look forward to the other half.
As a general rule, most DVD's for TV shows don't really have to offer much on special features. Sherlock is the big exception. But White Collar...those DVD were some of the worst I have ever seen, they didn't even get the basics right. Thing is, it is often really, really difficult to get a complete DVD set for a show because often the last seasons are not released for one reason or another, so I know only buy them if a TV show has already finished its run and I know that I'll eventually get a full-set. Usually. Some shows are so good that I take what I can get.

Oliver lost by 7 votes?!! :( I'm so sorry Oliver. You are still my hero.

  26. Since I accidentally tagged the TV topic in my other post, I'm going to talk TV vehicles here. When I was a kid there were 3 classic TV vehicles that everyone wanted. The Batmobile, the 60's TV show was in constant reruns then), had the very best gadgets and plus it made you a superhero. The General Lee from Dukes of Hazard meant instant fun. KITT from Knight Rider was a sentient being that talked. How cool is that! They are the reason why I was fascinated with TV vehicles from the start. Later I added the Enterprise from Star Trek: Next Generation and the Stargate from Stargate SG-1. I'm also a fan of Stiles' Jeep (poor baby held together with duct tape) on Teen Wolf and Michael's awesome Charger from Burn Notice.

Still my #1 TV vehicle love will always be Metallicar aka Dean's Baby on Supernatural. She feels like an actual character in the show, so much so that she has her own fanvids. She's also the only character that never let me down. She's always there for the Wincehster brothers (when she's not possessed by evil ghosts and kidneys), has since more emoangst than a soap opera, and can kick monster butt when needed. She has her own theme song. Heck, she even stopped the apocalypse! I love that 67' Chevy Impala and one day I will have a clone of my own.

  28. Sad Vanessa didn't get through but she put up a good fight against a huge fandom. I'm still delighted I still have one nominated character in the competition because I didn't expect too, you go Mickey Milkovich!

Just Matt Murdoch for me today. Dropped TWD, SPN & DW and never watched POI, Castle, Parks & Rec or The X-Files.

Bonus: Destiny from Stargate Universe. I'm probabaly the only one who'll nominate it but I loved that ship so much! It looked amazing and it had it's own personality, definitely my favourite space ship from anything :)

    TV Talk Topic

Do you regularly watch gag reels, commentaries, behind-the-scenes features, interviews, documentaries, etc. of your favorite shows?
I used to watch every single extra I could find with Stargate but with most other shows I only watch the bloopers. Penny Dreadful and Sense8 though I watch everything as well, not there's much with Sense8 but as soon as it's there I'll be watching!

What are your favorite TV extras now and all-time? Which shows have your favorites?
I loved the Stargate BTS vids of what it was like on set. My favourite though were of the ones about designing and building the Stargates.
I always love the TBBT bloopers though, I've actually watched them a few times :P

Have you ever bought DVDs just for the special features? Do you even still buy DVD's and box sets?
I've never actually bought DVDs, I download everything or watch on Netflix if it's there. With the amount of shows I watch I could rob a bank and still not have enough money to buy the DVDs. When Stargate was on though and it was the only show I watched, the box sets were always the go-to gift to get me every year :) Everyone would always say I was really difficult to shop for and they all wanted to get me a Stargate box set because it was easy or the new Ratchet and Clank game if one was out, that was another go-to gift to get me (and still is!). But all the Stargate box sets are the only ones I have.

Do you regularly check out convention and set visits posted online, like SDCC?
Not really no, I watch some SDCC panels for all the info and banter but thats about it. If I've nothing to do I'll search YouTube for stuff but not that often.

How much time do you spend on your favorite shows beyond just watching the episodes?
Watching BTS vids, interviews etc? Very little.
Discussing them and looking for scoop on what's coming up? Too much!

    ReplyDelete
  29. There's not anyone that I am voting for today. Oh well. On to the TV topic:

I do buy DVD sets of it's a show that I really love. I usually wait to buy them a few months after they're released because Amazon tends to mark the price down.

I love watching videos and looking at photos that cast members put up. Last summer, Charlie Barnett posted some really great videos from the Chicago Fire set. It made the hiatus more fun, and you could tell the cast really liked each other. Sadly, he left the show, and I will miss his videos this summer.

  30. Gag reels seem to be the favorite all around. They always get a lot of hits here at SpoilerTV.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 1. Root - i like her more.
    2. The Doctor - i like him and especially 10th doctor and i never was fan of Beckett
    3. Sam - I love Sam. and i don't wach TWD
    4. Scully - don't watch other tv show

    Topic:

Mostly gag reels, commentaries, interviews, documentaries and etc. i watch is from supernatural, especially if it has Jared and Jensen in (barely care about other actors).
My favorites gag reels is Supernatural ones.

Do you even still buy DVD's and box sets? - i will give the same answer that i give when someone ask why i'm buying vinyls and cds, dvd of concert. Because i don't feel that own thing if i don't have a physical copy. So yes, i do buy, but only if i really love it.

  32. Awesome TV vehicle. I totally forgot about it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If I don't review a show, I try to look at the polls here too. It's always fun to see how other people reacted to and interpreted things. Sometimes they are the exact opposite of me.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Matt, The Doctor, Sam and Scully. Easy Peasy.

