POLL : What did you think of Dark Matter - Episode 2?

  1. It was good, but I thought the script was too formula. And Two was able to bring in help way too easily at the end while still having amnesia. I was just like, come on, she knew where to go and who to get help from and was able to broker this deal still not knowing alot of stuff. That part really did not work for me, and I think it would have been better if the crew had to win this on their own without outside help. Like how selective is their amnesia?

I'd still like to know what's behind the big door on the ship. And do the crew have any family? How long will they have amnesia for? Still some unanswered questions.

  2. Loved it! That all moved so fast they could have spread it across two episodes, there was a lot skipped over too. I'm loving Five, she's so mysterious. Three calling Four slashy mcstaberson was hilsrious, the Android is really funny too. I can't even described the feeling I got when the Ferris Corp ship fired on Raza, it's so been long since there's been a space battle on TV!

  3. AWESOME EPISODE!!!!!!!!!! Loved Two getting one over on the Ferrous Corporation, was sad when Nassan died, i liked Rob Benedict in the role. Five you are one strange girl, Android is a hilarious character, "But i CAN smell them" LOL, the "Blaze of Glory" moment was one for the books LMAO!!!

  4. Pretty great follow-up to the pilot. I'm glad that the miners got a happy ending and will get 20 percent every time Ferrous makes a revenue sharing deal with Mikkei. Great job, Two! I'm loving her leadership role in all of this.

The Android continues to be adorable and hilarious at the same time. "So, do either of you possess offspring?" and the guards just pay no attention to her whatsoever. Ha! And I love that Four got way more screen time with him interrogating that Ferrous Corp guard and just kicking ass during that fight with the Raza crew and the miners vs. Deliverance (another badass action sequence!) "It's Bubba time!". Three was really great in this episode and so damn quotable.

The more we find out about Five and her powers, the more I'm so damn intrigued. So someone planted a virus to wipe out the crew's memories while they were sleeping. I'm guessing that the culprit was one of the corporations but the question is: Why? Because "We're dangerous" is a little bit too vague haha. Can't wait to find out. Six willing to sacrifice himself and attack the Deliverance ship to save the crew and the miners was so damn heroic. I already see the crew as family and I'm looking forward to seeing them bond more in the future.

Looks like Three will be pounding on that big metal door for a little bit longer. I wonder if he'll tell the rest of the crew what he found or if he'll keep it to himself and figure out how to open the door on his own. I really can't wait to see what's on the other side, looks to be someplace that holds a lot of secrets. Now the Raza will refuel, resupply, and will get to know one another before going on their way to their next adventure! Can't wait.

  5. Man the whole team are badasses. I hope they don't remember but still get all their skills back.

And I am glad the comic book story ended with this episode and now we can move on to the what next part.

I like how Two keeps teasing One. Even its just for fun it's fun.

Also glad one of them or someone wiped there memories. This way we get to see them grow again.

  6. I really want to like this show but I keep getting this 'wannabe Firefly' vibe. And it doesn't have any of the charm that Firefly had otherwise I wouldn't mind.

  7. I'm gonna go with "great" . I'm really hooked up and I'm really enjoying it. I just cannot wait to see next one.

  9. They explained that their amnesia was only in relation to there personal memories, they still have basic knowledge of a lot of stuff. It wouldn't have been too difficult to find the mining outpost, given their scanners and access to the future equivalent of the internet.
Unanswered questions are good this early in the game. It wouldn't be any fun if they told us every little thing at the very start.

  10. This season of Bitten sucked. I'm hoping they do better for season 3.

  11. I thought S1 of Bitten was bad but still watched it. Sh1t, when I catch up to S2 its gonna be torture.

  12. I loved it. I don't need them to get their memories back yet, I'm enjoying watching them find their way while still showing mad skills. This show is great n I can't believe that I actually love all the characters. I mean seriously that never happens for me. Lol maybe 2 or 3 but never all of them.

  13. I thought s2 of Bitten was much better than s1.

  14. Just caught up with the first two episodes, so far, so predictable. Not really feeling it at all, which is a real shame because I want to like it I really do but everything I've seen a million times before. I'm going to stick with it for a few more eps in the hope that it improves.

  15. I've seen space battles on Star Wars Rebels and on Guardians of the Galaxy and it's definitely a sight to see.

  16. Yeah liking all characters in a show is a rarity these days now, it's kind of sad isn't it?

  17. I'm going to watch Killjoys later, hoping its more impressive.

  18. Yeah it is. So what I do know is make sure I like or even better love the male n female lead and that the journey/story interest me. It makes up for when I have to deal with filler n blips. Lol

  19. Wouldnt all their personal information BE on the Internet? If they had done jobs before.. maybe a lot of jobs they could look up where 1 for example did his murder/ murders. There would be video files/ audio files/ other.

One scene I have an issue with in Particular was when 1 and 2 talked.. and then it cut to an immediate after scene where she apologised for.. something and then told him they had to stick together because and that he better not stay back on the planet, although Im not sure why. I have a feeling the scene might of meant more if there was something between them, but it was pretty much a back to back scene.

  20. Lou: I think the smaller cast will benefit Killjoys. With 3 leads, there is a lot more time to focus on each one. I do like it how the Company owns the SYSTEM. Thats just awesome (and fully how I expect our version of reality to do one day) Having 2 of the characters work for the RAC and thus fall outside of the 'rules' will benefit what sort of stories the show can tell and its also awesome we finally have a British character on a scifi show that isnt a male. (although an Australian accent would of been just as awesome)

  21. Huh that's true, you have to like the leads to even watch the show because it's THEIR story right?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Also that it's the actresses real accent and not fake.

  23. and is a fairly new actress, with a theatre background

  24. Definitely found it more enjoyable and yeah having 3 characters to focus on and develop in the future is definitely better than 7 main mostly bland characters. I love Dutch as well.

  25. I honestly read that that scene wrong, i thought she was telling him to stay and help the miners LOL, so i was confused by the Six and One conversation. So thank you for clearing it up for me.

  26. Yeah the data on the ships Hard drives was corrupted, but if you are a murder generally that tends to get publicity, kidnappings too. So if there is an 'internet' then that sorta information would be recorded on media somewhere out there.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Technically there all the leads...they each have their own story to tell and backstories as well!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh! OUT there, not on the ship, now i understand. Maybe they'll come across it when they're on another planet.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You consider the show an ensemble like Heroes or now Legends of Tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I actually watched both episode1 and 2 together and honestly even though I wasn't blown away, but I was intrigued, which is good. I'll definitely stick it out a bit longer.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'll agree with some of your points. Her knowing where to go and who to bring and how to get what she wanted I understand.
Her getting there and back so fast was a little wonky...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Which is probably why I love them all not one of these characters r written like fillers. That's what makes them all interesting.
