  1. Just when I thought this show couldn't get more creative, it gives us a hermaphrodite!

-Love Mrs. S. backstory and the band number
-Finally, Fernenade is back, and his Bodyguard is creepy as all get out!
-Gracie is spy! But I hope she and Mark can find away to make up for the betrayl.
-Helena being Allison was one of best clone impersonating Clone scenes yet (and the Machete!!!)
-I know I could be wrong, but I still don't trust Shay and think it's not a coincidence she's in the military...
    -Dark Delphine is still awesome!
-Donnie & Helena are excellent together! (and love seeing Helena with their kids too)
-I hope there is some turn over with Rudy. I would like see something new motivate him. (and I wonder what this third faction is?)

Looking forward to the finale! Oh why is clone club almost over for the year already?? :(

  2. Great episode all about motherhood. Love the Helena-Donnie pairing a lot, and I'm interested to see where that final revelation takes us.

  3. She's a chimera certainly, as she has two sets of DNA, but there's nothing to suggest that she's an hermaphrodite. Most people who have absorbed a twin in the womb won't have any outward signs of it having happened.

  4. I adored the Donnie and Helena scenes again this week, and loved her pretending to be Alison XD I'm glad the drug business seems to be over too, though I guess there could still be a sting in the tail there to come yet.

I knew that Gracie was up to something from the way she hugged Helena last week, I just got her plan wrong, I thought she would be the one to nab the canister of babies. But it was her who had run to Caster about the book instead, the little sneak! I knew the thought of being with Mark would win out over the clone club in the end though, she was never going to fit in with them unfortunately :(

  5. Goddamn I love Helena. Her scenes with Donnie tonight were just perfect. Really wish we saw what she did to those egg thieves. Hope she took care of the cameras!

Not as good as 3x6 or 3x8 but it's still good :-)

  6. Helena and Donnie are another great Orphan Black pairing. I hope Helena's actions don't come back to haunt them.

Mrs S mother is both the Castor and Leda clone original and the twists keep on coming!

Now did crazy out of control Delphine still take care off Shay? I can imagine she might have.

Mrs S singing is everything <3

  7. Oh Gracie! I'm actually really worried for her and Mark though despite the betrayal, they can't be safe.

  8. Not exactly true, there are sometimes outward physicalities

  9. Oh, my mistake. My dogs constantly bark at night and I didn't hear what was exactly said and I asked my mom, who was watching it with me, and she said that she was like Lady Gaga and I took her word for it. Seriously sorry and thanks for the the actual term used.

  10. Yes, that's why I said most people don't show outward signs, and not all of them.

  11. It's an easy mistake to make, they weren't very clear with what she said, I think it's something that will be explored in more depth later on in the series. Chimera's are something I have been interested in since seeing a mini-series with John Lynch in way back in the late '80s/early'90s. It was about mixing human and chimp DNA, but the process is essentially the same. There's also a very good Stephen King book called The Dark Half about a writer whose absorbed twin starts to take control of his mind.

There are a few documented cases of natural cases of it happening with humans, though I think it's more common with IVF. It's often not discovered until someone needs an organ transplant, or needs to prove parentage. Though there can be cases where the absorbed twin is noticeable too, such as one side of your body may be different to the other - either different coloured eyes or hair - for example.

  12. Agreed, I don't think it will be the last we see of them. Coady may even get desperate enough to use Gracie to experiment on as a last resort since she has been sterilised by Mark, and has also carried Lena DNA at some point. She would have been much safer with Siobhan's protection than where she is now I fear.

  13. And now we start taking bets on which clone will have an "I'm my own grandparent" freakout :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. At least Gracie's actions are understandable, given what she's been through; I would have been so disappointed in the show if they had actually made Shay the mole, as that case never stood up to scrutiny. Mind you, to quote Alison from season 2, "you definitely can't trust Delphine" :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. My only disappointment in this episode is how easy the show is getting to predict. Episode 7 of seasons 2 and 3 were Alison farces ending with a relative of hers coming face to face with a clone, episodes 8 of each season have ended with someone falling flat on their face (1 Kira, 2 Cosima, 3 Rachel), and episode 9 of seasons 1 and 3 ended with a twins-in-the-womb reveal (Sarah/Helena split, and now Kendall fusion). And next week it looks like Rachel is The Prisoner (i.e. Patrick McGoohan's original, not the remake) that Sarah was in last season's finale ,)

  16. As much as I appreciate the work that goes into all of Tatiana's characters, Helena has really stolen the clone limelight this season for me. Her interactions with other characters are a real treat, though I think it's safe to say that Pupok and Donnie have been my favourite so far.

