  1. Pretty Little Liars is gonna win everything it's in. As usual now.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Looks like The 100, Bob Morley & Eliza Taylor will be the only ones getting my vote so far.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hell yeah to all The 100 nominations. So glad they all made it in, and here's hoping they made a few more categories too. Also glad for EBR, the JtV acting nominations (Jaime Camill needs to win something, damn it), and that The Flash and AoS made the list. Other than that, I'm mostly too aged out of these awards to care much. I just like these for the exposure they give some of my shows. And if The 100 wins any of these, I will love it this year.

Also, if TVD, TO and Supernatural all end in the next year or two, the SF/F categories are going to get a little interesting.

  4. Bob Morley & Eliza Taylor for the win :) I hope they win!! I'm really happy the show / actors got nominated, its hopefully going to help open the show up to new people :)

Read some of the cast / creator reactions, its awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Congratz to the nominees. Now its up to the producers to decide who will win.

    ReplyDelete
  7. LOL, yep but according to the Teen Choice website its 'Jupiter Rising'.

  9. The only awards outside of the Golden Raspberry awards where Paul Blart can get nominations.

  12. Jared is on the list but Jensen is missing? Same case with Jennifer.Where's Lana?Where's Troian? Not fair teens!
So happy for Candice Accola,Paul Wesley,Bob Morley,Eliza Taylor,Nina.I hope Nina wins for the last time as Elena.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Doesnt Fox/TeenChoice has the last word who gets nominated?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I know the producers choose the winners from the top 4 vote getters. I am expecting lots of Glee nominations because its their last year.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hoping for them to win in a couple of categories ^^

    ReplyDelete
  16. i dont even watch it lol. But was surprised that Sasha won the Breakthrough award last year. PLL gets nominated i know they will win.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Are they nominated for their looks, or their talent...

    ReplyDelete
  18. yay for The 100&Castle :D

also happy for Maggie Grace&Michelle Rodrigues

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is so obvious that These nominations are not Picked by teens

    ReplyDelete
  20. Danielle Panabaker?? Candice Patton is a thousand times better than her on The Flash lol. This is absurd. And Caitlin is the only character on The Flash that's just there, I don't love her or hate her, she does nothing to me. She's hardly anything to rave about, let alone nominate Danielle's performance. But it's the TCAs, so...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow, do the people who pick these watch the same five shows? And yeah, these are not picked by teens.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Congratulations fpr the nominees.

Side note: It's funny, although not surprising, that all the nominees for Choice TV Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy are from CW shows.

    ReplyDelete
  23. After reading several comments I realized I'm not the only one thinking "why" and who picks the shows and actors. Just terrible choices. And why Hayden Panettiere - Nashville and not Jonathan Jackson who's acting was far superior this season, I don't get it. Are we watching the same shows.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yay for Jared! I might actually have to vote for this thing because I won't have to choose between Jared and Jensen. :)

Weird that Supernatural isn't nominated in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category...

    ReplyDelete
  25. yeah they should have chose lana but Jenn is their tent pole actress i mean she the face of once im surprised they didnt nominate Colin. I realy hope once gets some love this year and its not just another vamp diares award show cuz all the teeny boppers love ian somerhalder and paul wesly people always vote for the show with the hottest guy not the show with the best acting out of the nominated people lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. lol he was in the movie for like a total of five minutes i cant believe hes basically being nominated for a cameo appearance

    ReplyDelete
  27. This nomination list is just sad. Good thing teenagers will likely grow up and realize that most of these "choice" shows/movies are guilty pleasures at best.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I noticed that the last few years, FOX shows and movies have increasingly become more represented. Since it's broadcasted on FOX, it's more than a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i don't like the nomination of George Clooney ! there's better then he, on last year !

    ReplyDelete
  30. this nominations are so lame, Arrow was awful this season, The Flash and Daredevil should be in that place, at least Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D got some recognition for this awesome season.
p.s: every time i read/heard the name Bob Morley i just start laughing, i guess his parents were really into reggae

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dang it! I was hoping at least Toby Regbo be nominated!

    ReplyDelete
  32. What happen Stana Katic didn't get nominated as best actress for Castle?

    ReplyDelete
  33. they dont need to be picked by teens. Anybody who know how to tweet can tweet their nomination. How are gonna check who is a teen behind a laptop?
Tho Fox get to choose but from the numbers i seen the biggest WTF is the fact that Grant Gustin and Candice Patton are missing from the list.