I nominated Grandpa Munster's Drag-u-la (The Munsters), Stiles' Jeep (Teen Wolf), and Danny's Camaro (H5O).

    TV Talk Topic:
I generally only watch the gag reels and deleted scenes. I watch some of the SDCC interviews and panels when they post on STV but I don't go out of my way to search for them. The only "making of" features I've watched have been from movies - The Hobbit, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.
I haven't been purchasing as many DVD's as I have in the past. Mostly because I am trying to reduce the amount of "stuff" I have and it;s unlikely that I am going to rewatch very many movies/TV series since my watchlist is so crazy long.

As far as spending time on a show outside of actually watching it - well that varies. For example, I watch Zoo but I'm usually several days after it airs and there isn't a whole lot of buzz surrounding it so there aren't very many people still talking about it a few days later. However, shows like Teen Wolf, The 100 or others that have more buzz or I generally watch right away I will spend more time on - usually in the form of discussing on STV :-)

    ReplyDelete
  35. You can still participate in the discussion or nominate your favorite TV vehicles. That poll will come out in 2 days.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank goodness for YouTube and fansites because they always have the bloopers and otehr good stuff up.

  37. for unknown reason....OQ character is dislike......

  38. Just Matt Murdock today. Sad that he's done for after this. Root's popularity on this site is unbelievable - I nominated Finch from PoI and was stunned to see by how many votes he, Reese and Shaw lost to Root in the preliminary round to determine which PoI character would be in the competition.

  40. It's been some time since I've seen the show, so I can't recall if it was a regular feature of the show, but I remember Maxwell Smart pulling up in a pretty cool car (blanking on the kind, though, 'cause I'm not a car expert by any means :p) in the "Get Smart" credits.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bwahaha! Thank you so much for posting the Hillywood parody. I can't stop laughing. It is brilliant. SPN cast is so awesome so joining!!!

Out of curiosity, can you delete a vehicle entry? I misspelled the Mach 5 so I added it again.

    ReplyDelete
  42. These two always make me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I LOVE watching DVD extras like gag reels or episode commentaries (even better if they're doing commentary for a favorite episode of mine!) or "meet the cast" shorts or whatnot. I'm always interested in hearing about how the shows were first created, how they chose the cast they did, what the cast initially thought about the show when they were first offered parts in it, and so on. I just think it's neat to hear how all that stuff came together, to wonder what would've happened if one or two little details or cast changes had been different. Would I still have watched? Would it have been as big a hit (or a bigger hit, depending on the show)? Stuff like that.
Gag reels are always fun, 'cause it's entertaining to watch the cast being goofy between takes. And I like episode commentaries 'cause it's interesting to see how they came up with the storyline and what the actors thought about it and hearing random fun factoids about the making of the episode along the way.
I love that "Community" did commentaries for EVERY episode they've ever done. It's clear the cast and crew of the show appreciate the fans, and I think it shows in going as far as putting all those extras and commentaries in. I still have yet to sit down and listen to all of them, though-I need to catch up on that at some point.
I also need to spend more time going through the extras on the "Twilight Zone" complete series box set. It's not often that older shows have as many extra DVD goodies as current shows do, for a whole host of reasons (cast gets old/dies off, some of the footage is lost, etc.), but somebody clearly took the time to find and keep a lot of neat things from this particular series, and thank goodness for that. I do have some time off from work this coming week, so I think I'll spend a few hours poking around with all of that :).

    ReplyDelete
  44. How many reasons do you need?

    ReplyDelete
  45. 1. Root: This one is easy, Root is way better than Matt. I find her character refreshing and POI became quickly one of my favorite series because of her.

    2. The Doctor: I haven't watched Doctor Who yet, but I saw some videos and I think I'll like him. Kate is a great character, but Castle should have ended with S6 and that's why I'm not voting her. Plus, I predicted The Doctor would have won this round.

    3. And here we go with the hard poll... T.T I'm sorry Sammy, but Daryl wins this for me. He grew a lot from S1 and now he's one of my favorites in TWD. Sam grew throughout the series, but not as much as Daryl and Supernatural already won twice so I don't feel too bad about this one...

    4. Dana Scully: I don't watch Parks and Recreation or The X-Files, but the latter is on my to-watch list and Dana looks more like a badass.

    TV Talk Topic:

    1. Do you regularly watch gag reels, commentaries, behind-the-scenes features, interviews, documentaries, etc. of your favorite shows? What are your favorite TV extras now and all-time? Which shows have your favorites?

I used to watch bloopers when I didn't have this many shows, but now it's just something that happens randomly (except Teen Wolf, I watch all of theit bloopers). The last video I saw was from Outlander and I remember I loved the bloopers from the third season of Scandal.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNZ_xu-0fSw

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_-0gbl2tpk

    2. Have you ever bought DVDs just for the special features? Do you even still buy DVD's and box sets?

I've never bought a DVD box set, I watch too many shows. I have S1-2 of BTVS, someone gave them to me as a gift many years ago and that's actually how I started watching Buffy.

    3. Do you regularly check out convention and set visits posted online, like SDCC? How much time do you spend on your favorite shows beyond just watching the episodes?

I usually don't watch the whole thing, just part of it. I read what they said on various blogs, though.

