All of them! So Glad Revenge was included because it is not even an Action show and it Has some of the best fighting scenes ever. But i think AoS would have to win this. Nevertheless i Picked revenge
Daredevil without a doubt!! I say this all the time but I can’t stop mentioning how awesome this show is :) It’s not only brutal but ridiculously cool.
before daredevil came out i didnt think arrow would have a rival in the fight scene department, but voila, i cant choose between the two, because they both have excellent fight coordinators.
Yeah I'm bit torn between Arrow and Daredevil. Daredevil made a big impression on me as I watched it so intensely, but Arrow does that as well when I binge watch it. Arrow - Daredevil - Agent Carter
Revenge definitely has the best fighting scenes! Personally my favorite was when Kate came to Emily's house. That was an extremely epic fight! Revenge deserves to win this by a long shot!
Imo the best has Strike Back. I love when they try to stay as realistic as possible and don't become to artsy or acrobatic - those moves in generally cost you too much time and strength/velocity. so I actually voted for Revenge rather than Arrow. My favorite fights on Arrow are those without the costume, loved Oliver on Corto Maltese (3x03)
Strike Back has some of the best fighting on TV and/or movies. I think SB and Banshee give us sheer, brutal and realistic fight scenes that are so beautiful to watch. The realism, the choreography, the direction. All of it. Not to mention, how long they last. It's not 30 seconds of pretty movements. It's long minutes of all out brawls. I love it.

Since i am weird, I always Check out scenes from shows i do not watch :D and i stumbled upon a fighting scene from banshee and woa, it was so real and gory that i could hardly watch! They do a very well job
Daredevil and AoS. The fight between Oliver and Ra's in the Arrow S3 finale was truly embarrassing for what was supposed to be the climax of a season. Heck, the action in S3 was generally pretty weak (like everything else). Agent Carter had good enough fights, but it's not up there with DD and AoS. Revenge wasn't an action show, so while its fight scenes were decent it can't really compare with the rest. Most of PoI's action scenes are really just brief, generic brawls with no noteworthy choreography, as much as I enjoy the rest of the show. And I don't watch Banshee or Continuum.
This is all very true! That arrow fight was underwhelming compared to the ones on the season 1 and 2 finale!! Revenge is not an Action show and therefore does not have many fighting scenes. The ones they do have, are great though
I usually don't care about fights scenes, especially if they're too long and serve as meaningless filler (Teen Wolf!), but I really liked how Ragnar fought with earl's people in first season of Vikings and some fights and sparings in Bitten.
This might be a case of reality is unrealistic. I don't know about Arrow, but a lot of the actors on AOS have martial arts training. For example, Clark Gregg has a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and does the majority of his own fight scenes. The only time he doesn't is usually for insurance reasons. The same with MingNa Wen. Also, Chloe Bennett's one-shot in the Dirty Half-Dozen was all her. There was no stunt double and she actually broke her arm in take that they used but stayed in character, the entire time.
Not all. They've mentioned that when he gets pulled into the room near the end they did a quick swap to a stunt double. After he stunt double does his sequence (the overhead kick and such) he collapses into the room on the right again, which allowed them to swap back to Charlie Cox.
Voted for Continun and Daredevil. Sense8 and The 100 have much better fight scenes though imo. The fight scenes in Dark Matter last night were really good too.
Banshee. Not only they have the most varied and well show fights, but they're done by actual actors. Daredevil is a runner up. Nice movies, but lacks variety and imagination, plus the quality of fight scenes took a huge dive after episode 3. Still very good for TV, but in reality where Banshee is pulling insanity like Burton vs Nola DD has to settle for runner up position.
I may rag on Arrow's plot and character development but there is no doubt that it has some of the best action scenes around. Agent Carter and SHIELD do action well too. Off the list, The Musketeers have fight scenes almost equl to Arrow's early stuff.
