The veteran actor, already cast as half of Firestorm in the Flash/Arrow spinoff Legends of the Tomorrow, on Thursday confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter his return to The Flash. He will be teamed with Robbie Amell, the DC Comics character Ronnie Raymond and the other half of Firestorm in the season two premiere.
"Robbie and I will be joined on the first episode of the (next) season of The Flash, and then we'll see what happens," Garber said. That leaves Amell not joining CW's Legends of Tomorrow universe as a series regular, though he's expected to make an appearance.
Fans have questioned how Amell would remain on The Flash while Garber would move to Legends of Tomorrow, given that their characters operate as a unit.
All will be explained by upcoming episodes of Arrow and The Flash, Garber assured, which set up the spin-off Legends of Tomorrow, with time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill, assembling a dysfunctional family of heroes and villains to battle the immortal villain Vandal Savage.
And if all goes to plan, look for the next chapter in CW's superhero universe to be an on-going series, with an initial 15 episodes of Legends of Tomorrow ordered and to debut as part of the network's 2016 mid-season lineup. "They (CW) aren't going to introduce a limited series. This isn't HBO. They want the Full Monty," Garber said.

hmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDelete!5 episodes-Perfect amount.I wonder whose slot it will take.
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand why is Robbie not joining LoT as a series regular. It doesn't make any sense to me.
we will find out in season 2 of the flash.
ReplyDeleteI would love if he takes the spot of Eddie as a series regular but isn't happening either.Confusing indeed.
ReplyDeleteMartin Stein and Ronnie Raymond will be 'separated' and one of them will join someone else ( or by themselves ) to become Firestorm ,,, due to the butterfly effects of the singularity opening.
ReplyDeleteWhat language did you write that last part.As a non-comic book fan of the show,it's seeming alien to me.Care to elaborate? Please.
ReplyDeleteSingularity is the word they used on the show to describe the doorway ( wormhole ) to other demission's/universes being opened in the finale.
ReplyDelete15 eps perfect!
ReplyDeleteArrow and The Flash to explain how the Team got together. Logical of course, the crossover event is there for that.
Oh.Got it.Another thing, does Caitlin become KIller Frost due to any particular reason in the comics?
ReplyDeleteWhich Slot ? No clue! I think Sundays would work fine LoL. But think SPN will get kicked Thursday or Friday.
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_Frost
ReplyDeleteTheCW doesn't have a saturday/sunday slot though and it'd be way too expensive for them to buy that airtime from all their affiliates
ReplyDeleteCW doesn't program on Sundays.
ReplyDeleteI was joking mac. I didn't artive yesterday. ^_^
ReplyDeleteOh honestly didn't see it was you, just saw the avatar and thought it was a newbie.
ReplyDeleteAnd I now know the meaning of your name.
Ohhh hehe!
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm a Pokemon fan, grew up with the anime. And used the it as a password ages ago and with time it got an upgrade to my nick. ^_^.
not much of a comic book person really either so I assumed it be the particle accelorator as well, after all Cisco has been a slow burn on that reveal. But I suppose they could still use her comic book origon.
ReplyDeleteYou could call me a pokemon fan 2. Watch the first 4 series and most of the 4th, but dropped it after that.
ReplyDeleteI predict a Feb-March 3-way crossover.
ReplyDeleteNot sure on them using both the Arrow and the Flash to explain everything. Only as crossovers really are not their best work. or just explain Sarah's part on the Arrow and leave the rest to the Flash.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. That was pretty helpful :)
ReplyDeleteI stopped being addicted a while ago as well. I follow what happens and watch the gyms and big battles like the league.
ReplyDeleteI just like Spinda cause he is a teddy and totally confused aka he is me. ^_^
That will happen for sure. 3 night/hour event.
ReplyDeleteBut I assume Rip will drop in around 2x07 or 08 of The Flash and ask Barry for help to assemble a team. And with that everything will start. Can't wait to see how they'll explain Sara's comeback.
Np. It will likely end up different on The Flash though I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI love their crossover episodes.Last one was fantastic IMO.
