Definitely an "AWESOME" episode! I loved the return of Cole, that was great! I was getting very worried about Jude and Connor's relationship at the Gay Prom but luckily all is well for team #Jonnor !!! I also enjoyed the SL with Nate and Lena. I was so happy when Steph defended Lena against her mother! Steph and Lena are seriously the best couple ever! Still mad that Mariana had sex with Wyatt like seriously what was she thinking? I think it was best however that she broke it off with Mat. And finally Brandon got kicked out of his prestigious summer camp which honestly I didn't really care about. Looking forward to more of Callie and AJ!
The story line with Cole was amazing. When Cole took off his shirt and we saw the surgical scars it was an eye opening moment. I know I have never really thought about how emotional that must be for not only a transgender, but everyone who knows them. Then when Cole told Jude that labels can be liberating as well as hurtful was beautiful. I am getting annoyed with the romantic story lines among the teens though. I understand teen romance is complicated, but it is getting so that it is just "busy" and has no real story line any more. I thought the racism story line was cliche and it had an opportunity to be much more than it was. I still love the show, but I wish it would spend less time on teen romance.
Am I the only one who doesn't like AJ..... I'm still a Brandon/Caly fan I suppose (they have a great chemistry IMO) though I'm betting that in order to get back in music school he and Kat will bury the hatchet, work together and something will develop between them.
I didn't like AJ in the beginning, but this episode made me warm up to him a lot, because we finally got to see his real personality. I was also a Brandon/Callie fan, but I think that the writers are trying to move away from that relationship. And after watching this episode, I really do think that AJ and Callie have tons of chemistry ..their interactions on the beach and at the dining table were very cute. Like you said, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to develop something between Brandon and the music girl, but that one is a little harder to stomach! They'll probably come up with some personal explanation for why she's such a brat, so that we feel some empathy, but right now, I just find her annoying!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