Thank you so much! Yes although there are not that many of them, when there are fight scenes they are so epic!! If you don't ever plan on watching Revenge you should check out this scene. It's definitely my favorite from Revenge. But be warned there will be spoilers if you plan to ever watch Revenge. http://youtu.be/Kd6132OMGxs
Thanks, i saw some videos below. I did watch two and a half seasons of Revenge, but got bored during season 3, so I dropped it. The first season was perfect, and I've read that it got better again on season 4 and 5. Now that it's over, maybe I'll finish watching the show someday.
Wow, I put Person of Interest on the list to try to make it longer, never expected it would be winning. There isn't a single comment as to why it has the best fight scenes, it'd be nice of some POI fans gave some reasons. Personally, I'm a POI fan, but I don't think it has the BEST fights, some really cool ones here and there.
Don't worry PoI doesn't have the best fight scenes. It suddenly became what BatB and SPN were and has a vocal fanbase here which votes all the time for it.
I google something like "Banshee fight scenes" under Google Images and then under "Search Tools", I select "Animated" under "Type". Find an animated image that I like (make sure it is animated), then I select the web address of that image (View image - click, copy and paste text from address bar). Then I paste that address into my comment. Disqus will automatically load the image. :)
Out of this list, Person of Interest has the best fight scenes. I find Daredevil, Banshee, Arrow, Flash, SHIELD all to have exaggerated or ridiculous fight scenes. Revenge is meh. Person of Interest has the best mix of exciting fight scenes without being too exaggerated.
One of the most epic fights ever on TV and this makes it all the better:
"We built a full day of shooting around it," says Yaitanes. "It took one full day to shoot and the actors spent six weeks training and rehearsing to be in physical shape to do it, because they're doing most of it -- and their stunt doubles are seamlessly woven in to the point where I can't even tell who's who anymore. That's how good and how solid their work was. They worked so hard on it, everybody did."
Loving the show is one thing, I love POI, I think is one of the best TV shows right now, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect. And in this case, the poll is about just one aspect of the show, it doesn't make it any less awesome. But I respect if some fans think it has the best fights, that's what I like about these polls.
I put it because some people think it has the best fights, and it's doing really well for some reason. I just wanted to know why they think it's good, that's all. And I'm not sure why I'm wasting your time, you're free to vote what you want, and I'm free to comment what I want.
The Musketeers is a fun, easy show to watch. It's like popcorn movies in that I don't have to think seriously about it but I never regret the time I spend watching or talking about it either. I adore sword fighting so that's one of my favorite thing about the show. I also love most of the characters, except for D'Artagnan and Constance who were ruined by shipping. Other than that, the characters are awesome, the plot moves swiftly, the action is fantastic, and the humor makes it so much fun. I highly recommend The Musketeers.
Me too because when I think of the first 2 seasons of PoI, the action doesn't come to mind as being that remarkable. Maybe things have changed since I stopped watching it,
Root's fights were awesome, i didn't know she could fight like that. I do think POI has some very good fights here and there, but overall, I find Banshee, for example, to have much better fights. But thanks for sharing a video, now people who don't watch the show can see something new.
It's way more violent than GoT to me. It has great action and drama where I think GoT has great drama but less action. It's not all violent though. It's just an all together great show. I don't recommend it to people who don't like bloody violence though.
Never seen Banshee or Strike Back and I've heard good things about their choreography, so I'll choose the shows I've actually watched...Daredevil and Arrow. Daredevil has a mixture of that smooth dance-like choreography you see in pretty much everything, but it does have its moments of some pure grit moves(which reminds me of The Dark Knight Trilogy's choreography) that showcases some of the deadliest punches and kicks I've seen on screen, especially the way they had Wilson Fisk fight. I'll also choose Arrow which choose the more choreographed part and sometimes while it looks too much at times(#RoyFlip), it's just so beautiful in motion. But it's weird how the action scenes look better when they're actually not in costume. I have always been a fan of the scenes where they're in civilian clothing and not in costumes...it looks so much better, imo.
Person of Interest has some great fight scenes as well, but I can only choose two :(
I think, after re-watching the entire series a second time, I'd say this is my favorite fight scene in the series. Daredevil/Fisk in the finale would be my second choice and I've always felt like the hallway scene is completely overrated. It is good, but I much prefer fight scenes that really explore the capabilities of both figures in said fight. The hallway scene was only portraying how far a tired and run-down Matt would go and to me, that doesn't tell me anything.