ReplyDeleteyou mean the arrow firestorm episode? im talking about to Ray episode. Everything else is cameos to me.
ReplyDeleteRobbie is clearly staying on the Flash. I wanted to see him on LoT but the Killer Frost and Firestorm dynamic and with Eddie dead, perfect room for the hottest Amell to be on The Flash!
ReplyDeleteGlad they'll explain it on The Flash. I would've hated if they explained it on LOT. And I love Victor so much. Him and Robbie together are awesome, i'mI'm so mad he's leaving. I don't want them separated!! I hate that. But at lease Ronnie is staying, that means Stein will return.
ReplyDeleteVictor Garber is awesome and I seriously can't control myself for this show. And yay 15 episodes!
ReplyDeleteI still think it is because they will want him around in The Flash as a regular for Caitlin related reasons.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteYay for 15 episodes, two more than I thought this season would have.
ReplyDeleteUmm, Eddie died, and Snowstorm got married. The show "needed a replacement" and Caitlin and Ronnie are now husband and wife. Ergo...Ronnie stays in Central City. Makes a lot of sense.
ReplyDeleteRobbie Amell will probably be a regular on The Flash (now that Eddie and Wells are dead) and will also have a small recurring role on Legends of Tomorrow when they need Firestorm. (They already did alot of mini-crossovers this past year as prep.) Mid-season, I think LoT and Containment will take over on Thursdays, kicking Vampire Diaries and The Originals to Fridays. A big reason to have LoT and Containment start mid-season is because partner-CBS is airing NFL Football on Thursdays in the fall.
ReplyDeleteAs long he stays alive,i'm good.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Firestorm is such a good character and I hope he suits up with The Flash. Wondering how many times Robbie is gonna appear on the Legends of Tomorrow show. He must've been on the pilot considering we saw Firestorm flying around. Unless they figured out a way to separate and still use their powers
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Legends of Tomorrow is getting 15 episode order!
ReplyDeleteYeah that would be nice
ReplyDeleteI wish they wee both members of Rip's team, but alas.
ReplyDeleteCool. Looking forward to seeing how this will affect Flash and Arrow and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteWonder if it'll tie in to the annual yearly big show crossover.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha I hear ya. I think he'll be around for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to his SL with Killer Frost, so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteHe is crucial to Killer Frost, what with being the cure and all, but him, Stein and the rest of the Legends fighting Savage throughout time would have been so damn awesome.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Victor Garber and Robbie has such great chemistry and banter, they both worked together in a movie before.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBhWu8lGhkU
But the bromance Shannon, the bromance. As long as he guests and they explore transmutation and his intangibility and other powers I'm okay with this.
ReplyDeleteHaha what? Just b/c two actors do previous work together doesn't mean that's their reason for having "great chemistry" in their current projects. Lol
ReplyDeleteIf anyone it would be Jason.
ReplyDeleteAlso this is awesome. The universe now not only has a hero team, but a motley crew.
ReplyDeleteOff Topic: Anyone know when we will be getting the premiere dates for Jane the Virgin/Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Flash/iZombie, Arrow/Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries/The Originals, and Reign as well as Legends of Tomorrow, Containment, The 100, and Beauty and the Beast ?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for June 25th like last year.
huh ? Jason who ?
ReplyDeleteEh, I guess so. But it'd still be better if he were just THERE 24/7.
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome.....if it were on The Flash.
ReplyDeleteNo. But I believe Arrow will premiere Oct 7th.
ReplyDeleteUgh I'm so tired of them using Arrow to promote that spin off.
ReplyDeleteSilver lining? Ronnie is staying on The Flash. YAAAY
I agree.
ReplyDeleteI think The Vampire Diaries/The Originals will premiere on Oct 1st, Jane the Virgin/Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Oct 5th, The Flash/iZombie on Oct 6th, Arrow/Supernatural on Oct 7th, and Reign on Oct 9th.
