AMAZING EPISODE!!!!! I loved Vincent and Catherine so MUCH!!!! they were so cute, the new threat is definitely worse than anything they've gone up against. VINCENT AND CATHERINE ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this was amazing, just amazing and so much potential for a solid storyline with continuity. and the chemistry is just ridiculous. so many feels. just loved it
A solid start to what I expect is going to be the best season yet ~ VinCat is everything ~ love the love! Dr McBeastie's got my heart racing as usual *swoon* ~ Curiosity peaked regarding the new threat! Keep bringing it BATB hooah! \o/♥\o/
i think if u r gonna delve into "extra ordinary humans" u gotta touch the line where r they coming from and who r they ..but i guess we will come to that in the season finale
Awesome, the proposal was know to some of us who saw the spoiler back when it first came our while they were shooting. And awesome episode, interestingly this new guy that is enhanced is actually not a beast from what i saw which makes this very interesting.
But there is something here that bothers me since last season. Why haven't we saw anyone from Vincent's family? Back when he came out he was free to go and see them no one was threatening them and they surely knew he is back and alive. So why doesn't we see any of his family shown?
Great. Its different but its a good different. I just need them to now stop keep repeating that if he kills someone he will lose himself. Its not necessary. We all know the consequence of that and he has killed before and not lost himself so, perhaps that line isn't valid any more.
Lost of loving in this episode. it was obviously done as an ode to the fans.
Being a Beast for Vincent is sort of hair trigger, one false move and he loses himself. Maybe it shouldn't be repeated but it should never be forgotten right?
I enjoyed the epside and am so glad it's back but that was the one ing that bothered me. The whole premise of last season was Vincent crossing that line and then getting it back. So I agree that seems to be an old theme and I hope, not a repetitive one.
No, not forgotten. But she said a line to that effect to Tess, Heather and Vincent. It was too much and as Maureen points out, this was the whole premise of last season. Now that he is a strong, stable beast, we don't need to keep hearing the same things over, over again.
Let's face it. There's a lot of procedural stuff out there already and that just doesn't sell on the CW. What sells on the CW is undead, supernatural or action hero stuff. Take a look at the shows that are hits on there. Thats all there is, save but 1or 2 shows. It was a good episode to set up the rest of the season.
Great episode. Congratulations Vincent and Cat. How cute are they together? How adorable was Vincent when he told the nurse he had a date with his girl and was finally going to ask her to marry him, then asking MaƮtre D in the restaurant about how to do it. awwww When they had that talk in Vincent's boathouse I thought that rift is going to last a couple of episodes and we won't get the proposal. SO GLAD I was wrong. I expected an epic speech from Vincent but somehow it was better that he just said "Will you marry me?" Those two don't need to say anything, they just look at each other and my heart melts.
JT and Tess were cute. She was a bit harsh on him but he needed some tough love. I understand where he's coming from but I'm glad they didn't drag that story for too long.
This new threat sounds terrifying and exciting. I hope they handle it well.
It's so nice that heather knows now. Their scenes were cute and that sisterly advice she gave Cat was very insightful.
One thing I really didn't like in this episode is that Cat kept saying that she loves Vincent and she loves their life together then the following sentence she says their love shouldn't be everything. I understand what she means. She feels that they have a higher purpose and they are destined to do great things in their lives but it felt like she was defending herself. I don't like when the character's actions say one thing and their words say another. I don't need to be told that she loves him and wants to be with him over and over. I want to see that love for myself. I want to feel the desire to be together rather than told that's how they feel. And I definitely feel that from them. I just need the show to stop repeating itself, "I love you but our lives needs to be about more." "You will lose yourself and won't be able to get back and I will lose you." "We can't have a normal life because we are not normal and we will get bored." JT gives a pep talk (although it was a very depressing on this time lol). Vincent beasting out and Cat stopping him after being the one to kinda put him in that position in the first place. I love those scenes don't get me wrong but not every episode and not several times in one episode.
When he asked JT for the box with his mother's stuff I asked the same question. Did he contact his family at all? At least his nephew should've been curious. And I can't remember that but did they mention that his mother passed away? Why did he have her engagement ring before he went to war? And why did he keep it with JT?
The episode was GREAT, and I agree with the need to avoid those repetitions. Jay Ryan was "spectacular". He is getting more into his own skin, and doing things the way he feels about them. We need to see more of those acting skills, and Hollywood better take notice
valid questions, that were also raised right following Ep. 9/10 of season 2. That is why we need consistency and continuity, no more storylines hanging out there "unresolved". The Vin/Cat chemistry is amazing and the writers need to keep building on this theme to keep the show going strong
The only procedural that's actually lasting is iZombie and that's saying something. You're right about procedurals not selling in The CW, that's probably why they turned Beauty and the Beast strictly into a serialized show.
I think it's always been part of Catherine that she can't live a normal life, even back in Season 1 she always asked for Vincent's help, so i don't see it as her being flip-flopping i see it as more it being part of who she is.
True but I guess I am just a little fun shy still after Sesson 2, not a strong season in my opinion. You are right it is part of Cats nature but as someone else said you can't have it two ways, want a normal life but continue to put Vincent's humanity in question, knowing the potential. When she asked for help in Season 1 it wasn't for beast cases. I guess I just want a solid, strong season.
I wanted to wait for the official premiere but it has been an exhausting wait. There are too many spoilers popping out everywhere The first episode was much better than expected , VinCat centric with a little bit of everything to set up the season . Some of the dialogues were redundant and a bit boring , we have been there 1 million time , but I do hope they just wanted to highlight what happened over the curse of last season, ages ago. The fighting scene very much mirror Man or Beast but with a different ending. I guess it wasn't lazy writing but a consciuos choice. - The opening scene was cute and hot but was screaming fan-pandering out loud. LOL I'm not complaining . - The final scene was simple and emotional . VinCat at their best. The zoom-out is annoying. - JT : we know he can be funny and the voice of reason but it was interesting to watch him out of his comfort zone. - Tess - Heather : A bit disappointed. - Dr. Keller was jaw-dropping. - Vinny : It’s only my assumption but he sounded rather resigned . He's desperately trying to please Catherine but he really hates his alter-ego . I'm expecting troubles in paradise - Cat : an adrenaline junkie . Whenever she says she loves Vincent seems like she wants to add "but" to the end of the sentence. The truth is season 2 definitively changed her DNA or at least my perception about her character. It's a wait and see situation but the beginning sounds promising.
It was amazing, simply amazing I loved it, the Canadian Beasties had already spoiled me so I was prepared for all the goodness, my goodness I've missed this show, it was excellent on every aspect, the action, the bromance the friendship and sisterly love but most of all the Vincat goodness, I'm very happy my Beastie heart is happy!!!!!
Great start to another great yet different season. It's Beauty and the Beast and has to be romantic...how romantic can our beast/doc get to propose on one knee....swoon! Love the beast inside of him which effectively is a huge part of the show. ....impatiently waiting for next ep....yes yes yes yes!
Let's just enjoy the return of BATB, I loved the episode and can't wait for next week. They have evolved into a couple. And they both express themselves with honesty And thank goodness their romance is back!!!!!.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it was SO good - can't believe how much I missed this show :D
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a perfect set up episode for the rest of the season. Can't wait for next to air.
ReplyDeleteFinally, BATB is back! This was an amazing episode. I have a feeling this season is going to be everything we Beasties ever wanted.
ReplyDeleteThis episode should have been named: "The Bust of Wall Street".
ReplyDeleteAMAZING EPISODE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteit was an OK episode.
ReplyDeletei think if they had given more insight to procedural it would have been awesome. but still good/ok episode.
ReplyDeleteUm there is NO more procedural element to BATB
ReplyDeletethis was amazing, just amazing and so much potential for a solid storyline with continuity. and the chemistry is just ridiculous. so many feels. just loved it