I agree with you in the costumes vs civilian clothing. My favorite Arrow fights are when Oliver has normal clothes on, like both fights in his house in season 1, Damage and Home Invasion.
A few I can remember now: - 2x09 Job in the Church - 1x08 Carrie vs Olek - 3x (I don't remember which episode) Carrie and Gordon in the pool - 3x03 Burton vs Nola, of course!
There's a lot more, but I can't remember the episodes.
While POI has never been super hand to hand combat heavy... well the really don't have that one evil bad-ass who can challenge reese and shaw in terms of fighting skills so usually physically most baddies you know well fall before john and sameen. the only time a 1 on 1 fight kind of challenged reese was hersh in season 2 but reese still won kind of. now if it isn't just restricted to just bare bones fighting then i could say john vs the swat team from The Devils Share ( very batman-ish ) and The Root vs Martine Gun 1 on 1 gun duel from prophets which are two of the best action pieces the show has ever done. they need an anti reese/shaw. someone who could stand toe to toe with both reese and shaw and actually win that way you could pose a physical challenge to them. think of the batman/bane theory from dkr
So I haven't gotten to Daredevil yet, but I just finished season 1 of Banshee thanks to y'all on here talking & recommending it and HOLY HELL! Best fight sequences I've ever seen on tv or movies... and I still have two more seasons to go.. s1 isn't perfect, but still super fun (mainly because of the fighting). I mean I was sold from the pilot with the bar scene & then Carrie/Olek, Hood/pretty much anyone.. I thought Jospeh Gatt was pretty awesome always whipping Bellamy's ass as Tristan in the 100. But The Albino/Hood fight! Man I cannot wait to catch up with this show.
Oh piss of to those idiots that voted for Arrow. They have the WORST fight sequences i've ever seen. It's laughable. All they do is spin around, air kick and miss by several feet. You can't seriously think they have the best fight sequences. The best fighting and most realistic goes to Person of Interest by far. Even better than Daredevil. People here are just voting for their favourite shows and not voting for best fighting.
That fight sequence in "Home Invasion" is possibly my favorite fight scene throughout the three seasons in Arrow. Probably the best portrayal of how Green Arrow should fight without his bow, imo.
The best means different things to different people. I love the fights on Banshee, but fully understand that they are not what everyone wants to see when they want to be entertained.
That's an opinion in the eyes of the beholder and mine see Banshee, all day long. Especially since you pointed out realism. Arrow's stunt coordination is amazing and the MMA fighting they train for is hard work. I don't think it's just twirling and spinning. MMA fighters everywhere would take umbrage with that statement. Also, isn't it the point to vote for your favorite? If it's their favorite, it stands to reason they think it's the best.
Lol, true. I think my avatar gives away my leanings in votes like this though, which is why the 'obviously' bit is there XD Can't wait to see more from Bunker next season!
I'm telling my age and don't care, but I remember TP when he was on a soap opera, Guiding Light. I knew then he was destined to be great. I had no idea how much he had grown though. He is so good. I can't wait to see more of him this season.
I hadn't realised that it was posted below too, should have read further down before getting eager to post it XD Yeah, it's a great one, I love the fluidity in this one, that just gives it the edge I think. Two awesome actors giving it their all! All the fights are epic though, Carrie/Olek def stands out too though, as does Siobhan and her ex and Hood & the fighter!
This is the first thing I've seen him in, I don't think he's been in anything else that's hit our screens over this side of the pond. I was glad that they found someone with the presence he has, and introduced him in that episode too. There needed to be something to soften the blow of that ending, and I think they choose well.
Lol yes, his last scene with Brock was one of the frustrating things about having the episodes early and not being able to talk about them. He blew me away in that episode, should be a good season next year.
