  1. 4028??? Wtf??? Abby's, there's a name, finally! And all that information?? I don't believe this. Something doesn't add up, and I'm confused ONLY on the Nurse. She's able to go in and out of wayward Pines, Sooo why can't the rest?? And why is she the one who's most creepy??? Omg this show is trippy!! My mind is blown and I'm so hyped!!

    2 weeks?!?! What???? Noooooo!!!!

You beat me to it! I'm still picking up my jaw from the floor.
WTF!!! 4028?!?! Really? and 2095 was what? the end of the world? The whole coin scene completely blew mi mind, so simple yet so eye opening.
So, Pilcher did what? Choose people he tought promissing and put them and himsel in stassis? Until when? who woke them up? They just threw so many things at us that I'm not sure what to make of it.
And I'm with you, 2 weeks?!?! I love that they're airing it simultaneously with the states, but I hate to have to simultaneously wait with you too. So not fair!

When then be evil and spoil me. Seriously! do it! Or at least tell me which book to pick up, the second or the third?

  5. Me too it's do much fun.

  6. Dont be one of those people who starts a Trilogy at book 2 or 3. Start at book 1 like Nature intended and read that, then book 2 then book 3. Its only 3 books. Its not like you need to read Wheel of Time or anything.

  7. I love that they are not dragging out the story and mystery too long and giving answers.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Damn!!!! Now, that was awesome.

I've got all three books on my kindle, but I'm liking the series too much, and I fear that if start reading now, I will start comparing the differences and it will ruin it for me. At the same time, I really want some answers, so reading from a certain point on seems like a good solutions, it wouldn't ruin the series so far and it would give me the answers I'm looking for...

  10. WHAT!?! My jaw was on the floor the entire time, that was soooo good! How the hell did this not make it onto the Fall/Mid-season schedule? FOX's best show by far imo.

When I went to download it I noticed it was uploaded 12 hours ago, did air early somewhere or something?

  11. Omg what a epsiode! So shocking. Now we have to wait 2 weeks? Ugh!

  12. Well the episode was definitely something interesting. But here is my opinion on the 4048, i knew that i was the future from one scene in episode 1. In episode 1 there is a scene where Ethan goes by a bush and he looks at the note and notices that it says "There are no crickets in Wayward Pines", that sealed it for me to know that it was in to the future, the only thing i didn't know was that it was that kind of a future and more importantly that they are the only humans who survived.

  13. No way. You gotta read the books. Just wait till the show ends, because I can tell you know its not exactly following the books. Not at all. Elements are there sure, but I dont think if they did the book word for word it would make for good tv like this show has been so far.

    ReplyDelete
  14. And I've been keeping this a secret for nearly a year after reading the synopsises from the books. I can finally rest easy now. Wheeew!

    Poor Ethan.

So technically, the kids aren't really brainwashed, it's just something that would jeopardize everyone's lives if they spill about the Abbies.

  15. So what is it? Cannibals, a cult?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Remember that movie, "The Time Machine"? Basically, in the movie, an apocalyptic event split the human race into two, those who were trapped under the darkness for centuries and devolved into flesh-eating monsters, the other stayed who they are and simply went back to basics.

The stuff about the kids weren't part of the book and were from Chad Hodge's own creation for the show.

  17. Never saw the movie but then how was ethan OUT of Wayward living a life if there were no more humans?

    ReplyDelete
  18. it's not adding up for me....mainly because of the scenes with the scientist in the current time when he was speaking to the guy that worked with Ethan and how was the sheriff (terrence howard) able to leave wayward pines into the current time when he sabotaged teresa's car? how can that time lapse be explained by this so called "truth?"

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh my god what just happened.
This series just keeps surprising me! We need more of those 10-episode events in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  20. everything we've seen in the previous eps that were OUTSIDE WP, took place in the past. Everything IN WP is 4028.

    ReplyDelete
  21. They probably learned that lesson from Lost. No more infuriatingly drawn out mystery bullshit, with no answers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well I didn't see that coming. So this show is basically Planet of the Apes meets The Matrix... or something. I wonder how much of what we've seen (i.e. the car accidents/past) is actually just implanted memories?

I don't understand how they can expect us to believe that the kids keep this all a secret from their parents. And why? I don't believe that ALL of the adults are that fatalistic and will kill themselves when they find out. I mean, come on.

But the show surprised me so I'm looking forward to see how it all plays out.

  23. Oh wow, I didn't realize this show was based on a book. Ha. I just thought it was about some government conspiracy or brain-washing scheme. Woah. Well that gives me hope that maybe the show will make it past the 1st season.

    ReplyDelete
  24. OH. MY. GOD. And you are telling me this show has only seen the light because of Terrence Howard? This was one of the best episodes I have watched this year. The lead-up to the truth, as well as the execution, was perfect. I love how the camera cut to our three characters and the voice-overs were great. The awesome thing is all of the things made sense like I never thought they would and the truth was virtually unpredictable. The episode made me appreciate the previous episodes even more. This show should have aired in the fall. As @SGU said, it is FOX's best show by far.