It's all about establishing a professional relationship with a co-star when doing a project for the first time together. It may not seem much like actually sharing scenes together, but that relationship can grow into something more of a partnership that allows both actors to be familiar with each other, skipping all that awkwardness you may have had with the other the first time.
ReplyDeleteImagine this being similar with choreography.
Jason Rusch.
ReplyDeleteThat would overshadow Barry and his heroics so no. And if not diminish the time and ability to explore the Legends and their fight.
ReplyDeleteArrow is needed. The whole Lazarus Sara just requires Malcolm and Arrow characters to have full effect. Just as the Flash is needed as well to do so.
ReplyDeleteor it could be Mikhail Arkadin.
ReplyDelete( Firestorm was composed of Ronnie Raymond and the Russian Mikhail Arkadin but controlled by the disembodied amnesiac mind of Martin Stein )
Probably Jason if anyone. He is confirmed to exist in this verse and know's Stein and the project.
ReplyDeleteHis acting is terrible, also maybe he got a job because of his cousin.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Kay Panabaker ( Danielle's sister ) appear on "Legends of Tomorrow" as Ronnie & Caitlin's great great granddaughter from the future ... or ... on "The Flash" as Caitlin's sister.
ReplyDeleteIf so Ronnie and 'Jason' will become Firestorm on "The Flash" well Martin will simply become the 'nutty' professor on "Legends of Tomorrow".
ReplyDeleteWHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a FULL series, that's what i'm talking about!!!!!!! 15? huh that'as better than 13, i mean i would love a full 23 but still better than 13, now RENEW it CW LOL
ReplyDeleteNo i don't want Rusch!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree
ReplyDeleteKay actually stopped acting
ReplyDeleteOkay that doesn't change a potential candidate.
ReplyDeleteThat will be in season two after Crazy Ex-Girlfriend moves to summer or is cancelled.
ReplyDeleteYeah i guess, do YOU like him? I don't on the TV Universe but from the comics, did you like his temporary run as Firestorm?
ReplyDeleteBecause Robbie Amell deserves a permanent run as a superhero after years of him wanting to be one.
ReplyDeleteLegend of The Seeker had one
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if Savage will a SERIES-long Big Bad or just a season-long Big Bad.
ReplyDeleteThey actually showed his transmutation ability on The Flash season finale but had to cut for time.
ReplyDeletethat was an ABC show though
ReplyDeleteOh i thought it was a WB production because it aired on The CW
ReplyDeleteit didn't, Legend of the Seeker aired on ABC. Not sure when you caught it on theCW but LoS is syndicated on pretty much every network these days
ReplyDeleteI honestly hope so but doubt it
ReplyDeleteOkay no it DEFINITELY aired in The Cw
ReplyDeleteOh so you think it will air alongside his parents?
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend_of_the_Seeker
ReplyDeletecheck it for yourself, never aired on theCW
They wouldn't need to "explore" anything. All the characters are already on Flash. So if they did it right, It wouldn't overshadow Barry in any way. Just like the characters being there hasn't overshadowed him now. (As far as Sara is concerned she could go right back on Arrow) so again..it would be awesome IF it were on Flash. I still see no need for this LOT, (other than Sara's resurrection) but w/e. That'll be yours to enjoy, not mine.
ReplyDeleteI agree with TVD/TO, those were the dates i had for them as well. I definitely don't care about JTV, CEG, Reign, or iZombie, so that's all you. lol
ReplyDelete15 sounds like a great number. I just hope they don't feel the need to bring The Flash down with mutliple episodes tied to it the way they do with Arrow.
ReplyDeleteBut that's not what you said. You said Victor/Robbie had great chemistry on screen b/c they've worked together before. And i said/am saying their professional/personal relationship has nothing to do with "great chemistry" to pull off scenes though. Two actors/actresses can absolutely hate each other and still pull off "magic" on screen. If they get along, great, they work better that way, but just b/c they've worked together before doesn't mean the "greatness" of their personal relationship brings chemistry on screen with w/e project they're doing. You see it all the time. Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson, Keanu Reeves/Charlize Theron, Keanu Reeves/Sandra Bullock. Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman. Just a few examples. They've all worked together on one project and came out fine, they do another project, and it sucks, and not even their "personal relationship" would save them from the fizzle they have on screen for said project.