I know its brand new, but "Sense8" should be listed as a choice. AMAZING Fight Scenes! Now, I'm sad to see Continuum go, as I'm a fan, but not sure why its on the list. So for me…#4 Person Of Interest #3 Daredevil #2 Sense8 #1 Banshee. Some fight scenes from Banshee That I haven't seen listed yet: Hood VS The Albino. Hood VS The Boxing Champion, And Everyone VS Rabbit's Ukrainian "Army" when attempting to save Hood at the end of season 1. Also, the pool fight I found extremely lame (logically) because The Mayor's fighting skill set came Way out of left field! In Season 1 he came on as an extremely wimpy character. I feel the same about Job, and his seemingly new found collection of black belts. The guy is my favorite character, but his character's skill set has always been that of "The Hacker" (Perhaps greatest, and probably most elusive) If you watch the Webisodes , he shows all the moxy of an out of shape field mouse, first when Hood is sent to Kill him, and later when they are on the run together. BTW, first comment. Dig the site.
Congrats on your first comment and welcome to the site! I've submitted this pool before Sense8 came out, that's why it's not an option. But that's why the "Other" option exists too. I did love Sun's fights, they were awesome. Continuum has some great fights, maybe not on the same level of other shows, but I thought it was worth including it.
Agreed. Sadly it´s fan base is not as big as the other shows. Banshee has better fighting scenes than any other show I have ever seen. I love Daredevil too, but it´s not even close.
If you don't watch it, then how would you know it doesn't have really good fight scenes? Are you just throwing shade at the show because you're upset it wins polls? Guess what? Maybe people genuinely do think it deserves recognition and aren't just voting for it for the sake of voting for it.
Ur the one throwing shade at yourself with this nonsense comment you've posted. I stated an obvious fact and clearly stated I have nothing against this show. My life doesn't revolve around these polls to even think about getting upset, it's yourbthe one who is upset cause U know it's true.
Um, "throwing shade at myself"? What even? You said several times in the comments section that you think POI fans are corrupting the poll and that you feel they're just voting for the sake of voting. You admitted that you don't watch the show, yet you declared it definitely didn't have the best fight scenes. You wouldn't be able to make such a claim unless you watch the show. So it seems very much as though you're throwing shade at it just because you're upset it's winning in lieu of your favourite shows.
I really don't care whether POI wins polls or not. Polls are pretty meaningless. But it's nice for fans to see POI gaining some recognition around the internet, especially because CBS is inches away from cancelling it after season 5 ends.
I just stated the obvious, that is simpy a pattern that rose these last couple of days/weeks. I didn't attack the show or said anything bad about it. I also stated that I heard only good things about the show but U simply read pass that. No recognition will save the show if the ratings are shitty. Rating wise the show flopped and seems like it doesn't work anymore for CBS like a bunch of other CBS veterans.
The very short sequence he had with the barbecue fork makes me think he'll be pretty brutal. Plus the training videos of Chris Coy that I've put up in the Banshee post are looking like Bunker's brother can handle himself pretty well too. Looking forward to their showdown!
And its ratings aren't really that bad. It averages 9 million live viewers, and in the core demo, it averaged 1.4-1.6 over the season. Those ratings are on par with CBS's average. The problem is that CBS doesn't own POI and therefore does not profit as much from it as it does from its other shows.
CBS is also pissed that POI is no longer mostly a procedural. Funnily enough though, the show garnered more recognition when it broke out of the procedural format to explore its underlying mythology and become sci-if in nature.
I also loved the Hood/Chayton one they had in the hotel just before the chase that led to his death. Wonderful choreography and camera work, I'm completely amazed that they managed to film it as well as they did in such a tight space.
I meant flopped in the finale ratings, I didn't express myself well. It dropped hard at the end. Obvious that isn't good enough for CBS. I always hate when people lose shows they love but that isn't the topic here.
I don't have that much time either, if I can watch one episode per day, it'll be a lot. I always say I'm going to watch a certain show from the start, but I rarely do. And there is always something new to watch. It's too much!!! :P
The Hallway scene was shot in only one take, doing that is really hard even for professionals. It might not be the best fight in the series (I liked the fight with the ninja better, Matt suffered a lot there), but it's hardly overrated.