I don't get what that has to do with a procedural though, you mean cases and stuff right? Because that's gone.
ReplyDeleteYeah i'm wondering about Vincent's family too, i hope we see them at the wedding at least.

ReplyDeleteCat - "How long can you last", and Vincent's reaction to those words...soooooooooooo sexy and cute
ReplyDeleteawesome!!! and i want more pls...
ReplyDeletethis is so hard reading everyones comments and not getting to see it myself til Thursday.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds worth the wait!
The only procedural that's actually lasting is iZombie and that's saying something. You're right about procedurals not selling in The CW, that's probably why they turned Beauty and the Beast strictly into a serialized show.
ReplyDeleteHis mom passed away?
ReplyDeleteI can agree with that, you're right.

ReplyDeleteSo you're basically spoiled yourself?
ReplyDeleteI liked that scene in the restaurant because no one ever asks to make sure their significant other doesn't choke on the ring LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhy else would her ring be with Vincent?
ReplyDeleteIKR? It's a very cheesy move anyway but it's a classic and I'm glad someone finally used their head lol
ReplyDeleteTrue but I guess I am just a little fun shy still after Sesson 2, not a strong season in my opinion. Aw now i'm sad that Catherine won't meet her mother-in-law.
ReplyDeleteHA! totally
ReplyDeleteWhy did you have to point that out? Now I'm sad too :(