ReplyDeleteYes yes it would. If you explored this on either Arrow or the Flash using these characters it would negate the Flash cast, the upcoming killer frost and vibe arcs, the multiverse and the exploration of Iris' mom and the new rogues and introduction of more flash family members. That's different that is for an episode and that's only one of them, introducing that team on the Flash only would limit the ability to explore it (like with the league or JSA on Smallville) these characters nor do the Flash's deserve or need that and it would clutter everything. By that logic the Flash should never have been developed but it was. For the same reason as LoT, to make money, and better tell a story. Many people want to see this, and the writers want to tell it. And too do that they need to devote more time to it than just a few episodes of guest starring. So yes it needs to exist.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't say the channel, but all i know is that i saw it on The CW/WB and it was always new. Could you imagine if it was still airing now, would Richard and Kahlan be married right now?
ReplyDeleteYou mean BARRY and Caitlin's great-great-grand-daughter LOL
ReplyDeleteConsidering they'll be a time-traveling team there probably won't be as much crossovers unfortunately, in the first season anyway.
ReplyDeleteBtw Jason Rusch character has already showed up on the Flash show.
ReplyDeleteYeah barely
ReplyDeleteThey know what to expect from each other when they share scenes together. Having worked before gives them an advantage of familiarity.
ReplyDeleteHaving worked together before gives them familiarity between each other sure, but doesn't effect their on screen chemistry. (As you had put it) That's two different things. That's my point.
ReplyDeleteIMO he has improved a lot from his mediocre acting in TTP.
ReplyDeleteKind of a dick thing to say. I doubt nepotism played a role.
ReplyDeleteWell probably season. But he is immortal so he could also be recurring.
ReplyDeleteLol sure Ivan why not.
ReplyDeleteDude Kay's a zoologist according to her sister's AMA. She's pretty much never returning.
ReplyDelete15 is good. Allows more serialization and secures actors contracts, so we don't have a Ted Grant type situation.
ReplyDeleteThey're tying it to the Flash and they should this is a shared universe the possibilities should be explored. Plus Barry will at some point fight with them (hope Oliver as Green Arrow does as well- considering he started the hero business). And they've said the characters will crossover.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. A lot. They've already introduced the characters, we already know the basics of their backgrounds, they could've expanded from there. On both shows. LOT, otoh... Show's not needed. At all. Just for money purposes and their fat heads.
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm. That works too.
ReplyDeleteI like 15 episodes too, great number not too many or too few.
ReplyDeleteThat means we will be getting 15 straight weeks of LOT episodes in a row between January and May. Wow.
I lovedddd him in The Duff. That movie was hilarious. (And he looked so good on the big screen, i was so proud of him) Can't wait to buy it on dvd soon.
ReplyDeleteYou missed the part where Robbie and Jason become Firestorm and stay on The Flash and Martin is just the brainy leader with no powers on Legends of Tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNot if they cut his head off, Cold could his freeze his head and then smash it to pieces.
ReplyDeleteIs that possible?
ReplyDeleteThanks LOL
ReplyDeleteInteresting
ReplyDeleteHuh, i guess but it just seems like a massive show that it should have a full season.
ReplyDeleteYou're fueling the flame, let me get the hose. Brb.
ReplyDeleteNo get a flamethrower LOL
ReplyDeleteGREEN Arrow huh? You think?
ReplyDeleteyeah, no.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHad you ever seen Robbie Amell in a comedy before?