It's overrated when people say it was all Charlie Cox and giving ONLY HIM credit. It's overrated when no one realizes that Oldboy did it first. It's overrated when people say that is the best fight sequence in Daredevil when a "best" fight sequence should be when both opposites bring in all of their A game. That is why the "best" scene shouldn't be the hero and just thugs as it makes for a lousy choice, imo.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
All of them! So Glad Revenge was included because it is not even an Action show and it Has some of the best fighting scenes ever. But i think AoS would have to win this. Nevertheless i Picked revenge
ReplyDeleteDaredevil without a doubt!! I say this all the time but I can’t stop mentioning how awesome this show is :) It’s not only brutal but ridiculously cool.
ReplyDeleteThese are revenge's best fighting scenes:

before daredevil came out i didnt think arrow would have a rival in the fight scene department, but voila, i cant choose between the two, because they both have excellent fight coordinators.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats Banshee. Most of their fight scenes seems so real and raw. I love that.
ReplyDeleteWell it's good you don't have to choose between the two then, you're allowed to choose two options in the poll.
ReplyDeleteBanshee, no doubt there.

ReplyDeleteWithout doubt: "Daredevil" !
ReplyDeleteArrow and Daredevil. Agents of SHIELD would have been my third pick.
ReplyDeleteI totally disagree.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is hard to disqus Banshee without lingering to rewatch.
ReplyDeleteyep.
ReplyDeleteWe need a Ranker type of poll for Banshee's fight scenes. That would be fun.
ReplyDeleteBanshee. No doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteWell, let us agree to disagree

ReplyDeleteYou know what i want to know and this'll take the magic out that AWESOME fight but was that all Charlie Cox?
ReplyDeletei wanna say banshee ,but after seeing daredevil it made my cut.
ReplyDeleteYou can vote for two
ReplyDeleteThat's what Chloe said in a recent comic con panel. I can't remember which one. If I remember, I will try to put up a link to the video.

ReplyDeleteMatthew rules!!
ReplyDeleteDaredevil for sure, that show is a BAMF at fight sequences !
ReplyDeleteArrow and AoS.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil

Whoa she rocks!
ReplyDeleteOh ok but at least he did the majority of it.
ReplyDeleteThese are http://bit.ly/1GAr4hk
ReplyDeleteBanshee and Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Revenge but I put it on the list for you Revenge fans, I've read several times that it had some great fight scenes.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. We would need 4 options though. :-) :-)

ReplyDeleteYeah you should really finish the series ;)
ReplyDeleteOf Course!! I did not have that much room
ReplyDeleteHow did you do those videos/images
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense. I think it's unfortunate that people vote for a show simply to make it win, regardless of what they're voting about. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteVery true even though i believe the love for the show is completely justified
ReplyDeleteArrow And Banshee

ReplyDelete"Arrow" & "Revenge" for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis 'little' scene from "Banshee" comes to mind as well.
Sounds complicated but thx :)
ReplyDeleteDaredevil, followed by Arrow.
ReplyDeleteI heard that Banshee has some spectacular fighting scenes, but I haven't watched that show, so I can't judge
I don't watch it but barely heard a bad thing about the show.
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome. I will get you a list. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOut of this list, Person of Interest has the best fight scenes. I find Daredevil, Banshee, Arrow, Flash, SHIELD all to have exaggerated or ridiculous fight scenes. Revenge is meh. Person of Interest has the best mix of exciting fight scenes without being too exaggerated.

ReplyDeleteDahne is going to make a poll for us. Do you mind listing some of your favorites?
ReplyDeleteBurton vs Nola is one of the best fights ever.
ReplyDeleteWhy is revenge meh?
ReplyDeleteOne of the most epic fights ever on TV and this makes it all the better:
ReplyDelete"We built a full day of shooting around it," says Yaitanes.
If you don't think POI is not good enough, don't put it on this poll in the first place. Don't waste my time!
ReplyDeleteNo problem. If you e-mail it to dahne@spoilertv.com I can get it up sometime this week.