As for the vehicles, I've nominated Dean's Baby. I have the feeling Stiles' jeep will let him down, which means no nomination for her.

  46. Every time I see a gif of Amy Acker trying to wink, I smile. Because for some reason she can't do it and it's really cute. Go Root!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't know if you've had a chance to see this "Criminal Minds" clip yet, but if not, it's worth watching, 'cause it's hilarious and awesome and proof of why people love this cast so much. I thought I read somewhere that this was Thomas Gibson's idea, which makes it all the funnier, for some reason:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhytUz2Hc6o
There's another funny one I'd love to show you, too, but it does kind of spoil something that happens at the end of season 7-but if you're interested, I'll share it!

  51. Just The Doctor for me today. I encourage all you Whovians to get out the vote. It doesn't matter which Doctor is you favorite. if you're like me, the variations in character always keep me coming back to the show, and I've been watching since Tom Baker in the original series. After all, how many characters have been played by so many different actors for so many years.
I did nominate The Starship Enterprise in the bonus poll. After all, the ship is as much a character as any of the crew, and some of the most interesting episodes have focused on the ship's personality (like in the original Star Trek there was an episode where something happened and the ship's computer kept calling Capt. Kirk "dear.")
Don't have any box sets, so can't answer that, but I love gag reels when I've seen them.

    TV Talk Topic:

    My Favorite TV extras:

    1. Deleted Scenes
    2. Commentaries
    3. BTS Features and Interviews

My Favorite Vehicle: The Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee (I was born in 1977, and this is the first TV show that I remember, and as a child, I loved to see the General jump. : ) I also remember how my dad watched Dukes and my mom watched Dallas, and both of them constantly complained about the other show...lol.)

  55. 1. Root by default since I have yet to watch Daredevil

    2. Kate Beckett by default even though I no longer watch Castle but Kate is awesome

    3. Daryl. I've seen the first three seasons of Supernatural and I enjoyed both brothers very much but I know Daryl better and feel more of a connection with him, as much as I do like Sam too

    4. I wasn't a regular watcher of The X-Files but I used to watch the occasional episode back then, way before I got into this whole tv show world, so Dana gets my vote by default since I've only seen the pilot of P&R and wasn't overly impressed

  61. I'll take the first one off when I look at the nominations. Thanks for letting me know. I thought the Hillywood parody was brilliant. I love how the SPN cast and crew always are game for doing goofy things just because they know the fans will love them.

    ReplyDelete
  62. LOL, ah, yeah, I did similar things with my sister :p.
I used to watch the reruns of that show on Nick at Nite when I was little-my mom and dad watched that all the time and so I just wound up watching along with them. And "Get Smart" was one of my favorite shows to watch as a kid. Don Adams was in quite a few things I liked when I was younger, actually-"Get Smart", the "Tennessee Tuxedo" cartoon they used to air alongside old "Rocky and Bullwinkle" episodes, "Inspector Gadget"...

  63. Only Root for me today. Most of my other favourites didn't make it so far :(

  65. TV Talk Topic:

DVD Sets - I love them. I am really hoping that they don't disappear in the wake of all of the streaming. I love the extras and the commentaries. A good commentary can be filled with things to learn - especially for those who want to be writers or directors. It it's just cool to find out that a moment that you loved was actually an ad lib. The most disconcerting extras that I've watched have been audition tapes. Wow could I NOT be a casting director. A couple of those reels were of actors whose worked I really enjoyed and there's no way I would have hired them. I'm a little more picky about the documentaries. Primarily because they tend to be longer. It also depends on the topic. Is it something I really want to know or not?

I have been known to buy a DVD set if it included something I couldn't find elsewhere...a Paley Fest panel or an un-aired episode.

I do watch the Comic Con panels on line...especially if they're venue or network recorded. The fan recorded videos are generally unwatchable. I would love it if Comic Con would take the kind of approach that Nerd HQ took.

Until I started writing reviews, not that much time. I would log onto spoilerTV and blather about episodes and watch clips etc. But that was never that much time out of my day...except for your TV Topic posts. I have to stop and think and I read more of the topic posts because it's all such an interesting conversation.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I was loving it with Osiric as Sam but then they brought in all those cast members and it jsut kept getting better and better.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I love the variety of things that are now extras. At first there wasn't anything and then commentaries and gag reels. Now you can get in-depth tutorials on it seems like every job in Hollywood plus mythos and a whole host of other things. What I would love to see is some kinf of commentary done in a Pop Up Video-like style from back in the day with VHS videos. I get tired of hearing people talking in commentaries pretty quickly but pop up facts on my screen and you've got my attention.

I didn't realize that Community did that. What a great treat for fans who love that stuff. I own some Community DVDs but I've never looked at the extras. I don't have the box set of Twilight but that would be one show that I think I would really be interested in the extras.

As far as the Hillywood parody, I'm not sure people who don't watch SPN would get it because it's basically one big meta on the show and then recurring characters pop up and dance. It shocked me how many people they got to participate and it's fun having seen every episode, but mostly it would just be people being goofy if you haven't seen the show.

    ReplyDelete
  68. The Hillywood thing broke my brain

    ReplyDelete
  69. I never thought of how difficult it would be to film a boat scene. That's just insane.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I like how Hotchner stays in character the whole time. I will probably avoid the spoilers in the other one though.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I've seen a couple of interviews with Wendi and she does seem fun off and on screen. I haven't seen one from Patricia Heaton though.

