didn't know what to expect, but I really liked it. made me think a little Jerry Maguire meets On Any Given Sunday.. decent character set up and fairly impressed by the Rock. Will keep sampling
Hilarious. I'm a sports and NFL fan as well and liked seeing how they mocked the players and their agents. Johnson was good and very charismatic as Spencer. Surprised to see at the end despite him playing a cool, larger than life character, he himself is broke. That's why he really needs that wide receiver to be his client. Some funny cameos from Don Shula and Larry Csonka as well.
They did mention at some point how The Rock's character had gotten taken by his financial adviser... I presumed he hasn't recovered from the loss as well as he makes out and is most likely going to get more desperate to sign someone.
When even Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson can't make something look good then you know it's really bad...
That was one of the worst pilots I've seen... especially for HBO... And I was expecting this to be so good!
Firstly: It wasn't funny.... and fine say I can overlook that, but the promos made it look funny... and it was not. Secondly: The characters were in their majority very unrelateable Lastly: the acting was unbelievably stilled, or over the top and just over all bad!
(Thank goodness The Rock was there to save the show some face )
Bad bad bad... Unless the second episode blows me away I'm dropping this like a hot potato.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