ReplyDeleteLoving the show is one thing, I love POI, I think is one of the best TV shows right now, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect. And in this case, the poll is about just one aspect of the show, it doesn't make it any less awesome. But I respect if some fans think it has the best fights, that's what I like about these polls.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched The Musketeers but I see it's really popular here. I may have to try it.
ReplyDeleteRevenge has some nice fight scenes but also some boring ones. From what I saw the fight scenes were uneven IMO.
ReplyDeleteWTF at that second one!!! I will have nightmares now
ReplyDeleteOh okay👍
ReplyDeleteI put it because some people think it has the best fights, and it's doing really well for some reason. I just wanted to know why they think it's good, that's all. And I'm not sure why I'm wasting your time, you're free to vote what you want, and I'm free to comment what I want.
ReplyDeleteI Would be really interested in seeing a POI fighting scene
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers is a fun, easy show to watch.
ReplyDeleteIf you a fan of POI like you said, you knew they had a lot of best fights.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSPlIJPfU5o
Carrie fights bully/Siobhan fights ex. These women are brutal.
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/qvWQEuBuv5c
Me too because when I think of the first 2 seasons of PoI, the action doesn't come to mind as being that remarkable. Maybe things have changed since I stopped watching it,
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell?! What Kind of show is that?! It is Almost as violent as GOT and that is saying sth!!
ReplyDeleteRoot's fights were awesome, i didn't know she could fight like that. I do think POI has some very good fights here and there, but overall, I find Banshee, for example, to have much better fights. But thanks for sharing a video, now people who don't watch the show can see something new.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking through YT right now and I can't find a good one to post. I don't know the show like the fans do though. Maybe they'll post a favorite.
ReplyDeleteAlmost as violent? You have NO idea ;)
ReplyDeleteBanshee - "Where the men are badass and the women will f' you up." My favorite tweet ever.
ReplyDeleteLOL Spot on!
ReplyDeleteIt's way more violent than GoT to me. It has great action and drama where I think GoT has great drama but less action.
ReplyDeleteIt's not all violent though. It's just an all together great show. I don't recommend it to people who don't like bloody violence though.
Banshee easily. Followed not far behind by Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could remember which episode that person tweeted this but I just remember loving it.
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome Banshee fight. Carrie and Gordon picking up their daughter, another normal day in Banshee.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB1E1NgaOlc
I have realized!
ReplyDeleteI watch GOT in spite of all the violence but other than that, I prefer Network shows that are not as violent
ReplyDeleteSadly there was no season 5. But I loved the 4th season and the last episode was very touching.
ReplyDeleteI laughed so much at those men. She kicked their ass.
ReplyDeleteI am never watching a banshee fighting scene again :D way too violent for me
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know were I got the idea there was a season 5. Sorry! So all I need to watch is one and a half season, I can do that.
ReplyDeleteHow about a nice revenge fighting scene: not violent and also not the best but just for courtney love:
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/ngCMaJR5q5E
This scene is not that violent, still awesome though.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it is but still ;)
ReplyDeletegonna give it to Banshee, but daredevil is bringing in a close 2nd..
ReplyDeleteBanshee takes the cake - absolutely brutal and gritty fights. Close second is Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteHannibal, Game of Thrones and Nikita.
ReplyDeleteYes! You're fine! I understand the middle is season three got boring but trust me things will heat up!
ReplyDeleteNever seen Banshee or Strike Back and I've heard good things about their choreography, so I'll choose the shows I've actually watched...Daredevil and Arrow.
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest has some great fight scenes as well, but I can only choose two :(
I think, after re-watching the entire series a second time, I'd say this is my favorite fight scene in the series.
ReplyDeleteMajor Crimes :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you in the costumes vs civilian clothing. My favorite Arrow fights are when Oliver has normal clothes on, like both fights in his house in season 1, Damage and Home Invasion.
ReplyDeleteA few I can remember now:
ReplyDelete- 2x09 Job in the Church
- 1x08 Carrie vs Olek
- 3x (I don't remember which episode) Carrie and Gordon in the pool
- 3x03 Burton vs Nola, of course!
There's a lot more, but I can't remember the episodes.
