JAMES WOLK, KRISTEN CONNOLLY, BILLY BURKE, NONSO ANOZIE AND NORA ARNEZEDER STAR IN “ZOO,” A NEW DRAMA SERIES BASED ON JAMES PATTERSON’S #1 BESTSELLING NOVEL, PREMIERING TUESDAY, JUNE 30
“First Blood” – Jackson Oz, an American ex-pat safari guide living in Africa, discovers a link between strange animal attacks on people occurring around the world and his late father's controversial theories about an impending threat to the human race. Meanwhile, journalist Jamie Campbell and veterinary pathologist Mitch Morgan team up to investigate similar abnormal animal behavior in Los Angeles, on the summer series premiere of ZOO, Tuesday, June 30 (9:00-10:00PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
ZOO, based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson, is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. Jackson Oz is a young renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa with his best friend Abraham, who has a deep understanding of wildlife. Shortly after the attacks begin, Oz begins to see a link between the strange animal attacks and his late father’s controversial theories about impending threats to the human race. In Los Angeles, news reporter Jamie Campbell is intent on being the first to break the story behind the mysterious animal behavior, and seeks the expertise of Mitch Morgan, an off-kilter veterinarian, who prefers the company of animals over people. Nora Arnezeder stars as Chloe Tousignant, a French investigator Oz meets in Africa. As the assaults occurring worldwide become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, Oz and the others are thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.

This sounds really interesting! I might Check it out
ReplyDeleteIt was an interesting pilot! Look for my preview to come in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteThe only show I am really excited about this summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it. I know they're completely different stories but I still get a The Ghost and the Darkness vibe from this show. I have no idea why. One is based loosely on a true story at the end of the 19th century. Zoo is complete modern fiction.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it.
So I just read an article on this at THR (it's from last month though) and they are wanting FIVE WHOLE SEASONS out of this concept. Seems a bit of an overreach for me... I'll probably at least watch the pilot and then just wait and see what happens, ha.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to this! Has that Planet of the Apes vibes which I love. And it has the awesome James Wolk so that's a plus. Can't wait for June 30th.
ReplyDeleteThey pretty much want it to be Under The Dome 2.0 which is planned for 5 seasons.
ReplyDeleteI believe Zoo is even being co-produced with Netflix like UTD is with Amazon.
Really excited for this
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this.