Ugh Delphine, I didn't think it was possible to dislike the character any more than I did already before this episode. Jealousy is never an attractive trait, can't stand her!

  17. Nice find, but I think some predictability and a formula of parallels is actually nice writing in story that is clearly about contrasting those parallels. It makes things feel solid and makes me feel comfortable about the writers at least having a plan or a formula to work off of.

  18. The only thing that they have going is that Mark is not yet experiencing glitches, where Rudy is, so if there is a show down between Rudy and Mark, I think Mark could win, especially also if they keep surprising us with Gracie, where she gets so upset, she comes to kill, and then becomes more understanding of Helena...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah Shay seemed too obvious. Have to agree with Alison, Delphine is not trust worthy!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I just hope nothing bad happens to Helena next week, she has the tendency to end up in a bad way in the season finales. But yes I really like her and she was adorable smiling and trying to be Alison.

Delphine is terrible, absolutely terrible. A part of me wishes they would kill her off but then we would just get Cosima mourning for ages which would be boring.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Haha yeah the whole Mrs S, her mother and the clone connection makes things so weird.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I still think there is something not right with Shay. Remember Coady had mentioned that she thinks there is a third faction...

There are times when the character is too direct and nosy and I don't by the way she behaved with Delphine, because I think if she was in the military, there's a good chance that she should be tougher than how she came off. We didn't even hear her try and explain her background....

    ReplyDelete
  23. Stay away from her Coady! Mark is the only Castor clone I've cared about so I do hope they manage to help the Leda clones instead but who knows with this show.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I still think there is something wrong with Shay ( Coady believes there is a third faction, whatever that exactly means...) and that I'm not sold that it's pure jealousy driving Delphine, but a deep and genuine wish to protect her. I think Cosimas open mindedness, can leave her extremely vulnerable and makes her come off a bit naive, when it comes to understanding the intentions of others. Delphine I think is in between a rock and a hard place and whose life is in constant jeopardy....Ferninade is coming back....

    ReplyDelete
  25. From the promo it looks like Shay might explain herself to Cosima next week... though, the producers have basically admitted she was written as a bait-and-switch to throw viewers off the track.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Now, which clone's voice do you read this in: "wait, does that make us her aunts?!?" :p

    ReplyDelete
  27. "I have a plan! I have part of a plan... 12%" - Guardians of the Galaxy ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Shay's in the finale promo, Cosima asks her about the military. Oh, and how very badly desperately do we need to see a full videoclip to that song? :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh yeah, I think there's definitely something shady about Shay, she's not who she appears to be imo. I'm hoping that we will see a third faction come into play here, or perhaps a military group that the Castor clones have seriously upset during one of their missions.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Dark Delphine": One of the producers referred to her in this episode as Hellphine... which kind of sounds like they subconsciously ship her with Helena. And that's where I try to stop thinking about it :p

    ReplyDelete
  31. Noooo, don't say that :( Lol. Helena has to be ok this time round surely...thou I'm sure the people she just killed will have a boss they report to who will be wondering what has happened to his money......

