    Loving this show! Its all starting to make sense now. The reason the town is in secrecy and the reason they do executions. PEOPLE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

    Saw it last week and it was definitely the most boring episode imo. Most of it was just explaining things we already knew. I loved the thing about Group B though.

    I thought it was good. I definitely enjoyed the flashbacks with David and Pam. It was so weird to see her flashback specifically b/c she was so....nice. lol It was weird!! And i still want her killed. lol The Sheriff's story was interesting as well, being recruited from the man himself. Seriously though, what is it with him and Ice cream??? Smh, w/e he's dead, i shouldn't care. lol When David told the story of the Group A people, i felt bad for them that sucks. they're screwed either way, and it's ALL starting to make sense. I blame this all on David. haha i do, crazy bastard. I'm nervous about Ben though i feel he's going to crave and Ethan should really look out for him.

    I really enjoyed Kate tonight. It's always back and forth with this woman, idk whether to like her or hate her. She's a very complex character. And i did enjoy theseen with her and Harold. That was the most realistic scene they've had since the show started. I like that through all the madness, they did form a bond, even if they're not really a married couple, but then again they've been stuck together for so long how could they not? But i'm very interested to see Harold's fiance. If she's still alive anyway.

    It was rather slow compared to previous episodes, but I enjoyed it all the same. I had already guessed after last episode that the nurse Pam, Pilcher and Mrs. Fisher were the ones pulling the strings. It did surprise me though the whole group a/b thing, I guess that's why Mrs. F threw that little cautinary tale while telling the kids the "truth".
    Still a good episode, they can't all be great.

    David Pilcher has put a lot of humans in those capsules starting from the late 90s. He himself along with Pam and others put themselves in those capsules in 2014. Woke up 2000 yrs later and released a group of people (not all) from their capsules - this is Group A. Group A people couldn't handle the truth - some committed suicide, some tried to escape but were hunted by Abbies, some tried to blow up the town etc. etc. In short, telling the truth to Group A people proved catastrophic.



    Now Pilcher has released others from the time capsules and continues to do so. This comprises Group B. He doesn't want to tell them the truth and keeps them inside using any and all coercive means. He is convinced that if he tells them the truth that they will not believe and will revolt.



    His main hopes lie with the children of the town. Hence they are the ones who are told the truth during their orientation at the school since he believes their minds are capable of absorbing the truth.

    Why do you assume we will see Harold's fiance? For all we know, Harold was chosen and was kidnapped, but his fiance was left behind. That would mean there's no chance she is still alive 2000yrs later.

    A great follow-up episode after 1x05. I think the series should come to an end after episode 10. Altough it's a great series, it shouldn't be dragged so much and finish on time.

    So according to Deadline, WP has been doing well enough that FOX wants a second season with new cast members. Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about that.

    Interesting episode, but I kind of love the idea that there is still something experimental about this. Group A the Test Group and Group B The Control Group! I remember reading synopsis about a group of insurgents, so interesting to see that coming into play after this big twist! With four episodes left, I still feel like there is some bit of truth missing! Looking forward to seeing how this will all end. There's something about Hope Davis' character that doesn't sit right with me, but I'm always suspicious of her! :D

    I'm hoping they don't renew for a second season. Part of the appeal of this show is the cast, I don't think a new cast would work. Also, I like the idea that the story has a beginning, middle and end. It should end with the end...not drag on just to have another season.

    Another exposition heave episode, but it was good to get a better and more rounded view of the story.
    I'm glad that Ethan was straight forward with the Doc. Yes good intentions and all that, but it wasn't on him to decide on other people's lives the way he has... I'm just glad Ethan did call him on it. And I'm also glad he does seem to be somewhat aware of that fact, which is why he wants Ethan around.

    Also finding out Kate and Howard are insurgents, was interesting. I knew she was smarter than that.

    I agree. I mean I guess it depends on what that exactly means. A full anthology series where "wayward pines" means something different every season could be interesting, but it would also be interesting to see it connect somehow. But as an ongoing series, I def think they will run out of ides, become extremely repetitive, and ruin what they have here, although I guess that depends on the ending. So I guess the idea of a fresh cast sounds good...

    She just seemed overly supportive and somewhat unreasonable at his time of doubt, it almost felt like she was the one driving it all. I know we got a quite a bit of story/flashback in this episode, but I don't think we've seen the 'origin' behind Pilcher coming up with the idea or how he came to believe this future was really the truth? (scenes that show him being convinced) I could almost see the government pushing him to do something, making him apart of the experiment --or someone else intentionally creating Abbies to push in order to restart the human race over or something, simply because they have a vandetta against [what was] the current state of humanity. Going with LOST-esque winks, kind of like a reset!


    But then again, you're right, she could just be a fanatic of his work just because.

    I'm just pointing out the simple answer and playing devils advocate for arguments sake, but personally I don't think you're being overly sensitive at all. She's super shifty...


    And for the record I completely endorse the theory that Abbies weren't a simple evolution, but could very well be an experiment gone wrong. In fact it was my first thought after the orientation episode, exactly because taking her word for granted didn't feel like the smart choice...

    The episode was just okay. I'm struggling with 2,000 years time difference, especially as it relates to Matt Dillon's wife and son and their encounter with the sheriff outside of what I thought was Wayward Pines. He pulled them over and damaged their car and that was the last thing they remember. Did the sheriff time travel to 2014 and then back to the future with the wife and son? In the first episode, wasn't there someone within the FBI that was in contact with someone in Wayward Pines and who was aware what was going on? If that were the case, how could they be in contact with someone living 2,000 years later? Maybe I'm missing something here or over-thinking..

    No there's no time travelling.


    Evidently, Ethan's supervisor (who deductively seems to have been a part of the whole Wayward Pines project), warned Pilcher back in 2014, that Theresa and Ben were on Ethan's after he was kidnaped.
    So Pilcher set Sheriff to take them down.Then they were also put on suspended animation.

    And when Ethan was getting restless in the future about needing his family, they just unfroze Theresa and Ben.

    Catching up to this show, and I can't believe people keep mentioning the "Pope and Ethan's family Incident" After ep 4 that should of been a easy question to answer on your own.