ReplyDeleteThe same can be said about the Flash Shannon. That's just insulting those involved (and frankly ignoring that those same arguments can be made for Flash ) and ignorant of the fans who want the show. You disagree fine, but you can't undermine it's existence with those arguments unless you acknowledge that they apply to the Flash for insistence and that technically it's not needed (though I'm not arguing it's necessity since no show needs to exist, I'm arguing why it should). . They could have done the same with Barry, but no instead they introduced him to spin-off him off just like they planned with these characters (well besides Sara) and expanded the universe. Did they need to no, was it a good idea, yes. How do I know this I gave it a chance and watched it, which you're not even considering. But that didn't make it a pure crash grab just because they did it. And you're just writing it off because it doesn't interest you. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. I dislike Reign, and countless shows but making the argument that hey because they're made to generate money therefore robs any level of creativity or interest by anyone else and therefore not needed or shouldn't exist is ridiculous (the same can be said about literally every show or comic book adaptation). That argument doesn't prove anything beyond that you dislike the show. Not that it is unnecessary, or a pure crash grab or anything. Which is fine if you acknowledge that, but you're just spitting on the show and the developers and asserting it as true. And that's not fair to the writers, producers, actors or fans who want to see it. To them it should exist. Does it need to no, but nothing does. So please just stop. You don't want to watch this show or give it the time of day fine great no skin off my back but this is gratuitous.
ReplyDeleteWell the newspaper, the fact that his entire arc has been working towards him being that, and the fact that he can no longer be the Arrow nor does he want to be. Yeah I think so.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, so 3 years in the making and he's finally becoming the Green Arrow
ReplyDeleteIt is in the comics / Anything is possible when writers are involved. And It makes sense since the singularity will allow for subtle changes to the universe ( Nora being alive, Henry no longer in prison but living with Nora, Sara being the White Canary, Ronnie and Jason being Firestorm, and Martin just being a professor ) since Eddie killed himself so Eobard would not exist
ReplyDeleteIt's quite rare for a lot of actors in the US it seems that they don't always end up on the same project they were both casted for so when they do, it's like a family reunion of sorts as they are all in similar grounds except that now, they know what to do when working with each other.
ReplyDeleteI assume it will be related to that crossover event.
ReplyDeleteActually it's not. Not much anymore, not like it used to be. Actually it's rare for actors to have on going chemistry with each other when it's a different project. Only works in some cases.
ReplyDeleteand you're asking b/c?
ReplyDeleteJoe Manganiello or Jason Momoa
ReplyDeleteVery !! Then again .... It would be the perfect show to give their summer show 'program for next summer some real legs to stand on as it would be must see TV.
ReplyDeleteInteresting choices, Craig Parker for me
ReplyDeleteJust curious, i didn't think anyone knew him as a comedic actor.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they make it a full 23 episodes season? I mean I know it's a midseason show but they can held off the remaining episodes for the Fall of next year.
ReplyDeleteHuh, doesn't seem as much fun as with Stein though.
ReplyDeleteJust for fun if "The Flash" ends up having Barry Allen interact with other versions of this hero due to the wormhole opening the door to other dimensions/universes who would you like to see playing Jay Garrick, Wally West, and Bart Allen next season ?
ReplyDelete( also - Jesse Chambers, John Fox, Sela Allen, Blaine Allen, Jace Allen,Kryiad, and Bizarro Flash )
Me:
Jay Garrick: Mark Valley, Tahmoh Penikett, or David Anders.
Wally West: Matt Barr, Chris Wood, Jason Dohring, or Michael Trevino
Bart Allen: Sterling Beaumon, Dylan Minnette, or Robbie Kay
( 1 - Barry, Wally, & Jay, 2 - Jay, 3 - Barry & Wally, 4 - Bart, 5 - Wally, 6 - Jay, 7 - Bart )
I think it would be even better.
ReplyDeleteTwo fit and athletic young guys who could do any stunt that comes to mind. Victor Garber even said in this interview ( hint hint ) "He is old and won't be wearing a cape".
Hmm.
ReplyDelete15 Episodes is good. Legends of Tomorrow already sounds better than the Flash ever did....
ReplyDeleteAll i know is that i want ROBBIE to be the main Driver of Firestorm and no one else.
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly ( 99.9% ) sure that is how it will all go 'down'.
ReplyDeleteFor Garrick: DEFINITELY Mark Valley, for Wally: Chris Wood, for Bart: Robbie Kay
ReplyDeleteWhy 'down'? 99.9% that Robbie will be the Driver?