    ReplyDelete
  34. God, how I am supposed to vote for Choice TV Drama Actor and Actress? I want all of them to win

    ReplyDelete
  35. Happy to see Castle first choice TV Drama it`s going to silence those who say that it`s boring and request that the program ends.

    ReplyDelete
  36. In related news, is anyone baffled by the fact that millions upon millions of people watch the Emmys, where all the nominees struggle to get 0.5s?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Fantastic to see Jared nominated but its likely that the anti Jared fans of Jensen and Misha will just vote against him to make sure he doesnt win.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I hope The 100 wins this year.

    ReplyDelete
  39. There definitely seems to be complaints that Jensen was snubbed and I'm sure it's the same in Misha-fans' camp since many of them claim that Misha is even more popular than Jensen and/or Jared.

I wonder if something like that happened in Zap2it Social Media Showdown poll? :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. Glad I was not the only one thinking it....
    Yikes!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Because surprisingly enough the MTV movie awards has standards. However, I think the Nickelodeon's kids choices possible.
That said, I'm still celebrating AOS's nomination.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Considering the first round the nomination was done by twitter where nobody can tell your age, unless you want them to know what it is, it's a free-for-all. I will admit that even as a 30 something I may have voted several times during kids choice awards for my favorite shows. I may do the same thing for this.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Because good and popular are two separate things and celebrity voyeurism is always a ratings grabber.

    ReplyDelete
  44. well too bad so sad for Jensen whatever! who cares right!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Any award show that has Keeping Up With The Kardashians on it is a waste of time.

    ReplyDelete
  46. its like who care's anyway they all will not win anyway all 3 of them.

    ReplyDelete
  47. There's no question in my mind that exactly what happened in the last two polls; JP got to 4th in both then the JP/Sam dislikers heavily voted against him. IIRC in at least one poll -the Zap2it one I think the votes were much, much higher than in the other three polls of the quarter finals. (This is not a bash of Sam Heughan - I don't get Starz but I caught the first 8 episodes on a Comcast Free Starz weekend and he's fantastic as a Jamie).

    ReplyDelete
  48. Far as I know neither of them or the show won anything TCA. It's always more younger shows or who's more popular.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Aww, I do kinda wish that Jared would win now that he is nominated. :) I think it'd be so cute because Jared won a contest to be a presenter on the 1999 Teen Choice Awards. That led him to get a part in Gilmore Girls and the rest is history.

    ReplyDelete
  50. well he allway's get nominated and never win so its just who care's anymore and the PCA they get nominated and the show win's but the guys do not so why vote in the 1st place?

    ReplyDelete
  51. If some fans vote against Jared, I find that to be extra petty. If Jared won, it would not take anything away from Jensen and/or Misha. In addition, Supernatural isn't represented in any other main category.

    ReplyDelete
  52. No, it would not take away votes from MC who was the Zap2it round in the category that JP was in - don't recall which now (I think JA was in another voting category at that time) but a 'win' would advance JP to the semis where an MC win would be more threatened. So I'm convinced that dislikers voted as hard as possible in the earlier rounds to ensure that their favorite would advance and then voted against JP if he made the quarter finals. Like I said there were far more votes in the JP/SH round than there were for other 3 voting pairs.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Candace I could probably overlook that one because she kinda got the Laurel/Katie treatment in, parts of this season but Stephen n NO Grant that's all kinds of fucked up. Grant's Barry is a better character n hands down Grant is a better actor he should be on this list.

  54. Yes, I agree with you that they were thinking "strategically". In my post above, I was referring to the Teen Choice Awards.

If some people who are ans of just Jensen or Misha don't like the thought of Jared winning then they should just ignore the awards. There is no need to go the extra mile to be mean and bitter by actually voting against Jared when the other guys aren't even nominated in the same category.

  55. I find Grant to be better as well due to the diversity in his acting. He can be funny ans cute but also emotional. Oliver only ever seems to be depressed and always complains. However, that is due to his dialogue, not his acting skills

  56. Sci-Fi/ fantasy show is the hard est category. I Would vote for the 100, AoS and OUAT. Not for arrow though, even though i watch it. Season 3 was too terrible. I Would be so unhappy if it won

  57. Shows like the 100 are actually excellent. It is also critically acclaimed and the CW's Breaking Bad

  58. True Ollie is emo-central so u r right about the writing for the character. Let's see if he stops his whining in S4 seeing how he is suppose to want to be the hero not feel like it's his cross to carry. I like to think a big part of his woe is me tude comes from feeling he has to save the city not that he wants to do it. At least that's what I hope the whole whining/bitching endlessly thing is about, otherwise this guy is the worst hero I've seen on tv/movies anywhere. Lol

  59. Glad for Stephen and Emily but kinda weird that Grant didnt get nomination. Maybe they keep it for another category. Also Danielle got a nom but i think Candice had way more tweets for her nom and wasnt included so...

