I loved Lexi and never really liked Damon since but it would be silly to bring her back to be on the Originals so I voted for Kol and would love for them to recast him again hah just for fun :)

Katherine was such a better character than Elena with infinitely more potential. so much wasted efforts trying to keep Elena relevant, they should have put Elena to sleep years ago and keep only Katherine.
They used her blood last season, might as well just being the character along. Poor Bennett witches, they don't even have to be on-screen to be misused as a plot device.
I know and even the mention of her was such a nice throw back to the great times. Seems like in an ancient language Bennett meant Plot Device. ^^ I mean we'll have our hands full with the Heretics, but adding a Bennett witch to help out Bonnie would be nice.
Kat graham did such amazing work in Season 6.She definitely deserves a major SL next season which doesn't involve being a plot device for the Salvatore Brothers.
I mean come on, he is a spoiled brat just pushing against walls. Never really added anything positive to the story. Maybe by the end of his S02 run, but overall NO!
Kol Mikaelson - I must be one of few who liked Daniel Sharman's performance for giving this character some depth (do not confuse with Davina's stuff) and those brief flashbacks showed that I couldn't stand Kol being unreasonably evil again. it was fun when he was introduced in season 3 of TVD, but now I don't see him in the show. Katerina Petrova - What's the point? Lexi - No, just no. She's annoying hypocrite. Finn & Mikael - They've already served a purpose. How much longer can I listen to 'kill da bastard, why? I don't know'?
Silas - That would be fun, but only for 2/3 episodes Gia - I'm not a fan of her, Elijah can find another shoulder to cry on/zip tu unzip.
Kol didn't ring any bells for me but he was awfully good to look at. I think that was his main attraction, but he did have a nice bad boy vibe which I liked.
Both Kol actors are beautiful man, no discussion there. The bad boy vibe was there but really didn't add anything to the story. They didn't give him enough space to develop a story or character for that matter. Some nice potential wasted.
The one person I would like to see return to TVD is Lucy Bennett, Bonnie's cousin. She was only in one episode ("Masquerade") but she made a huge impression on me and every season I've hoped she'd reappear. Such a terrific character and actress. Now seems like a good time to bring her back, not to take anything away from Bonnie but as a support and confidant for her younger cousin.
Bonnie's emotional problems have tripled. She's still suffering from PTSD, her best friend is for all intents and purposes lost to her forever, plus we all know Bonnie's going to feel guilt over Elena. I know Caro is Bonnie's friend but she has a lot of her own drama going on, plus without Elena as a buffer between the two of them we're going to be more aware of how different Caro and Bonnie are (vampire/witch) and how they think (super practical/super sensitive). I think Julie should definitely bring back Lucy.
I think I have to agree with you. Kol had promise on TVD but he kind of existed in his own bubble, not much of a contributor, at least not for long. But that's the writers' fault.
You make me wonder where TVD could have gone if what you propose had actually happened. Plus you made me laugh - "put her to sleep years ago" - priceless!
I think they killed Katherine because Nina was tired of the burden of playing her, and because it seemed like the right time. It was a great ride while it lasted, though. RIP Katherine.
They wanted him do be the Wild Card but didn't approach it the right way. As U said it's the writers fault they could've done much better with him. Especially if they introduced his longing for magic earlier and explained why he was the outcast.
I'm interested if at any point the Original Wolf story will be told. I thought it would come with Klaus Dad or his Dad's pack appearing but we didn't get either. With that mentioned we need Klaus dad back, he was so great in those 2-3 eps he appeared and he barely interacted with anyone besides Klaus. But don't know how far that is possible with the other side destroyed.
As much as Katherine Pierce aka Katerina Petrova is one of my all time favorite characters in the history of television ... since Nina isn't coming back I pick Lexi to return to TVD as she is my second favorite and the chance of her returning is possible at least. Also I pick Kol and Mikael.
Most of the actors are in there late 20s or early thirty lol. Daniel S is 29 while Nate is 31, which is the same age or young as most of the lead actors lol.
Kol and Mikael. Definitely! And let me specify, Nate's Kol not Daniel's. Daniel did a wonderful job as him, but Kol will always be Nate in my eyes. I would have voted for Finn instead of Mikael, but The Original's massacred him for me. I loved brooding Finn from TVD but they made him a horrid person on the Originals. Also, I would have voted for Katherine, but well, Nina's gone, so why waste my vote? I would LOVE her return though. Katherine was and always will be one of my very favorite characters from the series. I am still furious with how they ended her storyline. Darkness swept her away.... SERIOUSLY? I honestly thought that was an opening for a plot that would be addressed in season 6 or 7. Well, I didn't know Nina was leaving. I knew long ago she said she felt good with the series have 6 seasons, but I thought she'd stay on if the show continued. And now poor Katherine is just gone. Seriously? See, I still have a lot of angst about this. And my runner up would be LEXI! Honestly, TVD could really use her to liven things up, I believe. Especially now that one of their female leads is gone. The only reason why Lexi was not my first choice was because her finding "peace" was beautiful.

Cami & Hayley are horrible characters, and Gia was the best female character they've had thus far on the show and it was IMO a huge mistake to kill her off. I always thought they'd bring her back. In Season 2 when she left she told Bonnie that she'd see her again and then Damon said in Season 6 that he'd gotten Lucy's blood to use the ascendant, so they could have brought her back at that point - to rescue Bonnie.
I've been wanting Lucy back for years. I finally let go of that hope this season, or maybe late last season. It's never gonna happen. Wish someone would ask JP about her, but oh well, guess no one cares.
Season 2 kat was awesome, but they played with her. Character a bit too much where she just became a bit annoying.
Kol has so much potential if given the right storyline. He was soo good in 4.12 of tvd, if used in the right way he could have been the best big bad tvd has ever seen. Why his past with Damon was never explored, for example...missed opportunity.
On The Originals, I wouldn't mind Kol being brought back but only if it's with the original actor -- enough with the body jumping. Wishing for Katherine to come back is fairly useless given Nina is no longer on TVD; I can't see her wanting to be on either show.
I liked Gia and she is my third favorite after cami and haley and I am a Elijah and Haley shipper but I liked Gia and Elijah in a way also, but I had to vote for Kol but I would not mind Katherine. But Kol is my number one pick

For me That would be Elijah hands down.
