ComicBook.com has seen the Patty Spivot audition videos and their description is as follows:
I came across some more auditions, but this time they're for The Flash. They reveal that DC Comics' Patty Spivot will be joining the show.
In the auditions, we learn that Patty is going to become Detective Joe West's (Jesse L. Martin) new partner in season 2. You know, because his old partner Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) sacrificed his life to prevent Reverse-Flash/Eobard Thawne from existing.
In the first video, Patty shares a scene with West, telling him that she can be trusted even though she is still getting used to the meta-humans. In the second clip, Patty gushes to Barry about the detail in his forensic reports.

Scene 2 mentions the characters name is 'John'. So this character must the same as previously mentioned by TVLine.

Yay for Patty! I like her, she and Barry had a great dinamic in the comics! Way better than with Iris! Actually they are a couple!