  60. I'm kinda glad that Agents Of SHIELD is nominated especially after this incredible season but it's weird (and sad) that none of the actors or actresses got nominated, they are pretty good.

  61. I would say they have a shot for Breakout Star and Scene Stealer. Just hope they dont put them in one category.

  62. I'm so happy that Arrow, Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards got nominated <3

    ReplyDelete
  63. Personally I hope they don't get those noms. Maybe if they didn't nominate Danielle in a real category but to give Candace's Iris "breakout or scene stealer" while giving Danielle's Caitlin "choice actress" is insulting imo. Same goes for Grant just leave these two out of the popularity contest. The show Flash n it's actors has been given a great reception since its premiere so it should be okay if they r amiss for this one.

  64. Yeah, JA & JP were in the final nominees in TCA's 2012&2013 but Ian S won - in fact Ian and Nina have both won from 2012-2014 (that's as far as I checked). Chances are better than 1/5 that Ian S will win again.

  65. I agree... I have no idea how one would 'police this' though.... my crude understanding is cheating is rampant in these kinds of polls. One vote/per day/per IP address would cut down on cheating but there are ways for serious 'cheaters' to change their IP addresses - I've seen 'how to guides' posted.

  66. I definitely hope that the voting for the Teen Choice Awards wasn't unlimited even though there seems to be a lot of debate over it. In my opinion, People's Choice Awards have already been ruined because so many people use bots etc. to rig the contest for their fave and the PCAs don't seem to want to do anything about it. They only care about getting the maximum amount of clicks and exposure and not about the results being even remotely fair.

  67. Yay for arrow, emily and omggg hope olicity gets nominated too :/.

  68. I just checked the voting rules. It's 1 vote/category/day in one of the three platforms - Registered public Facebook. Instagram, or Twitter accounts. The age limit seems to have been removed. Voters must be US residents or residents of a US territory. The rules state that any abuse of the rules will disqualify all the users votes. "Other (voting) categories (there's currently no Breakout star/Chemistry/Liplock, maybe a few others that I can't remember) will be added later".

I can't see where the rules specifically say that IP addresses are being tracked to check for violations but I assume they are otherwise how would Fox know where the votes originated? I am curious if one has multiple same platform accounts (like Twitter, for example) if the Voting Tabulator will 'know that' and 'throw out' the duplicate votes at minimum or disqualify all votes from that IP address?

  69. Thank you for the information! Very interesting because that could explain why Jared qualified as a nominee but Jensen and Misha didn't. It's well-known that Jensen and Misha's fans are a lot more active in polls etc. than Jared's. That's why they usually win. Yet no matter how much Tumblr might want to put out there that Jared is so much less popular than the other two actors, those fans are just a portion of all of the people who know Jared. In fact, Q scores prove how liked Jared is.

So maybe the people who voted for Jared were the type to show their support for him more casually because they are more mainstream fans whereas many fans of Jensen and Misha were voting like crazy like they always do – expect in this case it did them no favors because those votes were not counted.

It seems that in this contest, it would be better to have a lot of general fans rather than to have a relatively small group of fans who are very dedicated to clicking a button over and over again and even resorting to cheating to get their fave to win.

Voters must be US residents or residents of a US territory.

Aren't a lot of Misha's fans Russian? Brazilian fans are also vocal in general.

  70. How is it not a big deal that voting is disabled if you're not located in the US ???

Completely retarded decision on their part.

  71. Teen choice noms are so amusing...

  72. Aren't a lot of Misha's fans Russian? Brazilian fans are also vocal in general.
Yes, my understanding is that MC is very popular Russia, Brazil I'm not certain about.
As with the nominations, I believe in the final voting, all of twitter, Instagram, and Facebook votes will be counted and some votes may be excluded for reasons (like cheating). I saw several different screencaps of 'sour tweets' showing that MC & JA were way ahead of JP- the tweets had different counts (he was either 7 or 8 in total tweets), The Flash's Grant Gustin was ahead of MC & JA and Joseph Morgan had far less than Jared. (I believe that Grant's votes will go toward 'Breakout Star' though.)
That's just tweet votes though. JA & MC - Dean & Castiel (as well as JA & JP, Dean & Sam) were voted heavily for 'ChoiceChemistry. JA/MC have a strong chance of being in that 'wave' that's not open to voting yet. I did see a few tweets with at least one Dean/Cas fan boasting that they were going to cheat by creating a voting 'bot' or had already cheated to get lots more votes for ChoiceChemistry. I have no idea if the so called 'cheating claims' had an impact on JA & MC not making to 'top 6' ScifiActor choices or JP and JM had lots more Instagram and Facebook votes.