  25. The funny thing is that I am now yelling at the wife to stop digging for the truth.

  26. LOL! OMG I wasn't expecting 4028!!! Oh the questions:

How did the Abbies come about? Did Pilcher have anything to do with it. Was it a plague,Biological, viral, chemical?

Why couldn't Pilcher brainwash the adults while they were in hibernation so when they awoke they wouldn't know the difference?

What is the end game? What is the purpose. Feels like Battlestar Galactica "we need to reproduce in order to keep the human race alive'....But if so how does this little town grow and expand?

So was the sheriff in on it from the beginning, and nurse Pam for that matter?

If the new guy (can't remember his name) actually woke up and saw nurse Pam can she time travel along with Picher and others?

And what is preventing the Abbies from climbing down the mountain the way Ethan climbed up and out??

I have so many questions...guess i should read the book...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh my...
Human kind mutated into Gollums. An ADULT said that kids can't tell the truth to ADULTS, because they are stuck in the PAST (I guess they've chosen the least adult ADULT to be a teacher and gain that kind of knowledge). The town keeps the appearances of the PAST with houses, school and not needed jobs, so they won't freak out, but kids are chosen to know the truth. They will need it when the ADULTS die out, but when will it happen if there are still 'accidents' and new ones come to WP? What's the point of picking ADULTS if they need cameras and microphones to shut their mouths?

  28. I'm not sure I'm buying into it, too neat n tidy. The Truth....... or THIER Version of the Truth?

    • Pilcher can CONVENIENTLY go back n forth in time to pick the people he "needs?" lol -does he have a time machine? Right !
    • Nurse (psycho) Rachet being kind ?....... that alone would freak me out
    •ARK : I couldn't help but laugh, don't think they brougot them in 2x2
    • Brainwashing the young'us .........glad to see that Ben isn't quite ready to buy into it.
    • Are the Abby's a genetic experiment Pilcher worked on that went awry?
    • Is this another Elaborate VILLAGE?

I couldn't help but laugh at the title, especially with all the X-Files buzz going on......
The Truth - WAS out there !
Yet, the more TRUTH they gave us, the more questions I have !!!!

    Love It!

  29. that was so good I rewatched it again

Asuming their version of the truth is the truth, or relatively close to the truth, I don't think Pilcher is travelling in time, I think they showed us those scene in parallel when it actually happened in the past, when he was populating his ark.
I'm not surprised they went for brainwashing the kids, for most normal adults it would be imposible to believe that story without empirical evidence, and since they're not letting anyone out that would be impossible, we would all believe everything is fake. Now, I fear for Ben... he doesn't seem smart enough to fake buying into it, his face said it all, and that could be a problem.
I think the Abby's are part of an experiment Pilcher was part of, and, again asuming they're telling us the truth, he foresaw what was coming and he started his own secret project, as a backup plan.
Of course they could also pull an Ascencion on us (in reference to last years SiFi channell miniseries) and it could all be a very elaborate social experiment. Only time will tell.
So far, I'm pissed that we have to wait 2 weeks, it's so unnecessary!

  31. This show deserves some recognition!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lol Give us all this info, then make us wait 2 weeks ....... processing time ; )

Could be. Didn't think about it being a "falshback." If this is the case, wonder how he CHOSE who would be included in his ARK. Does this mean that Sheriff Pope was in on it from the begining? - he did cause Theresa and Ben's accident. Although it WOULD explain the dust on the cars in the "bunker" Ethan snuck into, the lack of crickets, and the age / aging discrepancies.

Agreed, Ben isn't quite buying into things - at least not yet. . . . worried for the boy.

Like I said, they gave us such amazing info, only to cause twice as many questions !
Love a show that can do that !

  33. Morlocks ! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow! That was truly wicked. I loved it, can't wait to see how this all plays out.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Mind-blown. Amazing hour of television. Gonna need to process all of it and come back to discuss, lol. I'm actually glad I watched it a day later, I wasn't ready!! xD And nooo to the 2 weeks break :(

  36. If they are the last humans, where did the materials come from to build the houses? What about that Wyoming delivery truck? gasoline for vehicles? Vehicles? Helocopter? Food? All the details of "modern" life?
For those who know the books, are these things addressed? Or is this just "suspend credulity" time?
I predict that Nurse Pam and David Pilcher have a connection that will be another plot-twisting reveal.

    ReplyDelete
  37. My theory is that the Abbies probably didn't "evolve" they were human experiments that went out of control.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Really great episode!

I liked how they revealed some stuff, but still have us wondering and questioning the full credibility of what we saw and what was said.

This is a very good mystery/fantasy/scifi show and I'm glad I'm so hooked!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Shrugs. Maybe. I wouldn't knock it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maybe the nurse woke them up?? I have no clue. lol i got nothing. = )

    ReplyDelete
  41. Trust me, it will not take you long to read the books. I could not put them down!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hate to say it, but these 10 episodes are all that are planned for Wayward Pines. The show has said before it has a beginning, and middle and an end.