Banshee & Daredevil
ReplyDeleteSorry. ;)
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG0oGL22gO4&list=PLf6mbG-pu6XmGOxxF3zLLSDW1-orvTKud
ReplyDeleteWhile POI has never been super hand to hand combat heavy... well the really don't have that one evil bad-ass who can challenge reese and shaw in terms of fighting skills so usually physically most baddies you know well fall before john and sameen. the only time a 1 on 1 fight kind of challenged reese was hersh in season 2 but reese still won kind of. now if it isn't just restricted to just bare bones fighting then i could say john vs the swat team from The Devils Share ( very batman-ish ) and The Root vs Martine Gun 1 on 1 gun duel from prophets which are two of the best action pieces the show has ever done. they need an anti reese/shaw. someone who could stand toe to toe with both reese and shaw and actually win that way you could pose a physical challenge to them. think of the batman/bane theory from dkr
ReplyDeleteMcGarrett x WoFat episode 100 of Hawaii Five-0
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Daredevil. AOS fight scenes are pretty good too, with all their female badass'
ReplyDeleteSo I haven't gotten to Daredevil yet, but I just finished season 1 of Banshee thanks to y'all on here talking & recommending it and HOLY HELL!
ReplyDeleteBanshee and Daredevil !!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you have seen Banshee I am 99,9 % sure you would vote for it. Would been interesting to know how many of the voters actually have seen banshee!
ReplyDeleteSense8
ReplyDeleteI loved Sun's fights. She's the best :P
ReplyDeleteOh piss of to those idiots that voted for Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThat fight sequence in "Home Invasion" is possibly my favorite fight scene throughout the three seasons in Arrow. Probably the best portrayal of how Green Arrow should fight without his bow, imo.
ReplyDeleteBanshee, obviously.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you're enjoying it, wait until you get to the fight in 3.03...best damn fight on TV ever! ;)
ReplyDeleteNola v Burton is my fav!

Nola v Burton is my fav!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpidcBDY1EY
Definitely Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteThe best means different things to different people. I love the fights on Banshee, but fully understand that they are not what everyone wants to see when they want to be entertained.
ReplyDeleteThat's an opinion in the eyes of the beholder and mine see Banshee, all day long. Especially since you pointed out realism.
ReplyDeleteArrow's stunt coordination is amazing and the MMA fighting they train for is hard work. I don't think it's just twirling and spinning. MMA fighters everywhere would take umbrage with that statement.
Also, isn't it the point to vote for your favorite? If it's their favorite, it stands to reason they think it's the best.
Duh! But it wouldn't have been very entertaining if I just listed "Banshee, Banshee, Banshee and...oh yes, Banshee" as options :D
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of watching this one. I'm torn between this one and Carrie vs Olek as my favorite. This one is ahead a bit :)
ReplyDeleteLol, true. I think my avatar gives away my leanings in votes like this though, which is why the 'obviously' bit is there XD Can't wait to see more from Bunker next season!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've noticed you like your Bunker :P He's a great adition, I'm sure we'll see a lot of him!
ReplyDeleteI'm telling my age and don't care, but I remember TP when he was on a soap opera, Guiding Light. I knew then he was destined to be great. I had no idea how much he had grown though. He is so good. I can't wait to see more of him this season.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't realised that it was posted below too, should have read further down before getting eager to post it XD Yeah, it's a great one, I love the fluidity in this one, that just gives it the edge I think. Two awesome actors giving it their all! All the fights are epic though, Carrie/Olek def stands out too though, as does Siobhan and her ex and Hood & the fighter!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first thing I've seen him in, I don't think he's been in anything else that's hit our screens over this side of the pond. I was glad that they found someone with the presence he has, and introduced him in that episode too. There needed to be something to soften the blow of that ending, and I think they choose well.
ReplyDeleteLol yes, his last scene with Brock was one of the frustrating things about having the episodes early and not being able to talk about them. He blew me away in that episode, should be a good season next year.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil! It was my answer before I even read the options.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Banshee. Daredevil and Strike Back are top contenders, too.