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteYes Robbie would be the driving force was my point.
ReplyDeleteSadly the last two likely won't happen as Chris Wood is on "Containment" and Robbie Kay is on "Heroes Reborn".
ReplyDeleteOh ok yeah Robbie Amell is Firestorm
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think? good or bad?
ReplyDeleteTrue but Valley oh i NEED him on one of these shows SO BAD!!! LOL and he's played a DC superhero already: Christopher Chance.
ReplyDeleteLoved Human Target.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't work for me. Cool if it does for you.
ReplyDeleteAgain i disagree. I'm going to keep disagreeing. There's frankly nothing you could say on this matter, that would make me agree. To say it could've been that way with the Flash. That's a definite, wrong. The Flash is one spin off. Lots of shows produce one Spin off. That's not a big deal. To produce two (when one isn't even done yet) is too much. I've said this over and over.; The "fans" are split. Idk how many times i have to explain this to you, not everyone is on board with this spin off, and also feel it's not needed. Hell i didn't think The Originals was needed, I thought it was just ridiculous to make a series starring Klaus (especially when i wanted him dead) sometimes i still feel that way. But it was ONE spin off and it ended up working. You don't see TPTB trying to milk TVD universe for all it's worth, like the Arrow writers (rolls eyes). Their heads are too big. And it grew ten sizes when they started with Flash. I stand by what i said, we could have a two week discussion about this, and my words would never change (which is why i'm giving you short answers and not long paragraphs, though i could), you may not like it, fine, but you yourself aren't acknowledging the fact that what they're doing is excessive. Or how damaging it could be to both shows. You're just wearing your love goggles. So you don't see it. You're in the " The more the merrier" bubble. While i'm in the "less is more." bubble. Shrugs.
ReplyDeleteYeah it was a great show
ReplyDeleteWally West shouldn't be Caucasian in this verse. Paul James would be my pick.
ReplyDeleteI think Flash could premiere a week before Arrow, to fix the singularity and than pick up a couple of months later in ep 2. followed by the Arrow premier.
ReplyDeleteI assume they will announce Robbie as a regular at the Comic Con and maybe announce which other speedster they will introduce this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about him being a regular, but we'll see. It's definitely a possibility. I'd enjoy that.
ReplyDeleteIt'll most likely be Jay and Wally. I'm pretty certain.
Acting is an art. Once people who worked before ends up working together again in another project, the relationship they have as co-stars allows them to create magic with their scenes. And it always shows.
ReplyDeleteFor this season I think he will be, don't know how much he'll stay but think he'll get that status, but who knows. I really enjoyed Robbie in this role. The only reason I would except for him to not do this season is him getting cast in the Power Rangers movie. I have this vision of him being the red ranger. ^^
ReplyDeleteI assume Wally is a pretty sure thing, would love for him to appear without his powers and contribute a bit to Iris story. She could benefit from it.
Jay is also a good guess especially after that Easter egg in the finale.
" The relationship they have as co-stars allows them to create magic with their scenes. And it always shows." No it doesn't. You're totally missing my point. Or maybe you just don't agree with it. But what goes on "Behind the scenes" does not reflect how "great" chemistry will be on the scene. At the end of the day it's about what they can bring to the screen, individually, as actors, and put it together and maybe a good script. Whether it's a good relationship or a bad one, doesn't matter. At the end of the day, the actors have a job to do, and they're going to do their job. I would love for you watch the movies with the actors i gave as examples. You'd definitely see the difference.
