  1. Very sad. He and Bela Lugosi were my 2 favourite Dracula's.

Time for a Hammer Horror rewatch.

Heartbreaking. Such a uniquely talented actor. He will always be Francisco Scaramanga from the Man With The Golden Gun to me.

  5. This is so sad, I mean look at all the franchises he was involved in, his list of films is so impressive. 93 is a good age but still can't help but feel a little sad.

  9. If ever anyone lived a long, fulfilled life, it was Chrisopher Lee. He was a joy to watch. He lived a lot of lives in his 240+ movies plus his real one. Amazing.

  11. So sorry to hear about Christopher Lee's passing! Long before Anne Rice's vampire chronicles, "Twilight" and "The Vampire Diaries", Christopher Lee was THE vampire, a worthy successor to Bella Lugosi. He was extremely talented and performed many other fine roles, but whether he would be pleased about it or not I believe he will be most remembered for his portrayal of Dracula in many Hammer films. By today's standards those films are campy but they will always have a place in my vampire loving heart. Well done, Mr Lee, and RIP.

  12. I should be sad but I'm not. He lived a long and fullfilled life. In fact he did movies until his end, a full blown actor that loved his craft. There's nothing more than getting to live your dream until the end of your days.
93 is a good age to go out, he was always one of my idols.

    RIP

  13. It's sad that the mantle hasn't been passed during Lees lifetime. Lugosi passed it onto Lee but Lee didn't get the chance to pass the bat shaped cape on :/

  14. OMG, this is sad. I mean he lived a long life and that's great, but he will be missed. He was a true gift to film industry. It's especially shocking for me because I just told my friend in these days how old he truly is and she didn't even believed it and we both said he looks much younger and so healthy.
Rest in Piece and Thank you for the great memories!

  18. “Christopher Lee had become a walking folk memory of popular cinema: an actor of muscular intelligence and grace with a staggering career, who pulled off the difficult trick of surpassing his great early role without ever needing to be embarrassed by it"
    Peter Bradshaw in The Guardian