ReplyDeleteDaredevil & Strike Back
ReplyDeleteI know its brand new, but "Sense8" should be listed as a choice.
ReplyDeleteBTW, first comment. Dig the site.
Banshee should be #1. Those scenes are so brutal and realistic. They're even better then Daredevil.
ReplyDeleteDont forget Siohban and her ex! I loved that Scene! Especially when she kicked his ass with the bible. It was hilarious. Even Hood laughed at the end.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your first comment and welcome to the site!
ReplyDeleteI've submitted this pool before Sense8 came out, that's why it's not an option. But that's why the "Other" option exists too. I did love Sun's fights, they were awesome.
Continuum has some great fights, maybe not on the same level of other shows, but I thought it was worth including it.
Glad to see you're another Banshee fan!
Sense 8. Capheus/Sun Figths the gang. Also daredevil's fight with Nobu.
ReplyDeleteWithout any doubt-Daredevil & AoS.
ReplyDeleteHonorable mention-Arrow.
S\upernatural
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Sadly it´s fan base is not as big as the other shows. Banshee has better fighting scenes than any other show I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI love Daredevil too, but it´s not even close.
Yes, we would like to see Bunker in some fighting scenes swell. He should be very pissed off in episode one, so hopefully he´ll get some action.
ReplyDeletePOI. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v0gn8tGlzvM
ReplyDeleteIf you don't watch it, then how would you know it doesn't have really good fight scenes? Are you just throwing shade at the show because you're upset it wins polls? Guess what? Maybe people genuinely do think it deserves recognition and aren't just voting for it for the sake of voting for it.
ReplyDeleteUr the one throwing shade at yourself with this nonsense comment you've posted.
ReplyDeleteI stated an obvious fact and clearly stated I have nothing against this show.
ReplyDeleteI really don't care whether POI wins polls or not.
ReplyDeleteNo recognition will save the show if the ratings are shitty. Rating wise the show flopped and seems like it doesn't work anymore for CBS like a bunch of other CBS veterans.
Always great to see a new Banshee fan. Welcome! :)
ReplyDeleteThe very short sequence he had with the barbecue fork makes me think he'll be pretty brutal. Plus the training videos of Chris Coy that I've put up in the Banshee post are looking like Bunker's brother can handle himself pretty well too. Looking forward to their showdown!
ReplyDeleteNever said recognition would save the show.
ReplyDeleteAnd its ratings aren't really that bad.
ReplyDeleteI meant flopped in the finale ratings, I didn't express myself well. It dropped hard at the end. Obvious that isn't good enough for CBS.
ReplyDeleteI always hate when people lose shows they love but that isn't the topic here.
You're right! That was another amazing fight. All of this is making me want to watch Banshee from the start again...maybe I will!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had time to :( Lol
ReplyDeleteI don't have that much time either, if I can watch one episode per day, it'll be a lot. I always say I'm going to watch a certain show from the start, but I rarely do. And there is always something new to watch. It's too much!!! :P
ReplyDeleteMarvel and DC shows both do great in that department...
ReplyDeleteyes, it will be epic.
ReplyDeletePOI and Arrow
ReplyDeleteDaredevil was the runaway winner IMO here.
ReplyDeleteI had trouble picking 2nd between POI, Arrow & Continuum. So I went with the underdog & took Continuum.
Person Of Interest has tons of viewers just watching for John Reese's combat and fight scenes. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_mMgSUriHg
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest: John Reese fighting

And of course Reese watching amateur UFC-style fight in Person of Interest:
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/Gv0LKqsA2G0?t=1m21s
The Hallway scene was shot in only one take, doing that is really hard even for professionals. It might not be the best fight in the series (I liked the fight with the ninja better, Matt suffered a lot there), but it's hardly overrated.
ReplyDeleteIt's overrated when people say it was all Charlie Cox and giving ONLY HIM credit.
ReplyDeleteThanx Dude. Sorry I was out for awhile there (work)
ReplyDeleteThanx. Love Sun's fight scenes as well. ( I would love to have my butt kicked by her)

ReplyDeleteSense8…Enjoy!
Added it For ya!
