15:00 - Apple Subscription TV Service Wont Be Announced Next Week
Apple won’t be announcing its much-anticipated subscription TV service next week at its Worldwide Developer Conference, according to several people with knowledge of the situation.
The Cupertino technology company has told network executives the planned unveiling will be postponed because Apple has yet to finalize the licensing deals. Industry executives predict Apple’s Web TV offering may not launch until later this year, or in 2016. Technology and money issues remain sticking points.
Apple wanted to launch a subscription TV service in early fall to coincide with the start of the new broadcast television season. But the debut got bogged down by negotiations over financial terms and new technology that would be required for broadcasters to deliver local programming to Apple’s Web TV service.

Arrested development is one of those rare gems, I watched it for the first time in my life around a year and a half ago. While I'd like to see more i found the 4th season not the best.
ReplyDeleteTo hear those 100 teases knowing the wait is still so long is torture. I can't wait for the show to be back.
ReplyDeleteElsewhere, I am glad we will meet Virgina's parents on MoS.
The 4th season really suffered from cast scheduling problems, the characters hardly interacted because getting the cast together was really hard due to their other commitments. If they can fix that then I think it has a chance of being better.
ReplyDeleteIn case anyone missed it in, 301 JR also teased Clarke will say "yu gonplei ste odon" so I'll say her walkabout does not go so well (like anything else in the 100)!!! Midseason is too far away
ReplyDeletei6ombie ratings are in. Guess what it got?
ReplyDeleteAhahah I didn't know Apple was from Cupertino, I lived there for 2 years and my school had all Apple computers and laptops and I never bothered to ask why..this explains it LOL they must've been donating them
ReplyDeleteWTF is with all these companies doing first deals with Apple?! It's pathetic.
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of money :)
ReplyDeleteWell, HBO's deal means I won't be considering getting their service on Android for at least a year until season 6 of GoT begins. Same with Showtime, by the time it's on Android I won't need or want it anymore because by then, I'll be able to buy PD season 2 on Google Play. So those are two services I would have been willing to pay for had they been available to me in a timely manner. It's not as if these deals make it any more tempting to me to buy an Apple device, especially considering I've had them and hated them.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Starz will launch their own by the time Da Vinci's Demons starts and not do an exclusive thing with Apple and just make it available everywhere at once.
LMAO that Stardust guy would make a great villain stalker for Felicity in s4
ReplyDeleteHow weird we just had a poll of Stephen King books turned into series and now we got rumors of a dark tower movie?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.gamesradar.com/nikolaj-arcel-early-talks-direct-stephen-kings-dark-tower/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=totalfilm
I didn't watch The Millers or The McCarthys but good of CBS for burning them off.
ReplyDelete"Your fight is over"... Yes, I actually missed it.
ReplyDeleteIn early April he also tweeted that Polis, the Grounder capital, isn't Annapolis, as many of us assumed, and that no one will figure out what/where it is.
https://twitter.com/JRothenbergTV/status/584441694990381056
I'm so excited about exploring new places with Clarke in S3 (and hopefully with the kids who will send out a search party to get her back...).
ReplyDeleteBut I'm also sure it means we won't see her reunited with her people within a couple episodes, or anytime soon at all. :(
Clarke is not going to Polis though (also something JR confirmed in one of his twitter Q&A's) lol .. It's likely they'll steer clear of it until when/if they write Lexa back in & thats doubtful for early s3 atleast.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about that, actually i forget why i disliked that season. I think it was also the storylines. before season 5 airs I'll have to rewatch the whole series.
ReplyDelete'Sister Act' Remake? Really?! I could maybe handle another sequel, but even that's a big fat "maybe".
ReplyDeleteRe The Millers & The McCarthys burnoff: I'm glad they are going to air the episodes, even if I didn't watch either show. But I think since you produced them you might as well put them out there... right?
Re Night on Bald Mountain live action: I dunno... I might like this if they go as dark as they can...
Community: #sixseasons #andamovie (really that is all that show needs...)
Doc Martin sounds like it could be fun! Haven't seen the original though...
Paper Towns looks really cute!
I'm gonna assume Michael Smith's hiring on Mysteries of Laura has a lot to do with trying to reinvigorate the show for S2...he's got the procedural pedigree they seem to want to move this show towards that's for sure.
That Gotham cast interview vid was great! The show really won me over once I started watching and now I'm super hooked and looking forward to S2!!!