    ReplyDelete
  72. 8 characters? Wow! I have 4 I'm actively rooting for still and a some second tier ones. I figured you wouldn't be happy with the brackets today. I might look for that Banshee fight training video because that's the kind of thing that interests me most. My go to procrastination tool this summer has been fan-made songvids so I understand that. Mostly of Scott and Stiles.

    ReplyDelete
  73. LOL, I never noticed before!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just Root for me today =)

    ReplyDelete
  75. I do, too :D. And yeah, that's fine. Whenever you do get to see the end of season 7, though, I'll be happy to share that other video if you want then.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Castle is very popular around here and Kate Beckett has been in the Character Cup every time it has been run. In a curious coincidence, excluding the first time when cheating halted the contest twice (before there was a better system in place) and all results are a bit iffy, she has only been defeated by the winner of the contest. It will be interesting to see if history repeats itself here.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The Doctor, Scully, Sam and Root for me.

    Reasons to:

Root - I was actually hoping Olivia Dunham would win against Root, but I guess the character is really badass to win over the multiverse jumper, so, I vote for her since I didn't like Daredevil.

Scully - Does it really need any reason?

Sam Winchester - Both make crying faces a lot and complain a lot about pretty much everything, but at least I liked Sam this season.

The Doctor - 52 years saving the universe (and parallel ones too), I think he deserves a lot more than Beckett, even tho I love her and would like to see her as a companion (if someone has a fanfic, please, send it to me, thank you!).

    ReplyDelete
  78. I like Matt and The Doctor (most all of them but 10 is my favorite) but I love Daryl, Sam, Scully, Reid, Buffy and Peggy. It's all going to change tomorrow!

Sandi posts the best BTS training vids for Banshee. I think she likes to save them up and then hit us with a lot of greatness all at once. I think there are several with Eliza Dushku already posted. I can't wait to see her next season.

    ReplyDelete
  79. It was super close. I think both fandoms did a great job.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Oh, and meant to add - I nominated the 1973 Dodge Charger from Burn Notice! I loved that car.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Such a fan of Root's speech in the season 3 finale about Pandora's box. I swear Person of Interest makes the best season finales ever.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dly3yjYnW6U

    ReplyDelete
  82. Barely. Only by 38 votes which is the second closest poll we've had so far.

    ReplyDelete
  83. That's a great choice! I forgot Michael's car. Such a great car too.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I don't think anyone expected Mickey to go this far. It's been phenomenal. Hopefully more people will check out Penny Dreadful based on Vanessa being in this contest and maybe she'll get even more nominations next time.

I loved hearing about the stargates as well and you just reminded me that I didn't nominate Moya from Farscape. I loved that sentient ship. Anyway, my dad was the one who we all wanted to get Stargate box sets for and for the same reason. TV on DVD is still my go-to gift for him because he's retired and doesn't have patience for commercials. I love how you divided up the time question. I would agree with you. I spend most of my time discussing TV.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I tend to buy DVDs during Christmas and Fathers' Day because that's when they are cheapest around here. I rarely buy something right away anymore either, although when Supernatural was my favorite show I would pre-order to make sure I got it early and also buy another set from either Target or Best Buy, depending on which one had the best store-specific extra.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I buy the DVDs for almost all my favorites so that if it's taken down from a site (Netflix is bad about that) or my computer crashes, I still have a hard copy. I totally get it.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Ah, the Munsters. Definitely a great choice. I totally forgot about deleted scenes which is funny because that's teh one part of the extras that I always watch. I wait until people I know have sorted out the best SDCC things to watch and then watch only a handful of those. It's much faster and I get the better quality ones that way.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Dean calling her Baby ALWAYS makes me smile and I love how Dean makes sure RoboSam knows that his "normal" car will never be as kickbutt as Baby.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yeah! It does remind me a bit of the Supernatural Impala and are both awesome cars. I also know 15 thousand other people are going to nominate the Impala so I went for something else ;)

    ReplyDelete
  90. I think #3 is going to give several people fits today. I rarely watch the bloopers of shows I haven't seen yet but that picture for Scandal was too enticing and the whole thing cracked me up. I especially liked the broken doorhandle and Voldemort.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Kate Beckett

    ReplyDelete
  92. The Enterprise was one of the first things I thought of when deciding to do this poll. She's iconic.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ha! To be honest both shows had many flaws. We watched Dukes as a family and I remember kids on the street wanting to do the car slide but never being able to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Are you planning to watch the new X-Files episodes this season?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Mine too, so I'm focusing more on the discussion and coming up with bonus polls just for fun.

    ReplyDelete
  96. That could be a really cool crossover idea when we do that as a TV Talk Topic.

    ReplyDelete
  97. This is my second favorite TV car ever. It saw almost as much action and rebuilding as Metallicar on SPN. I miss Burn Notice. Great picture by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  98. We have a surprising amount of variation in the nominations so far. I completely forgot about the Mystery Machine in Scooby-Doo. Talk about an iconic vehicle.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I was seriously gutted when Michael had to blow most of it up! I miss Burn Notice too!