ReplyDeleteWe're all going around in circles over this argument. I've said my piece, you've said yours. Let's end this with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8ShMRhXYeM
ReplyDelete:D
First you still have nothing beyond your own bias and are disregarding that this is still incredibly similar to the Flash's situation and you cannot say it shouldn't happen. Split?Look around reddit, youtube m SpoilerTV, AV club, and dozens of other sites most want to see this. Second, what crap? All you are is saying their greedy without backing anything up and trying to milk it. They're creating a spin-off and, not just half-harazardly churning out a show. These guys as shown in interviews clearly are passionate about their work and DC. Second, many of these characters are beloved just like Barry (Captain Cold, Stein, Sara- who is beloved throughout the fandom) so again not really a counter point given the hype and clear audience for this. It could, but it could very well not. I'm the one wearing goggles? Shannon you're shitting on a show purely because you hate several characters (that I can get in terms of desire to watch as if you don't like Palmer and a bunch of others it would be hard to be excited about but that doesn't mean it's condemnable) and view it as unnecessary and utterly refuse to give it a shot, I may be a fanboy and pumped (through you're just as much of one in every other scenario and in regards to the Flash) but I'm not blind I'm merely hopeful based on the track record, and the fact that I see the clear love these guys and Geoff Johns have for DC. You write it off purely because of Palmer a few others and the fact that it's a spin-off. And for the last time your argument assumes the worst of the show purely because it's a second spin-off that's incredibly unfounded and literally has no basis beyond your own bias and attributing stigma and poorer quality. And TVD might actually since Plec could see them running for a long time and doesn't see an end in sight anytime soon (and why on Earth would you compare those two they're nothing alike). It's excessive because you think it is, that's not a fact. Nor is my opinion, but writing off a show because of some made up notion that two spin-offs of a hero show within a certain amount of time is driven by greed and is stupid or wrong or excessive is purely your belief, and has no actual proven basis in fact evidence wise in this case. You're also ignoring other factors like the writers probably wanting to do a superhero team up show (just look at Guggenheim he's giddy in the promo video for LoT over the show- these guys aren't just in it for the money- the CW and WB yeah but that's their job) Look you don't like it fine, but don't shit on the show off because it's a spin off just because of some preconceived view you've reached and attacking the creators (the CW is one thing), watch the show then shit on it. Applying biases and judgement before giving something a chance quite honestly disgusts me (granted I'm guilty of it like everyone else is at times, but it's still a bad thing to do). Or hey just be a this show looks like it's going to suck because of so and so characters, but hating the show purely because because it's a second spin-off and perceived arrogance on the creators' part has nothing to do with the show itself. If you think it looks bad based on the promos fine but don't let it be because it's a second spin-off and being supposed symbol of greed.
ReplyDeleteThere's a *spoiler* I think I read on Variety which explains Robbie's absence in LoT
ReplyDeleteI agree. He was adorable & sexy. The former word i never thought i would use to describe him, ever.
ReplyDeleteI hope he doesn't die any time soon.I like him in The Flash.
ReplyDeleteYeah when i saw her on the promo i freaked out!

ReplyDelete"Every now and then people surprise you."
ReplyDeleteHehehe.
ReplyDeleteAs the world turns. :)

ReplyDeleteYour rant is long. I couldn't get throught it. It's very late, i'm very tired, and not in the mood for this. I'll get back to you later.
Ftr, Alexa and Robbie didn't have chemistry on TTP either. lol
ReplyDeleteThey won't need to with The Flash airing on Tuesdays and Arrow on Wednesday. They can just start fresh and by the end of 2x01 time jump a few days ahead of 4x01 ... and ... BAM things will be squared up once more.
ReplyDeleteWas so sad when they cancelled it ... but ... it was their own fault for bringing in Ilsa Pucci and Ames ( she wasn't as bad but still ) the chameleon thief.
ReplyDeleteWell let's hope it gets good ratings. It won't pull Nikita numbers. Thank God. If it goes with a lighter tone it might get Flash like ratings but Arrow level ratings is also good. Just keep in mind, these are not A lister characters. The good thing is it might get viewers from both shows but depending on which tone they go for, it might turn off the other viewers away.
ReplyDeleteYeah there is no need, but I've got a feeling they will start this season with their breakout hit.
ReplyDeleteVery true indeed!
ReplyDeleteI like them together, no matter how crazy-explosive things has gotten in the end.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah i was about to as who's Ames LOL, true that
ReplyDelete15 episodes does sound like a nice round number for a midseason show with a close-ended arc that has off the bat potential...
