[Possible Spoilers below...just being sarcastic as this is such a played out cliche in TV]

Let me guess...the reason the writers have the boyfriend show up in 1x07 is because in 1x06 Kirsten and Cameron either kiss or almost kiss. Then, the boyfriend shows up in 1x07 and Cameron will go over to Kirsten's house thinking there's a chance for them. When he knocks on the door, a shirtless boyfriend will either answer or show up behind Kirsten as she answers and Cameron will walk away with a wounded heart.

So cliche but I will probably still watch. lol
