The SpoilerTV 2015 Episode Competition - Day 13 - Round 3: Polls 1-4
Jun 28, 2015
2015 Episode Competition Arrow Game of Thrones Once Upon A Time Outlander Person of Interest The Mentalist The MusketeersDAY 13! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)
Hey all,
The second round has come to an end, and we have only five days left of the competition. That means that we are full steam ahead now with only 16 episodes remaining. There are some mouth-watering battles set for the third round, and it can only get more tense from there. It's up to the fans of every show still left in this competition to share the polls as much as you can - it will be the fandom that can spread the word the most that will win.
Of those 16 episodes left, not one of them comes from Beauty and the Beast, which means... we will have a new winner come Thursday afternoon. Beast's only entry this year crashed out at the hands of The Mentalist's series finale. Other notable exits in the second round include The Flash's season finale losing to Outlander's 'The Wedding', Supernatural's tenth season finale being knocked out by The Musketeers, both of The Walking Dead's entries - 'Conquer' and 'No Sanctuary' - were beaten by Game of Thrones and Outlander, respectively, and The 100's 'Spacewalker' was narrowly beaten by Castle's seventh season finale. We lost two seeds in the second round - who knows how many more we will lose in the third?
The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition! Social media is your best friend in this competition if you want your favourite episode to win.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly. Let's not have any abuse directed at any person, fandom or show, as we've had on occasion in the past.
The draw:
Don’t forget to share the post; the more people vote, the more chance your episode has of winning!
Check back tomorrow for the next set of polls from round 3!

Just Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteOutlander, Arrow, GoT and POI for me!
ReplyDeleteOUAT and GOT
ReplyDeleteJust OUAT's Sympathy for the De Vil for me today. Never watched The Mentalist and dropped all the other shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed but not surprised that Penny Dreadful didn't make it through to the next round. If OUAT makes it through I'll still have two of my nominated episodes left, The 100 being the other.
THE MENTALIST!!!
ReplyDeleteOutlander - The Wedding
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest - YHWH
Game of Thrones "Hardhome" and Outlander "To Ransom a Man's Soul" were two of the finest hours of television this season - for different reasons. Both of them were my nominations and I can't choose between.
Outlander
ReplyDeleteArrow
Abstained (that's probably the best battle between episodes)
POI
Person Of Interest's YHWH! Here's the gorgeous, heart-wrenching final scene: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V7QGoxDPfhg
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest!

POI and Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteThis is my toughest voting day. The only easy vote is poll #4. That being said, here are my votes:
ReplyDelete1. The Musketeers - The Accused (This is my most difficult vote of the competition. Sorry to Outlander) : (
2. Once Upon a Time - Sympathy for the De Vil (Sorry to Arrow)
3. Outlander - To Ransom a Man's Soul (This is my 2nd most difficult vote of the competition. Sorry to Game of Thrones) : (
4. Person of Interest - YHWH
I voted for Person of Interest YHWH.
ReplyDeleteAnd once again my vote goes to Game of Thrones and Person of Interest!
ReplyDeletealso OUaT!
I liked To Ransom a Man's Soul, but Hardhome was the best episode of GoT in a long time. The battle with the White Walkers was... wow.
ReplyDeleteArrow, Game of Thrones and Person of Interest for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, with all the hate for the episode, "My Name Is Oliver Queen" still has its fanbase since it actually a very amazing episode.
I thought it was beyond terrible but okay. Different opinions are important
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the 'but okay' part since you only just said what I said, lol.
ReplyDeleteLol that is true
ReplyDeleteOutlander,GoT & OUAT for me today.
ReplyDeleteWatch Outlander. It's a little slow but the acting & cinematography is exceptional.
ReplyDeleteI just wish OUAT would win. That episode does not deserve it from arrow IMO
ReplyDeleteAs much as i hate to say it,apart from Penny Dreadful's win over PLL,my predictions hasn't gone wrong till date.Arrow WILL win :(
ReplyDeleteI know arrow will win which is very sad because it is not even about the best episode anymore. It is about how many Fans the show has even if there are many many people who loved that arrow finale
ReplyDeleteAt the end,it doesn't matter if the episode was the best or not.It all comes down to dedicated fandom who can make sure they spread the word among them to get a win by hook or crook. As a result,Amazing episodes have gone out of the competition so early. It's really sad.
ReplyDeleteIt is very sad but that is how Internet competitions work. Nonetheless, I love this competition!!! I just wish some episodes were more recognized! For example Revenge, Plea which I thought was so much better than the series finale
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan of the entire season to be honest.
ReplyDeleteI liked some of the episodes-Sara,Canaries,Broken Arrow,The Return & Public Enemy.