    ReplyDelete
  100. That's good to hear!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I didn't realize Dushlku was in Banshee. I'll check out the posts. Females and Sam for me.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Mickey is the only one I'm really rooting for now but other than him Peggy and Matt are the only two left I'd vote for and I think this is the end for Matt! I tried Farscape but dropped it early in season 2. I think if it was airing now and I was watching weekly I'd probably stick with it though.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Me too. It was like the summer after Metallicar got t-boned and everyone was more worried about her than the human characters. I was constantly worried about the Charger since the first time he fire bombed her. I was seriously upset that he would harm that beautiful vehicle. I worried about her from that moment until the last. Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Farscape is one of my favorite sci-fi shows and that totally shocked me because I am not a fan of Muppets.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Seriously! I remember how on Livejournal after the Season 1 finale, people were way more upset about the Metallicar than they were for the fate of Dean, Sam and John, lol. It's amazing how we get so attached to inanimate objects.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Thanks. I look forward to it. I'm about to take a little break and watch some TV so I'll at least be inching my way towards Criminal Minds on the watchlist.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Ha! I'm sorry. It never fails t make me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  108. And that soundtrack.....gosh, got to love the show...

    ReplyDelete
  109. I love Scandal's cast, they're very close, they seem to have a lot of fun and they always post a lot of pictures from the set (most of them are pretty goofy). Well, I think that's because everything is changing and the Jeep is kind of his anchor and he doesn't want someone else to mess with her. Also, I don't see Stiles as a mechanic, so duct tape kind of fits him. I agree that he should take better care of her, though.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Livejournal. That brings back memories. On TV Without Pity, it was a running theme of how the car just had to make it through and people were feeling her probably death. That was the very longest hellatus of my life. In fact, that's when the term hellatus was coined because it really did feel like we were waiting in some kind of Crowley hell line for season 2 to get there. I remember at one of the interviews or conventions or something, Jensen got mock affronted by how much more seriously the fans were taking the possibility of Metallicar's death than that of Dean, Sam, or John. Hey, we had priorities.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I fear it's the leftover money woes from last season although I am really glad that we're not hearing about that every 5 seconds this season. Personally I think Stiles' moods are guiding the Jeep working or not but that's jsut my theory. I hope we learn more on Monday but I am very anxious about this episode because I think it will break my heart. It's gonna be a tough one.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yeah, I used to be 100% on LJ back in the day before Tumblr took over. It feels like forever ago! (and makes me feel really old, haha). We expected the Winchester family to continue taking a beating, but we didn't expect Kripke to go after the beloved Metallicar. I can never hear Bad Moon Rising without immediately thinking of that final scene!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I was more a Laverne and Shirley, Patty Duke, and Gidget watcher. I remember watching Soap and Three's Company because my parents did but I didn't get a lot of it back then. We did a lot of Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider when I was a little older. Oh and MacGyver and The A-Team.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Me either. Everytime it comes on when I'm driving I still turn the station and look around for semis. Nothing good happens driving to that song.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I am anxious about this one as well, but judging by Lydia's memories in Creatures Of The Night there will be more heartbreaks.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I hope DVDs don't disappear either. I like the confidence of knowing a show will always be there when I want to watch it. I completely understand wanting a Paley panel. I actually went to 3 different stores on the day the SPN DVDs came out jsut to get the one with the Paley disc in it. I also once drove to 3 Blockbusters to get the one with the mini Impala in it. I still have that on my desk at school. Soemtimes there are perks you can't find elsewhere.

I do love the Nerd HQ approach. I thinkt he reason i don't do a lot of SDCC stuff when it comes out these days is because there is such a diversity in quality. I usually wait until the dust settles and then just read other people's compilations after the fact. I am glad that the TV Topics work for you. They are still my favorite part of the contest, even if the polls are close. I feel like I get to know people better and they always spark my memory of other things.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Out of that list, I watched "Laverne and Shirley", "Patty Duke", "Soap", and "Three's Company". I don't think my family ever really got into the other shows (well, I think my mom might've liked "Gidget", but I don't remember watching it with her). But yeah, like you said, any of the jokes in those kinds of shows tended to go over my head, too, as a kid :p.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Agreed :). I'm glad there's so much of that out there for people, especially for people who want to get into that line of work. I always like looking at the writing side of things, since I love to write.
Oh, "Pop-Up Video" style commentaries on episodes would be FUN! I'd love that for some of the shows I watch :D. That'd be awesome. I can understand why some people aren't big on commentaries-I think it really depends on what all the people involved have to say about the episode and how invested they are in talking about it. I've enjoyed the ones done for the shows I watch, but I can see where, with some shows, it can be a bit boring.
Yeah, I love how thankful the "Community" cast and crew seem to be towards the fans with stuff like that. It's neat :). And the commentaries I have listened to, they seem to have a lot of fun chatting throughout. And yes, the "Twilight Zone" box set has LOTS of fascinating stuff on it-interviews with some of the notable actors who appeared on there, I think there's a couple scripts people can download and look at, the original sales pitch for the series, all sorts of random little things like that. It's pretty cool.
Ah, well, I may not have seen the show, but I am familiar enough with its premise and the cast/characters to where I might have a slight idea of what it's all about. And even if it's totally lost on me, I'm always up for seeing actors being silly and having fun, so hey :D.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Knowing that deans baby will get a billion votes, I'm going with the blueberry from psych. I always dreamed of getting one when I was younger (because I knew I'd never find a 1967 Chevy Impala) but then my best friend bought one so that worked out even better!!
Also love the dharma can from lost

