20:45 - Ben 10 Gets Cartoon Network Reboot
IT’S HERO TIME!
Cartoon Network Announces All-New Television Series for the Global Phenomenon Ben 10!
Worldwide Rollout Begins in 2016
Cartoon Network is introducing a brand new Ben 10 to a new generation of fans across the globe with an all-new television series. The new animated series, based on the highly successful franchise about an alien-powered kid hero, is being produced by Cartoon Network Studios and will premiere on Cartoon Network international channels in the fall of 2016 and in North America in 2017. Man of Action will executive produce for Cartoon Network Studios and John Fang (Mixels, Generator Rex) is on board as supervising producer.
Cartoon Network’s fresh take on Ben 10 will center upon a new animated series re-introducing the energetic, fun-loving, 10-year-old Ben Tennyson. At the core of the new Ben is a healthy serving of action, excitement, and all-around fun. Featuring many new and fan-favorite aliens, the series kicks off with the adventures of Ben, his cousin Gwen, and Grandpa Max as they travel the country during summer vacation. When Ben finds the mysterious Omnitrix, a world of alien superpowers opens up to him.
“We decided it was time to introduce Ben to a new generation of kids,” said Cartoon Network Chief Content Officer Rob Sorcher. “Ben 10 has been an overwhelming success story across all media platforms, and we know kids around the world will be eager to see the reinvention of this beloved character.”
Ben 10, the original precedent setting series, premiered on Cartoon Network in January 2006, to high ratings and an immediate admiration for the title character. Many boys and girls wanted to be a kid hero, just like Ben. The success of this series spawned three additional, original, animated series (Ben 10 Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Ben 10: Omniverse), one animated movie (Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix), and two live-action movies (Ben 10: Race Against Time, Ben 10: Alien Swarm). The adventure began when 10-year-old Ben Tennyson discovered a strange alien device, The Omnitrix, which locks itself onto his wrist and allows Ben to morph temporarily into one of 10 alien heroes.
The powerful global franchise for Cartoon Network has been a proven sales success led by top-selling toy, interactive and home entertainment franchises generating more than $4.5 billion in global retail sales to date.

20:30 - Blythe Danner & Lyne Renee Join ABC’s ‘Madoff’ Miniseries; Michael Esper In NBC’s ‘Shades Of Blue’
Blythe Danner (I’ll See You In My Dreams, Meet The Parents) and Lyne Renee (Strike Back) have joined the cast of ABC’s Madoff miniseries. City Island helmer Raymond De Felitta directs the project, which is currently in production. Inspired by ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross’ reports and his book The Madoff Chronicles, the mini follows the rise and spectacular fall of the now-imprisoned swindler and the $65 billion Ponzi scheme he concocted. Danner will play Ruth Madoff, the wife of Bernie Madoff, played by Richard Dreyfuss. Renee, repped by Abrams Artists, Vanguard Management Group and The Artists Partnership in the UK, will play Catherine, the unassuming owner of a fishing store and Andrew Madoff’s second wife. De Felitta is repped by APA.
Michael Esper (Nurse Jackie, Frances Ha) has booked a recurring role in Shades Of Blue, NBC’s straight-to-series drama directed by Barry Levinson. The series follows a tight-knit crew of police officers who are effective at keeping the streets safe but also corrupt when it comes to lining their pockets and protecting their own. When one of the officers (Jennifer Lopez) is forced to become a federal informant, she must decide between her own family’s welfare and that of her police family. Esper, repped by Gersh and Sweet 180, will play Donnie Pomp, a lieutenant with Internal Affairs who tries to drive a wedge between the characters Wozniak (Ray Liotta) and Harley (Lopez). Esper most recently starred in Broadway musical, The Last Ship.

20:15 - Ellen DeGeneres to Produce Adaptation of Naomi Novik's Fantasy Novel 'Uprooted'
Warner Bros. won a heated bidding war for the movie rights to Uprooted, the new fantasy novel from Hugo Award-nominated Naomi Novik, the author behind the dragon-laced Temeraire book series.
Making a rare foray into features with the tome is Ellen DeGeneres, who will produce the adaptation with Jeff Kleeman. Kleeman, her partner at A Very Good Production banner, identified the book and brought it to DeGeneres.
The plot centers on a young woman named Agnieszka, who lives near the border of an evil wood, with only a wizard named Dragon who seems to keep the danger at bay. The price for the man’s protection is that a woman from the village is sent to serve him for 10 years, and to everyone’s surprise, the rather plain Agnieszka is selected. Thus the adventurous journey begins.