ReplyDeleteIt's not an anthology though, it's a FULL series with the same characters and ongoing storylines.
ReplyDeleteYes, but if I'm not mistaken, they did mention the first season is pretty much a close-ended overarching serialized show.
ReplyDeleteThe way they were selling it seemed kinda like an Agent Carter type deal, where there is room to grow and continue but initself it's planned as an offshoot standalone thing.
They were boring and there really was no chemistry between them. In fact, i felt she got worse as a character when they got together. Her death was the best thing that happened to her character, and she STILL didn't pull off what she was supposed to do. smh
ReplyDeleteAww i was hoping you'd get the reference but this is okay too. lol
ReplyDeleteIf not a full then probably half, laid out of course. Power Rangers?? We're trying to better his career not worsen it. lol No no. And you should see him in The Duff.
ReplyDeleteI pretty certain Jay and Wally will both be appearing. Jay i feel will appear in the first ten, Wally will probably around 15-18, and if i'm lucky, the speedster I WANT to see will show between 20-22. Which i'm cool with just as long as they show him before the season ends. = D
We'll have to wait and see, I'm hoping for full season.
ReplyDeletePower Rangers will help his career, how couldn't it? JK, I really hope it will be quality movies and not CGI filled messes but who knows with all these delays.
What is The Duff? Show or movie?
Doubt they will blow out all their VIP Speedsters so early in development, they need a couple of those for upcoming seasons. Who is the speedster U WANT to see? Who has that honor to be Ur favorite? ;-)
I missed it completely. What is it you meant to say?
ReplyDeleteHahaha no i meant to say that. But it was a quote. (Hence the quotations) A quote said from Buffy specifically. It just felt like the right thing to say and it just happened to be true. lol
ReplyDeleteThe only Power Rangers that was ever good was Our generation, after that it sucked. They should just leave it alone. But of course they won't. smh The Duff is a movie. Robbie's film debut actually. And it was awesome. Did pretty well at the Box office, it'll be out on Dvd next week. Can't wait to buy it.
ReplyDeleteBarry is and always has been my favorite out of the four. Bart is next and who i want to see.
I do like a good long rant.
ReplyDeleteI wonder i didn't get it coz i still haven't watched Buffy.
ReplyDeleteThey won't let it go, so I hope the story is done well enough.
ReplyDeleteWill check the movie out for sure.
Looking forward to see how they will construct the 2nd season and who the big bad for next year will be.
Well, to be honest, i prefer him on The Flash, because of Caitlin/Killer Frost. So, Their relationship ios great, so i'm glad he is staying on The Flash, and plus, LoT has a lot of people already.
ReplyDeleteI think he improved a lot since TTP. It's goot to remember that SA was also very bad on the beggining of Arrow, but he just got better and better :)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually good with limiting crossovers. I felt the crossovers near the end of The Flash took away from that show instead of enhanced it. The Flash is doing fabulous so I don't want it hampered down by trying to prop up 2 shows.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the best ideas The CW has had and they've been making some great ones since Pedowitz took over.
ReplyDeleteLong sigh. YOU'RE the one i'm waiting for!!! I knew i was waiting for someone else besides Graydon, which btw, he has already started. (I think he's in the middle of season 2 heading into 3) And you're waiting for what?
ReplyDeleteWhy is everyone concerned with the "Big Bad"?? what is that? Why can't you guys just enjoy the show and wait for the "big bad". I swear this is Whedon's fault. lol
ReplyDeleteI have no time.I watch too many shows.30-35 currently.Maybe a year later.
ReplyDeletePeople are really thinking it's Grodd
ReplyDeleteHA! nice
ReplyDeleteWell i would hope not and it's a FULL show, with CONTINUING storylines, sure have a new Big Bad every season but the characters storylines continue.
ReplyDeleteI'm okay with not knowing, but would certailny prefer to know.
ReplyDeleteThat is not a Flash thing for me I feel this about all my shows. I want to know as much as possible ASAP. ^_^