    ReplyDelete
  120. Only votes for me today, Kate Beckett and Scully, I like the car that Esposito drives on Castle I think it's a dodge it's a sweet ride, also Castles sports car

    ReplyDelete
  121. Speaking of cool vehicles...Agent of Shield has a Helicarrier, Quinjets, The Bus and Lola the flying car!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Lola is definitely getting some nomination action. She is pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  123. oh wow! The Mystery Machine!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I decided to go with a really esoteric nomination of a car that stuck with me that 20 something years after the fact I had to find the show on IMDB and then happily discovered the DVDs.

It's the 1965 Corvette Stingray from a show called Stingray that ran from 1985 - 1987. Ray traveled the country helping people. The payment was that one day in the future he would contact you and ask you for a favor and you would do him that favor.

It came to mind before The Mystery Machine. But I'm not too worried. I figure the Stingray will get a total of one nomination so I can vote for They Mystery Machine in the poll :-)

    ReplyDelete
  125. I will re-watch when the initial shock wears off.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Why do always the characters I hate win??! :(

    ReplyDelete
  127. Since the pic for this round is from The Devil's Share, a relevant quote: "We need Root."

As for the Talk topic, I've followed POI more closely (by far) than I have any other show -- first three seasons on DVD (fourth preordered), for the show's great repeat value as well as the extra features. My favorite are the episode commentaries and anything with interviews; I love getting insight from the cast and crew. Convention appearances are also essential viewing.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Matt, The Doctor, Sam, and Scully for me.

DVD extras? Sometimes I do, it really depends on my mood when I have finished watching something. I mostly will with movies, I am sure I have not watched half of what I have available (I own way too many DVDS, but not that many of TV shows). I will go out and get a boxed set if I love a show. I always put a couple on my Christmas list to help round out collections.

I have only recently (last couple years) started searching things out to watch online, I like the BTS pictures and video mostly. I don't go too far because I don't like gossipy stuff and things that I feel are too personal. There's plenty of stuff to watch that is purposely put out to promote shows. There are some really entertaining things that casts do just for little snippets to tide us over in between seasons,
I like checking out the SDCC videos and interviews but it comes down to time, I just do little bits here and there.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Polls are easy today because I only watch one show. Don't watch POT or Daredevil but voting for Amy Adams because I think that picture looks badass...Beckett, Winchester, and Scully (though I haven't seen the X-Files either, they scared me as a kid and I think it's too old for me to enjoy).

Vehicle: Other than the Impala on SPN I don't really have any cars I really remember on TV shows. Of course there is Danny's car on Hawaii 5-0 where all the carguments take place and McGarett got his blue truck now so they don't have to share. Stefan Salvatore has his motorcycle every once in a while. I liked Veronica's car that she had but I would not consider it a character. I put my nomination for Serenity on Firefly, I have only seen the series once and I'm not sure I really appreciated it because I watched it quickly and I haven't seen the serenity movie but the ship was a huge part of the show.

TV show extras: I don't buy DVDs but if I do borrow from a friend/library I usually watch the extras in terms of director/actor commentary on episodes, gag reels (of course they are a must) and behind the scenes. Sometimes I have regretted, I watched like 30 minutes on mythology stuff (I think it was a movie though) that was super boring but overall I enjoy it. I like watching the Comic-con panels and interviews but in the last few years I have enjoyed them just as much after watching the premiere of the season. They don't actually end up telling much about the upcoming episodes, partially because they haven't started or because there are too many spoilers and they have to be super general and I don't need that suspence/stress in my life. I'm on this site of course so I enjoy my spoilers just as much as the next gal and want to know about actors I like on other shows and look at BTS photos. Depending on the show I like to read the press release, watch the clips and the promos but at the same time it can be a HUGE time waster to watch all these things especially when I have so many shows. I like the fan questions at comic-con the best because I feel like asking about what will occur on the show gets you nowhere. I would rather just know what the actors favourite episode of the past season was or scenes/ fight sequence or their thoughts on the arc of the character rather than:

    "How will ___ affect Character"

"Well you know Character will be dealing with a lot of new emotions after ___ and you know it's going to be a gamechanger and you know it's not just going to affect Character but really the whole tone of the show."

or the equally annoying (but sometimes necessary because actors are not given spoilers unless maybe they are producers)

    " Ooo that's a question for Executive Producer/Head Writer/Showrunner"

    ReplyDelete
  130. I expect Serenity to be well nominated because it was a character in Firefly like you said. You make a great point about SDCC. They always ask questions that there's no way anyone is going to answer even if they could. I actually prefer the stuff from SDCC where the actors are just having fun and goofing around instead of the panels.