ReplyDeleteMe as well. I hated season 3. I thought it was terrible and only had a few good episodes
ReplyDeleteVoted Once upon a Time, Sympathy for Deville outstanding episode in a close race, and the Mentalist also in a ruff one, that was it for me today
ReplyDeleteOutlander on the first by default
ReplyDeleteOUAT on the second. I love you Arrow but that was one of my favorite episodes ever from ouat and it wasnt one of my favorites of arrow although i didnt dislike it like others
The amazing amazing Hardhome on the third
Person of interest by default
My show is losing miserably this time. Pity. My vote went to the Musketeers. I got into Outlander first but it didn't grip my attention as the musketeers did. Though the scottish landscapes are sooo pretty to look at, the plot was incredibly slow.
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest - YHWH is brilliance personified.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones, which is going to lose sadly.
ReplyDeleteI used to be part of the OUAT fandom, and I know that it is enormous and dedicated (though there are rifts in the fandom). If people spread the word on Tumblr and IMDb, I'm sure it can win this round.
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers & POI..................................
ReplyDeleteI only vote when it's an Outlander episode. That's the only show I watch and the only show that had me getting cable again after 6 years of no TV. All aspects of Outlander are at the top of the game; costumes, writing, directing, cinematography, editing, casting, musical score and most notably acting from its main cast and the additional acting artist. It is simply in a class all by itself. This is also the best adaption of a book that I have ever seen. I hope to see Outlander take this competition.
ReplyDeleteIt's all subjective. Not everyone would agree about the "best" episodes.
ReplyDeleteMusketeers, Arrow and GoT for me today.
ReplyDeleteOutlander, of course. Both episodes. No contest. ♥
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers & Game of Thrones & Person of Interest
ReplyDeleteArrow. (Don't watch the other shows).
ReplyDeleteIndeed, I really enjoyed the finale too.
ReplyDeleteWow at all the votes!!
ReplyDeleteOutlander
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time
Game of Thrones
Arrow (!!)
ReplyDeleteThe Mentalist
Jess, The Musketeers Exec Producer has just tweeted her support, with a photo from the current filming of S3.

1 - Outlander
ReplyDelete2 & 3 - None - why are polls 2 & 3 both Arrow and OUAT, I suppose there is a mistake?
4 - Outlander.
VOTE ONCE!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame. Finale was horrible
ReplyDeleteOnly Poll 2 is Arrow v OUaT. Poll 3 is Outlander v GoT, and Poll 4 is PoI v The Mentalist :)
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers, Game of Thrones and Person of Interest., only PoI apparently will remain.
ReplyDeleteOutlander, Arrow, Game of Thrones, and Person of Interest for me.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones and POI today. Two absolutely stunning episodes.
ReplyDeleteJust OUAT
ReplyDeleteThat was absolutely one of my favorite episodes in the series
You guys, Tweet for OUAT! I already have! The more the better. It needs to win!
ReplyDeleteNow, it is...but when I voted in my computer polls 2 and 3 were both Arrow v OUAT, same episodes:)
ReplyDeleteJess playa for keeps and my heart.
ReplyDeleteArrow every time you choose for the show not the episode.........too bad the haters will give up!
ReplyDeleteScottish landscapes aren't quite as good as French landscapes, tbh.
ReplyDeleteIf by landscapes you mean hot dudes.
Indeed. A very troubled Athos...
ReplyDeleteI doubt it lol, I haven't touched a thing since the post went up. Must have been some temporary thing with Opinion Stage.
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers, Arrow, Game of Thrones and Person of Interest for me today!
ReplyDeleteArrow and The Mentalist
ReplyDeleteOn MAN, this poll gave me two hard decisions between Outlander/Musketeers and Outlander/Game of Thrones. Three shows I love very much...
ReplyDelete1. Outlander. As much as I love The Musketeers, I can't deny the quality difference so, for me, Outlander is superior.
2. Nothing. Don't watch either. Dropped OUaT so fast after it turned to shit least season, so definitely no vote from me.
3. Game of Thrones. Ugh this was tough; it it were any other episode in S5, Outlander would have won but Hardhome is one of the strongest episodes of the entire series, so it deserves its recognition.
4. Person of Interest. Still on S1, and bingewatching like mad. Amazing show.
Yes it will.
ReplyDeleteI never minded shows that were slow at first and need to build their world. Ideally, those end up being the best shows while I'm not fans of shows that come right out the gate with all cylinders and then burn slowly and end up fading away into abysmal television.
ReplyDeleteIt perfectly summed up the entire season in a nutshell, imo. Ollie decided to not be the Oliver Queen he's been trying to be for the first two seasons and as The Arrow he tarnished that identity because of the League of Assassins and now being something entirely new; a different Oliver Queen that will ultimately be Green Arrow as well(since, unlike Batman, he needs to be Oliver Queen first, GA later).
ReplyDeleteDo you have a favorite episode of POI so far?
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I still have 4 episodes to vote for. The Musketeers, Forever, The Flash, and Agent Carter. Today I obviously vote for The Musketeers. The rest is more of a vote against thing.