  73. Yeah, I don't think Misha is a particular favorite in Brazil, they tweet to all of the actors.

I'm sure Destiel fans tried to get Dean/Cas nominated, they always go hard in these sort of things. But if the Teen Choice Awards counts only 1 vote per day per person in each of the platforms, I'm not sure that the fans are gonna have the numbers to earn a nomination for their pairing. On the other hand, it's likely that the category is not as competitive as the main ones.

(People are free to tweet etc. as much as they want, doesn't mean it's gonna make a difference when the votes are counted... The Teen Choice Awards can't stop people from trying to cheat on Twitter but they can decide not to include the thousands of votes that may belong to single accounts.)

  74. Where is Lana Parilla ? :(

  75. Happy for The 100!

There's some contreversy because you can see the votes on twitter/instagram and JMO barely had any compared to others. There were several actresses who had more than her but weren't nominated. Thus people think ABC payed for OUAT to get some nominations. Also Grant from The Flash had most votes for actor and he wasn't nominated. The Flash had the 2nd most votes(after The 100) and also wasn't nominated. Clearly not all these nominations are done by voting.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I hope The 100, Eliza, and Bob win! Though I think we all know we'll get the predictable resulrs same as every year. With TVD, Nina, and Ian winning. Teens are obsessed with them.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Sorry for the long delay. The first wave voting is over today with the rest of the categories probably 'up' tomorrow, including 'ChoiceChemistry' and we'll see if Dean/Cas made that category. I'm not voting for D/C if they made it because the two actors barely shared solo scenes together in the last two seasons. I'm also not voting for D/C (if D/C makes it) because I refuse to support the Destiel's fake ship just to be loyal to Supernatural.
Speaking of cheating I saw a screen grab on Twitter recently where the poster sent the evidence of cheating to Teen Choice Awards committee where one 'voter' had was said to have ~ 100 Facebook accounts and voted with them all. Seriously! "Winning" a Teen Choice Award is very nice but probably has not much more 'career impact' than winning People's Choice Awards.

  78. Thank you for the news! Damn, now I feel a bit bad that I didn't take the time to vote for Jared. But polls aren't my thing. :/ I'm still hoping that Jared will win even though it seems unlikely. :D

I think it'd be absolutely ridiculous if Dean/Cas got nominated for the chemistry category instead of Dean/Sam. The latter is what got the show this far.

  79. So glad to see Chris wood & Kat graham nominted. They both did phenomenal work in TVD Season 6.Also happy for The Flash & Gina(JtV).

  80. These awards are a joke.

  81. It comes down to who the producers can get to be there and who they can't . Even if you got alot of votes if you can't come no surf board for you. Fan decided who gets on as nominations but do not win. Yeah what a waste.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Absolutely, not even are most of these categories absolutely useless but also a batch of the nominees are a joke.

This award show is not my cup of tea

  83. So indifferent that you just had to come here and tell everyone how much you don't care that she's on the list. Logic!

  84. Choice TV: Chemistry - #ChoiceTVChemistry

Jensen Ackles & Misha Collins, “Supernatural”

Maybe Sam and Dean fans don't care to vote for these sort of things because it seems almost redundant? The show is about the two brothers and the Js are the stars. Destiel shippers, on the other hand, need more validation for their ship.

Nominating only Jensen and Misha could be sort of "disrespectful" because the show became what it is and has lasted this long because of Jensen and Jared's chemistry. However, some fans have an agenda so they are going to be more active and of course they can vote for whoever and whatever they want. Everyone from the actors themselves to Eric Kripke, other writers, producers etc. have acknowledged that the chemistry between Jensen and Jared contributed to the show's success greatly.

Minions/Destiel fans have a tendency to win polls so this nomination did not come as a surprise. However, I'm not fully convinced that they will win since Teen Choice Awards has stricter rules for voting than People's Choice Awards. But those other fandoms might not be as hungry for a win...

    ReplyDelete
  85. They going to have a hard time cause the producers in the people at fox decided who wins out of the top 4 in each category. In they usually go with mainstream stuff.
Its a reason why SPN never won one of these things even at it's prime.