    ReplyDelete
  131. My Christmas list always includes 1 or 2 as well because they are easy for family members to find and get. I try to stay away from show gossip as well. It rarely ends up being worthwhile and never worth the trouble. I would rather wach TV shows than spend a lot of time trying to find the best stuff to watch about them so I usually wait until others curate what's out there for me. It's rare that I want to know something so badly that I can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Generally commentaries are too long for my attention span so I prefer the interviews. I actually like print interviews better than video ones usually because I always feel like there's too much going on in the background for most of the video interviews I see.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Ha! I've never heard of Stingray and that's right in my middle to high school years. I might have to look that up.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I always feel like there's too much going on in the background for most of the video interviews I see.
That's true, certainly for interviews in the midst of an event, but I still prefer them since they feel fuller (tone, facial expression, etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  135. I went for Lola, the 1964 Batmobil (the thing is legendary) and the Omni...though I am not sure if the latter counts as vehicle since it is more a time travel machine, but if the Tardis counts as way of transportation.....(plus, I guess there won't be anyone other than me remembering the Omni either way...still think that it is the best time travel machine ever).

    ReplyDelete
  136. 8 Characters? I don't think I even had so many at the beginning of the context (other that Sherlock all the ones I really liked I wanted to go as far as possible are still in the context).

    ReplyDelete
  137. Yes, they did. That's funny that the neighborhood kids tried to imitate the hood slide. : )

    ReplyDelete
  138. I love SUPERNATURAL's brothers and all the cast !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Thanks for this work !!! It's always fantastic seeing and seeing again something about SUPERNATURAL, and all these things are always amazing !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Matt, Daryl and Scully for me today. I´m so happy that some of my favourite characters has made it to round 3.
Also glad to hear that there are even more votes than last year. Well done, Dahne!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Good that you remind me of the General Lee...the classics are the best.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Considering that she will be up against Root next, it most likely will. It is still too bad.
It is kind of surprising that the Sherlock Fandom is so lowkey here, but I guess it mostly goes on hiatus with the show.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Woah 3rd round and I still have someone to vote for (Daryl & Scully).

I like bts clips about how particular scene was made or how we make our show so awesome. Penny Dreadful has wonderful production diary about creating this whole Victorian beautiful monstrosity. Salem has 1x00 and 2x00 episodes about historical background of the series. I also remember funny clip showing how Hanni & Jack fight was shot and Greyston Holt's clip how they film werevolves in fast motion which was basically smashing the actors with branches. There's a lot of them and I try to keep up to date, but with so many shows sometimes it's not possible.
I don't know about deleted scenes, because it cause two kinds of reaction: WTH did they cut it? or It's so bad I regret watching it.
The best extras are definitely bloopers. Sadly less and less of my shows decide to show them and sometimes they're stupid in not funny way like when an actor/actress on purpose makes stupid faces. Hannibal, Bitten and The Originals season 2 bloopers were really funny,

  147. I dont think so. I know people will tell me that it will be watchable even without following the original but, much like 24 (a show that is always on my watch list), the ocd in me is too much to allow me to just jump into it like that. And i dont have time to go and binge all of the x files

  148. I'm old, but remember Magnums' Ferrari? Both the man and the car were great to look at!

  149. 1)Root
    2) The Doctor
    3) Daryl
    4) Scully

    Bonus: The Tardis

I don't really watch all the behind the scenes stuff of cast commentaries. I do though enjoy the gag reels, but I don't buy a DVD just for the special features. I don't buy too many DVD's in fact; as most shows are available through online streaming sites such as Netflix and Amazon I don't see a point.

However, the DVD's I do get of shows are my favorite ones - which include Game of Thrones, Person of Interest, The Middle, LOST and a few others. Ones that I think have a lot of reputability value to them - that you can just put on a random episode and be entertained.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Root, The Doctor, Daryl Dixon, and Dana Scully for me.

    ReplyDelete
  151. My best friend always buys the Middle DVDs so I always borrow them from her after she watches them. I love that I never have to buy them, but I really wish Netflix would add The Middle to its selection.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Sam and Scully for me.

    ReplyDelete
  153. When I was little I told my dad I wanted a car just like Grandpa Munsters when I got my license. It horrified my dad as in that moment, he realized he would be the one stuck teaching me to drive (Eventually he did get out of it, friends mostly taught me but my step-mom was the "official" teacher).

    ReplyDelete
  154. The thing I enjoy most and watch for every single show I watch is the gag reel. So fun.

Recently I came across a documentary on the making of music for Person of Interest. It was very interesting. I strongly recommend it. Especially if you're a fan of Ramin Djawadi (composer for Game of Thrones, too.)

  155. TV Talk Topic:
I don't have many DVDs, so I can't watch things like gag reels or stuff, which is not on youtube etc. I'm still a student, so I don't have much money to buy it. But I spend much time on my favorite shows beyond watching the episodes. I really like to read reviews and read commentaries from other users. In addition to that I have social media like twitter and tumblr, so I get in touch with other fans to talk about an episode. I also enjoy the week till the new episode with promo videos released and promo pics and stuff. I watch and read interviews with the cast as well.

  156. Voted for Leslie, who seems to be out of competition after this round. So I think I will only join the TV Talk Topics for the next days.

  157. Sorry the vote isn't going your way btu I'm glad you are still going to discuss with us.

  158. It's amazing how much show-related stuff you can find online these days without ever having to buy anything and getting to talk to other fans, sometimes halfway across the world, is one of the best things about TV nowadays. Do you ever live tweet? I'm debating whether I will live tweet H2G this year or not.