Yep, that's why I hope that isn't what happens in the finale, as much as I'd like to see her gone and James Frain take over as boss at Dyad. She's way too manipulative, and I get that she's in a difficult position, but it's not like she hasn't made those choices and kept secrets herself. I also completely understand why Shay had to be interrogated this week, but it didn't need to be handled so personally and spitefully. he just came across as a nasty piece of work, where as her emotions should have been left at the door.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Same here, Mark is alright. I feel that the long secondment from the group has made him far more caring.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree. Delphine is protecting Cosima, it is obvious to me since she declared that purpose at the beginning of the season. And of course she is jalous, she loves her so, she must be! About Shay, I don't think she's just a meaningless distraction because when characters are written in, they must have a purpose...If it's good writing, that is. And in the case of OB I believe it is ;) I love Donnie and Helena together and the actress who portrays Gracie in my opinion is great. She so talented.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Gracie does seem to have some sort of genuine attachment to Helena, their hug last night was very telling, it was obvious that it wasn't a doctor's visit she was going to by that point, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ya but I wouldn't put it past them to bait and switch us twice, especially since they waited to this episode to reveal a military background! It would be easy to assume she was a Castor Mole, it wouldn't have been as easy to guess that she could pull us into something else...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Haha! Ya!! I just meant that she tried to condemn Helena when play-fighting with Allison's daughter, because Helena is suppose to be on a different path (a path that Gracie would approve of), the path of motherhood, and it would be fun to see Gracie in a situation where she felt compelled to physically hurt someone else, because they were hurting someone she cared about...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ahh, yes, I see what you mean. I could totally see that happening in the future. Gracie knows a lot about morals and code of conduct, but has yet to actually learn many through life experience due her sheltered upbringing. It's actually one of the things I like about her as a character, and why I think she does bond with Helena in the way she has done. They are both now going through a retraining of sorts to relearn how to live in the real world. Their background are vastly different on the surface, but when it comes down to it they have both been controlled into behaving a certain way, and are now experiencing and experimenting with how freedom of choice allows them to behave instead.

  38. Gemma is a Padawan Learner, Helena is a Jedi Master :)

  39. I deliberately stopped myself from thinking like that when I realised Kellerman was the name of the double-agent in the classic Doctor Who serial Revenge Of The Cybermen, there's only so many knots I can twist my thoughts into before I lose count of how many sides a character might be on.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ok, we should just get married! :p

    ReplyDelete
  41. Exactly! 100% agree. Beautifully said! :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Then add Charlotte and Kira back in for good measure! My poor head!

    ReplyDelete
  43. That was just too much. I'm mindblown. And here I thought nothing would top last week's ending. I really need to cool off...But before I do so, I've got one question : when and how did the issue of Leda and Castor clones being BIOLOGICAL siblings come up earlier on in the season? Because I'm sure it did before, but I don't seem to remember the details, ugh. Was it when Sarah was in the Castor military camp, when they did some tests on her?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Also, looks like Sarah is biologically Mrs S.'s sister...or wait is she her mother? Sorta? This is really too confusing, but anyway - it's an awesome twist, ha.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think that the third fraction has more to do with the mysterious woman that was on the other line of the phone with Nealon last week, the one that was watching over Rachel's surgery...hmm.

    ReplyDelete
  46. It was good. Not great.

    - I'm a little torn over the convoluted/contrived MrsS's mum being the original...
    - So over the whole Delphine/Cosima drama.
    - Also Delphine intimidating Shay that way? Not cool... and Cos possibly letting her? Super not cool...
    - Saw Gracie being the mole when she started saying goodbye to everyone. I see why she did it. Kid doesn't really know better. But still, such a bummer...
    - The Helena/Donnie bits were awesome! Hands down best part of the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sometimes some of the intrigue feels a little loose to me and it did here (okay over the last three episodes which I stayed up late catching up on) We've got Leda, Castor and now a third party has stepped on the playing field. Beyond trying to solve the health issues of the clones I have no idea what any of these groups are after.

Do not threaten the beh-bies! I loved Donnie and Helena together.

Making Delphine the boss at Diyad has not made her an interesting character

Absolutely loved seeing every one in London. And the Kendall Malone reveal was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Focus on how cute Charlotte and Kira will be in a scene together, it'll either calm your head or completely blow it ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Leda/Castor siblings was spotted by Cosima when she and Scott ran tests on Seth's brain, Cosima told Sarah who told Mark before he took her to the military camp, then Sarah told Helena. So, episodes 4-5 of this season? Felix was definitely in mortal danger on lookout, Ferdinand already killed two of Mrs S' network earlier in the episode.
