ABC FAMILY GREENLIGHTS SCRIPTED DRAMA PILOT “STAY”
AS NETWORK LOOKS TO INCREASE ITS ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING DRAMA JOINS OTHER PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED PILOTS “BEYOND” AND “GORGEOUS MORONS”
Burbank, CA (June 11, 2015) – As ABC Family works to double its original programming over the next four years, the network has greenlit pilot production on a new one-hour drama “Stay.” This drama pilot joins previous pilot orders for “Gorgeous Morons” and supernatural drama “Beyond.”
“’Stay’ is an emotionally powerful story about a fractured family that comes back together under the most unexpected of circumstances,” said Karey Burke, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, ABC Family. “’Stay’ is a haunting and surprising ride that we are excited to bring to life.”
“Stay” is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about a recently widowed police detective and his two daughters who are stranded at a foreboding hotel and must unravel the hotel’s mysteries to escape. “Stay” is written and executive produced by Spenser Cohen. Jon Turteltaub (“National Treasure,” “Sorcerer’s Apprentice”) will direct the pilot and also serve as Executive Producer, along with Anna Halberg.