  159. I don't watch many extras but I do find the ones that specialize on an aspect of TV making, like music, to be the ones that interest me the most.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I've never heard of this one. For once, I can say that was before my time.

    ReplyDelete
  161. The Supernatural cast does a great job of randomly making things jsut for the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Deleted scenes are my favorite too.

    ReplyDelete
  163. This one is really interesting. I had no idea how exactly the making of music happened for TV shows/movies so now I have a bit of knowledge at least. Plus, the music on POI is amazing.

  164. I'm in denial that House lost. I have no one left. :P

    ReplyDelete
  165. Smart dad. I was designated driving teacher to my crew and it was nerveracking to say the least.

    ReplyDelete
  166. One Tree Hill always did features on how they picked their music and how it all fit into the show. Music was a big part of that show, and I found it really interesting.

  167. JENSEN, JARED and all the cast love the show and the SUPERNATURAL’s followers,

    ReplyDelete
  168. No, I would love to, but I can't, because of time zones. I would need to stay up until 4am or so if I want to watch an episode live. And with school starting at 8am I couldn't sleep. Neither would my parents allow that.

Do you mean How To Get Away With Murder? Sorry, I'm not that familiar with abbreviation. I even googled H2G and nothing (except How To Get Away With Murder) came in my mind what H2G could be lol

But if thats the case: You should definitely think about that! I think it would be fun, because the cast also live tweets (if I'm not wrong) and TGIT including How To Get Away With Murder is very twitter based.

  169. The Doctor and Scully for me today, sorry I didn't get to vote in the last round but being away for work makes it hard to get online Fri- Sat I'm afraid.

My favourite extras on DVDs are the commentaries, especially if they are informative ones rather than just the actors giggling their way through them. I find it interesting how scenes came together, for example, or why certain shots were used, or not used. Gag reels are also great, and I like to see deleted scenes.

  170. Magnum's boss's Ferrari was awesome! I caught a few episodes fairly recently, and had forgotten just how often Selleck wore those short shorts...... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  171. Haha yes, my brother and I went through a stage of trying to get in/out of our car via the window, only to get a clip round the ear from mum who would be outraged at our behaviour XD

    ReplyDelete
  172. I've got a few saved up, I've been waiting for some more news to come in before posting them but I may just do a post update with the social media bits as there's quite a bit now tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Darn work. Always getting in the way. :-P I tend to dislike actor commentaries because they usually are extra fluffy but occasionally I will listen to a director commentary.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Sherlock doesn't seem to get the love here that he does in other places. He always does okay but not spectacular in this contest.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Most definitely. I just don't want to see anything come between Scott and Stiles' friendship.

    ReplyDelete
  176. We were nuts for the Dukes of Hazzard in my neighborhood.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Our parents weren't thrilled with people on car hoods either. Then we gt a van and it ended it.

    ReplyDelete
  178. The classics are awesome, especially in vehicles.

    ReplyDelete
  179. I wouldn't jump into a mytharc heavy show either. I completely understand.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Ha! That Pysch car is pretty distinct as well. I haven't watched many episodes but it was perfect for the show.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I totally forgot about Buck Rogers. Thanks for reminding me.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Yeah, I was thinking pretty hard of any current vehicles and Lola was the only one I could come up with. All the others were invented at least a decade ago.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Just had to mention the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard. Grew up watching reruns of the show and that car was definitely another character on the show. Could argue the star of the show lol!

Love gag reels and panels for Supernatural, especially the mockumentaries, which they love to make of themselves for!

    ReplyDelete
  184. You are not the first...the show was already discussed. Honestly, most of the vehicles I came up with are from older shows. They are somehow way cooler.

    ReplyDelete
  185. All cars look the same these days so there's nothing distinct about most TV vehicles either. I love those older ones though. I had to look up the Onmi because I didn't know that one. Thanks for adding it.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Thanks to all of you guys for making the contest a hit. I think the close races have helped too. I'm glad your favorites are doing well.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Congrats. It's rare my favorites get past round 3 so Scully getting there is a minor miracle for me. I love the background ones and I might check out Salem's even if I don't watch the show anymore. I defintely see your point with deleted scenes even though that's one thing I always watch. I tend to be disappointed that they didn't get in more often than not. My problem with bloopers is that there's only so many times I can find flubbed lines funny.

That is an awesome car. Love it. I looked it up and it is a Jaguar XK150. Very classy.

    ReplyDelete
  188. YAY for the Roger vote!! I am undoubtedly biased, but I believe horses make the BEST vehicles. : )

    ReplyDelete
  189. I think that's inevitable, but I'm confident that they will sort it out.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Magnum was everything cool when I was a kid. I remember adult men trying to grow a mustache like his but it never worked as well. The car was fantastic too.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Ha! The Daisy Dukes for the male population. I forgot about that. Generally I only remember his Hawaiian shirts.

    ReplyDelete
  192. My biggest problem with Netflix and Amazon is that I never know when a show is going to be pulled from their lineup and then I can't see it anymore. I'm a big fan of watching certain episodes that I really like and I usually use streaming for that.

    ReplyDelete
  193. I wholeheartedly concur. If The Middle was on Netflix, I would have seen at least the first season by now. I can't believe a show with that many episodes is not streaming anywhere.