ReplyDeleteNot really yet! I'm on 1x11, so I'll let you know when I get to the season finale!
ReplyDeleteI liked The Calm, Corto Maltese, The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak, Draw Back Your Bow, The Brave and the Bold, The Climb, Canaries, Suicidal Tendencies, Public Enemy, Broken Arrow and The Fallen. All the other I was like "meh" and while I really enjoyed the finale (the conclusion of that horrible arc), I'm really glad that it's finally over. Let's see season 4.
ReplyDeleteOf course Outlander is winning is both the polls.Wouldn't it be fun it both the episodes of Outlander face each other in the finale?
ReplyDeleteIt would be funner if Person of Interest faced each other in the finale.
ReplyDeleteNeither of the Outlander episodes in the finale? Nah.
ReplyDeleteI predict a finale with both episodes of Person of Interest, considering they both have been the most voted episodes during previous rounds. Wouldn't that be awesome ? If it were to happen, I'd personaly choose "If Then Else", one of my favourite episodes of the past year.
ReplyDeleteThey can't meet in the final as they are in the same half of the draw. The best they can do is both meet in the semi-final
ReplyDeleteThey can meet in the final. YHWH is in the bottom left bracket; If-Then-Else is in the top right.
ReplyDeleteIf-Then-Else should be in here instead of YHWH for POI...it was the best episode of the season and quite possibly the best episode ever....It is by far one of my favorite hours of TV
ReplyDeleteNo sure I understand? It is in the competition.
ReplyDeleteAh oops. I thought we'd done it so that no 2 shows could meet in the final :)
ReplyDeleteNah, I tried it like that but it was way too much work and felt like I was rigging the draw. I'd be stunned if two from the same show ended up in the final with so many big fanbases still left.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like somrthing is wrong with the sheet...
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong that you are seeing?
ReplyDeleteWow you are quick. ^^ Yeah I should have explained. I can only see the left part of the competition, the scroll bar doesn't, well... scroll.
ReplyDeleteI ckeck the sheet of day 12 works but not this one.
Are using a computer or a mobile device?
ReplyDeleteOn a desktop there should be a scroll bar along the bottom of the spreadsheet
On a mobile device you should be able to drag the contents of the spreadsheet from right to left.
Desktop.
ReplyDeleteThere's two scroll bar on the left and one on the bottom. The one on the bottom doesn't scroll to round 3 and the right of the tournament.
Am I the only one with this problem ?
Strange, working fine for me. I can scroll to the far right and then back again to the left.
ReplyDeleteWhat browser are you using?
I found the 2nd scroll bar on the bottom and this one works just fine.
ReplyDeleteThere's four scroll bar. I couldn't see the little one the bottom because I didn't scroll the big one on the right to the bottom. Ahem...
Thank you and sorry for the bother. x)
Ha cool, no worries :) Glad it's working for you
ReplyDeleteI could see a POI episode against an Outlander episode in the final round. Not sure it's possible but if it is then I can see those two shows meeting in the last round.
ReplyDeleteYHWH is the perfect episode to put next If-Then-Else in this competition ( despite season 4 having many instant classics ( like prophets, cold war, control-alt-delete, asylum, search and destroy, m.i.a, terra incognitta ).
ReplyDeleteIt is. The POI episode would have to be If-Then-Else and then one of the two Outlander episodes.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be Outlander vs POI or POI vs POI.
ReplyDeleteBoth episodes can't make the Finale.
ReplyDeleteHaha well I'd be totally okay with that. But as much as I love the show, I am not one to underestimate my opponents ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it will be Outlander Vs.POI-It's pretty obvious from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI think Outlander vs POI has a great chance of happening as well. It should be one of the 2.
ReplyDeleteIf I've had the opportunity to vote (no internet during the weekend) it had been Outlander (both episodes) and Arrow. Glad they all made it.
ReplyDeleteWell in this case there is no contest. Unfortunately our landscapes aren't often in full bloom. Like the scottish ones are in every episode.
ReplyDeleteHaha, nice one sva!
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn´t doubt, I can read and watch, lol! And I checked 2 or 3 times before posting. But I have no doubt it was some temporary thing...
ReplyDeleteNope, it would be If-Then-Else and To Ransom a Man's Soul OR YHWH and The Wedding. The alternative episodes will meet in the quarter-finals (YHWH vs. To Ransom a Man's Soul) and the semi-finals (If-Then-Else vs. The Wedding)
ReplyDeleteLol my bad Dark - must've missed that when I posed this and have since seen that it did end up winning (but of course)...Big fan of yours btw - I've been subscribing to this outlet for all my TV scoop since I was a huge LOST fan and we gathered here on the internet to figure out wtf was going on back then on that island...Thanks for your good work - you guys (the whole team here at spoilertv) are my go to source for all happenings in the TV world
