  1. Look a little chesssy, don't see ir going for more than 1 season

  2. I still think this looks more cheesy and "thrown together" than I would have liked but I am still willing to give it a shot although I am not particularly excited with it right now

  3. Definitely not interested in it.

  4. I'm absolutely down for cheesy action fun, so count me in. Lord knows I've watched some truly horrendous things because they were written by or starred people I love, and from the promos, this doesn't look anywhere near that level of bad. Philip Winchester has the extensive stunt and military training from his time on Strike Back to make the action work, and he's got pretty good acting chops. (It's just a shame he won't have Sullivan Stapleton to riff off of, because you can't buy that kind of chemistry.) John Rogers showed his ability to balance drama and humour and tie all the loose ends together with his work on Leverage, so I wouldn't be surprised if the first season becomes more serialized leading up to the finale. I'm more worried about Wesley Snipes' reliability than the writing or production at this point.

  5. First NBC new drama gone for sure. This isn't gong to last. I can't believe Wesley Snipes or Phillip Winchester signed up for this. Such a waste.

And is it supposed to look like Las Vegas?

  6. Ironically enough.. a lot of NBC's stronger shows that are ongoing had horrible promos.

I can see why NBC placed The Player at the top and think that it'll attain a quick fan base and sustain it. Which is what NBC needs on Thursdays... something that is going to stick on Thursdays along with the Blacklist.

  7. It's definitely a goner.

  8. I agree, I still mourn that Season 5 of Strike Back is the last, so I take Philip Winchester anyway I can.

  9. I didn't like the Blacklist promo, and now it is one of my favorite shows. And this promo doesn't say a lot. As an action junky, I am looking forward to it ... Philip Winchester is worth watching, but the time slot is diffcult..

  10. Considering their other two new fall dramas are post voice launches, that really isn't saying much...

  11. Which is a shame. Thursdays at 10 PM is a tough draw against How To Get Away With Murder and football. NBC is likely looking at this timeslot as a sacrifice spot and hoping that Heroes: Reborn stabilizes The Blacklist. Once that happens, they will look at 10 PM. So while doing a two step process isn't the worst idea NBC had, I think that they would have been surprised had they tried another drama in this timeslot. Shades Of Blue was suggested elsewhere, but I really like that Wednesdays at 8 PM as it fits in with the other two Wednesday shows.

  12. I will give it a chance anyhow, because Philip Winchester IRL is one of the kindest and most enthusiastic actors I've ever met.

The show looks to me as mixture of the "Ocean ..." and "The Transporter" brand, which can even be good. The problem is that this genre requires a lot of adrenaline-pumping actions and stunts, which I doubt NBC would (could) bankroll through the length of a network season.

  13. I know it's coming off a bit cheesy, but I have a feeling it has the potential to resonate with people...

  14. I'm still in NBC. Bring it.

  15. I'm excited for this show and Blindspot. Would love to see Winchester and Stapleton from Strike Back have successful shows simultaneously. Only trouble is that both shows are on NBC and their live ratings are down. I think both shows are going to be heavily DVR'd.

  16. curious to see how Winchester from Strike Back will do as well as seeing if Wesley Snipes will bring his a game or just phone it in. I hope it's that former as the show looks like it could be fun
