WGN America's hit television show, Salem, has not one, but two amazing people that created it. Two heads are better than one, right? Brannon Braga and Adam Simon have been the driving force behind the network's first ever original scripted series. Of course, WGN America couldn't have picked a better show to kick-start their hit original programming that includes Manhattan and the upcoming Outsiders.
Now 10 episodes deep in its second season, Salem is hotter than ever. With new cast additions including the legendary Lucy Lawless as the villainess Countess Ingrid Marburg and her son Sebastian, played by rising star Joe Doyle, among other talented actors, season two has defied television boundaries. It's crazy. It's wild. It's bloody brilliant. Salem is, as I've said before if you have followed my reviews, the best show on television right now.
There are only 3 episodes left of the season and without a shadow of a doubt, it's going to be off the richter scale. It's going to be insane! The show creators have graciously accepted my offer of an interview and while I have so many questions I would like to ask them myself, I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask the wonderful fans of Salem to submit to me their own questions. Not only is it my chance to pick their brains, but yours too.
Have a burning question you need to ask them about the nearing end of season two? Want to know more about what's already happened on the show, or maybe you're more interested in what goes on behind the scenes of Salem? I will compile the best questions amongst my own and ask the two people who birthed this remarkable show the best ones. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to ask every single one, and I already have about 104 I'd like to ask myself, so don't be disappointed if your question isn't asked.
So here are the ways you can submit a question to me:
1. Leave a comment below.
2. Tweet to me your question with my Twitter handle in the tweet (@gavinh2010).
3. Send me an e-mail - gavin@spoilertv.com
Those are probably the easiest ways to contact me, but if you do reach me by other means, I will still check the question out. There is no limit of how many questions you submit to me; it may strengthen your chances of one of your questions being asked! Go wild, be creative. Now is your chance to learn what you want to know about Salem. I will keep this open all weekend, so the deadline will be the witching hour - midnight of Monday June 15, just in case you have any new questions or some are answered in this Sunday's episode, "On Earth As In Hell".
A special thank you to Adam Simon and Brannon Braga for accepting my invitation to interview them exclusively for SpoilerTV.

ReplyDeleteWere they planning from the beginning to make Isaac unluckiest character?
ReplyDeleteIs it actors or creators decision to minimize number of Madekwe and Goldberg shared scenes?
Which character was cast as first and which as last one?
How many deaths can we expect before season ends?
Thanks for your questions! Those are great questions, would love to know the answer to them too! I'm pretty sure Ashley Madekwe was first cast as Tituba, but not sure on the last person to be cast on the show ;)

Great questions Ron! Thanks so much for submitting them!
ReplyDeleteWill Isaac ever have any happiness?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so, poor Isaac :( Thanks for submitting!
ReplyDelete-What can they tease about the finale?
ReplyDelete-What exactly did the ritual do to John- did it change him and if so- how? He mostly used artifacts to kill witches, there didn't seem to be anything inherently different about him.
- Can they explain the love spell Anne put on Cotton? Does it create feelings where none were before? Does it amplify them? Just make him obsessed with her? He seemed to still have free will and didn't stay with her when she asked. Can it be reversed or lifted?
- What can we expect from Tituba in the remaining episodes?
- Is John Jr. himself creepy or was it always the devil in him that was doing those weird and scary things?
Excellent questions IvyB! Thanks so much for participating!
ReplyDeleteHaha I had the same initial reaction when I got the OK to do this. I asked them directly if they'd be interested and they were totally up for it. Amazing team at Salem! Was the same when I interviewed Maggie Friedman of Witches of East End - I just asked her haha. I was worried about asking if I overstepped or seemed cheeky, but the answer will always be no if I don't ask so I just went for it :P
ReplyDeleteOne of the good things about social media is the availability of creators and actors and the ability to interview them/discuss things with them on line, without having to meet them or go through official channels (incidentally, that's also one of the negative things about social media, too much accessibility to people).
ReplyDeleteIf you don't try, you'll never know! When are you interviewing them?
Too true. So much good and bad with the whole social media aspect. And I'm going to check in with them after the deadline on Monday to check their availability. I'm hoping Wednesday with the interview published on Thursday/Friday before the final 2 episodes of the season.
ReplyDeleteCool, good luck, hope it all goes well and I look forward to reading the interview.
ReplyDeleteGosh there's just so much I wanna know but my mind goes blank when I think of what I want to ask!
ReplyDelete- Will Anne have a big part to play in the "war" as the season draws to a close?
- Is there any chance of Gloriana ever returning to win back Cotton's heart?
- Will we see the full potential of Anne's power by the season's end?
- Can we expect to see more of the creepy devil guy that Anne was attacked by?
- Will Isaac ever have something good happen to him?
- Will Mary and Tituba ever be friends again? :(
- Can the Countess stay on the show forever?? PLEASE.
I think that'll do (yes, I LOVE Anne so my questions are mostly based around her!), I could probably think of more but I wanted to at least get some in before the deadline.
Love these questions Adam! Thanks for asking.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry I'm always reading everything but doesn't feel it till I watch it. Salem disappointed me with last seasons season finale, but have to check it out cause of Lucy.

I don't think season 2 will disappoint you at all. It will be awesome for you to binge the entire season once it's over. I always enjoy shows so much more when I do that. Let me know your thoughts of the season once you do though!
